I saw Dr. Miraglia in a practice with several other amazing Dr's as a child. My mom was a labor & delivery nurse so she knew all the best pediatricians. I never had a bad experience, I mean no kid likes having to get a shot but we talked about it first so I could understand why he had to do something that slightly hurt (great injection technique). This Dr was one of several that were there for you when you needed them. I think Dr. Miraglia gave me stitches after an accident, my mom didn't want me to have a bad scar & knew that he was the best doctor plus he was willing to stay at the ER later to suture me up. I wish I hadn't had to move when I did cause I have never liked any Dr more than my original pediatricians! I always hoped that I could return to the area so any children I had would see Dr's I already knew & felt comfortable with. I liked that the office was full of experienced Dr's that truly cared. I know my late mother would be able to write an even better review as a nurse/mom but since she can't I'll just say that she would be giving him an epic 5 star review. read more

Wow! That review made me so mad I had to write one. Dr. Frank Miraglia was my pediatrician for NINETEEN YEARS. 19 years. He almost snipped me as a newborn when everyone thought I was going to be a boy! I came out a girl. He has been the most amazing doctor I've ever had. I dread going to the doctor, but when I was little (and even all the way up to being 19) I LOVED going to see Dr. Miraglia. I was always excited to see him. He always had my mom and I giggling and happy, no matter if I had pneumonia or a small rash. He is absolutely like family to my mom and I. He also saw my brother most of his life, who is 30 now. We are both incredibly healthy and happy kids. This is more of a personal review, but don't let that review (that only one) with one review steer you away from Dr. Miraglia. Your kid will leave with a smile on their face, a new sticker every time (that was one of my favorite parts of the visit) and you knowing your kid is in the best shape they can possibly be. If not, he'll fix it. Also, he's a DOCTOR, he's not going to ask you a medical question that he needs to physically see! It's called a damn physical! Ridiculous. Anyway, he's amazing! read more

Dr. Miraglia is great and if we hadn't already been Dr. Brewers patients we would choose him (and do if Dr. Brewer isn't available he is our first choice!) Over 10 years ago we had a close call with our 8 month old....it was terrifying. Dr. Miraglia was the Dr. who met us at the hospital and walked thru the first parts of our ordeal. Even after Dr. Brewer came on the scene, Dr. Miraglia continued to check in on us. He also was the one who first diagnosed my child's asthma and taught me how to listen for telltale sounds. It just doesn't get any better than Dr. Miraglia. I was actually a patient of his lightyears ago, and he now sees my daughter Margaret. He is intelligent, experienced, kind, thorough and patient. The whole staff is very special as well, we have always been treated with courtesy and respect in his practice. The nurses and medical assistants and wonderfully patient and gentle with our little one. If you are in seek of a ped, Dr. Miraglia or any of his partners would be an excellent choice. Sadly I now live in Japan and will be seeing another provider locally, but if I can swing it , I am strongly considering flying back to the states for her 'big' visits every year, and simply handling routine care here. Dr. Miraglia is amazing! I found that 1 star review ignorant and rude ( I.e. speech impediment) I can reassure you that Dr. Miraglia does not have a speech impediment and I am sure that if you asked him to repeat what he said, he would do so kindly. Dr. Brewer is our regular physician but we have seen Dr. Miraglia a few times, I even saw him a few times when I was child, and he still remembers me and always give me a friendly greeting. He is very loving, reassuring, kind, and informative. He never leaves me confused or guessing. He listens, he cares, and I trust his word. He was just the on-call doctor this weekend and when I called about my sons ear pain he told me to come to the er and he would check for an ear infection. When I go there I waited no more then 15 minutes and sure enough he came right down and checked and had us on our way. My son loved him. He is a fantastic doctor. read more

that horrible review made so angry that I am writing a review. Dr Miraglia has been a doctor for so many years, and I think if he was really too rough on babies he wouldnt have such a busy practice. The doctor that delivered my children recommended him to me, and I could not be happier. And heres why: my son was born nice and healthy. really, just a dream of a child. but what happens 2 years down the road when your daughter is born with a life threatening, extremely rare disease often overlooked by health professionals due to the symtoms? You get a doctor who diagnoses it, gets her help in time, and saves her life. And throughout that horrible time in our lives he was nothing but caring, compassionate, and professional. And I never had a hard time understanding him while he was explaining in medical terms the fact that my child was in dire straits. I could not ask for a better doctor for both my children, and I am thankful for everything he has done for my family read more

I have never written on Yelp, but I have to sing the praises of Dr. Miraglia. We met Dr. Miraglia when my oldest son was 2 years old. He had been exhibiting marked motor skills delays , and our GP was basically not responding and saying "wait and see". My son was also extremely shy and anxious around people he did not know. A pediatric specialist friend of ours (anesthesiologist) insisted we see Dr. Miraglia. He immediately worked in depth with our son and ran every diagnosis in order to rule out the many possible serious disorders given our son's physical traits. He even got our insurance to cover a series of sessions with a physical therapist as part of the diagnosis process. He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable,conscientious and kind. My son does have a condition that has required occupational therapy, and modifications in school, but he is a stellar student and an athlete. I credit some of that to getting early interventions and not waiting, but seeing a man who knew what he was doing. He has continued to be our pediatrician for 11 years, and both my sons are very comfortable with him.We have not been thoroughly "western" in our parenting, but Dr. Miraglia listens and adapts to our preferences. My son is now in high school and over six feet tall, and he insists on going to see Dr. Miraglia because they have such a great relationship. He has been more than a physician, he is an adult whom my sons looks up to and listen to.Dr. Miraglia even gave great advice on a complicated science project.Those of you who have passed through the period of taking an adolescent for physicals will know how amazing it is when your physically-changing kid is perfectly comfortable with his doctor. read more

We just moved to the area, and were looking for a pediatrician for our 6 month old son. We saw the positive reviews of Dr. Miraglia, and made an appointment. AWFUL. This guy is a dinosaur. If you like a doctor with an attitude from the 1950s (in a nutshell: "kids don't remember anything, you can scare them/hurt them/do anything to them in an exam" and they won't remember), then this is your dream doctor. He poked and prodded our son's belly as a part of our well-baby exam so deeply, for so long, he was gasping for air. He tested his moro reflex by simulating free falling in his office, and stuck a wooden tongue depressor deep into his throat multiple times until he gagged (apparently the intention of the exam), to test his gag reflex (uh, just ask us, yes, our son gags when something goes down his throat the wrong way, you don't need to choke him to find that out). Finally, he told us that if we did not meet the EXACT immunization schedule within one week of seeing him, that we could not be seen at his practice. Oh, last thing, the guy talks a mile a minute, and seems to have some sort of speech impediment. Very difficult to understand. AVOID. read more
