Antiquated is a very nice word for the bath house! The cement floor of the shower is disgusting. Flowered cloth shower curtains and a plastic lawn chair separate the two showers. Most charming of all... the machine on the wall to add 25c to use the shower. Reminds me of the 70s and the vibrating motel beds! Gorgeous property but not conducive to a relaxing camping experience.

We were able to crank up the tunes and not have to worry about bothering anyone. Prices were OK, I think it was $15 per tent per night. They have a building with bathrooms and showers (7 minutes for a quarter in the shower!), which is nice for the ladies who don't want to "rough it" all that much. Ask for a campsite on the hill, you get a nice view, and there's only 3 sites on the hill. We had all three to ourselves, so basically our own little hill, it was cool! I'm sure there are plenty of closer campgrounds around, but it was kinda nice to drive 3 hours into the middle of nowhere in WI to get there.

The Ho-Chunk Nation is bringing back bison to the lower Wisconsin riverway. The farm is located on…read morethe river, just outside of Muscoda, and they practice organic agriculture, and are also restoring native grass and the prairie. The bison meat is being used for the tribe's elderly in an effort to reduce diabetes (the meat is lower in fat and richer in iron than beef). Eventually, they would like to be able to sell the meat. Another benefit of the bison ranch is protection of the effigy mounds that are on this riverfront property, as well as the native wildlife. Local tours are given--call ahead to arrange one. I highly recommend a tour--this is a beautiful area in Wisconsin. I am biased though as this is where I grew up!

She is a scammer, and seems like she upcharges her guests for breaking her house rules, even if you've done nothing wrong. She is out to take her customers for an expensive ride, by upcharging them. It seems there is a legal loophole and she doesn't have to prove anything, so watch out for this person and don't stay here. Loss of business is the only (legal) way to deal with her, though, some day, someone with no regard for her life will get ripped off by her, and deal with her their own way. Not a Threat from me, just a prediction. Playing with fire usually burns the player. She will get burned.

It was very clean with a super shower and great bed and sink. I also like the nice little touches like a nightlight in the bathroom and a good microwave and refrigerator. This thing has wood paneling and three layers of seat covers. Only thing it needs is "free candy" written on the side! Running into rough waters, the next day we had to pull out of the river early and he came to get us. Our cars pulled up and we got rides back to the Waz Inn with no problem. Super helpful, plus, some of the best coffee I've ever had...no joke.
