I went in on Halloween due to a finger joint that is 3x the normal size and very painful. I was told I would be called with results of x-rays and lab work. both of which I was outsourced for. instead of a call, I received a text saying that things looked normal. No mention of care or what I should do next. I had to call back 3 times to even get anyone with credentials on the phone. when I asked about care and is there anything that can be done, the woman told me that I would need to be reevaluated at urgent care, for the same thing that I originally went to urgent care for. when I asked, "so I have to go to urgent care to get treated for the thing that I went to urgent care for 4 days ago?" she seemed irritated and told me that someone would call me. instead, I received another text telling me that a RX was sent in, but did not tell me what the RX was. I had to call the pharmacy to figure out what i was being prescribed. Tell me you just bill insurance, without telling me you just bill insurance. If you want care and treatment. May I suggest going to Peterson. they treat you like a person and not a walking dollar sign with a billable insurance card. NEVER AGAIN. I was told to go to ER by a Peterson nurse, as they thought it might be a blood clot, now I am scheduled to see an orthopedic surgeon. Far more serious than anything I would have thought, but people at Franklin sure didn't care. Also, those little girls they have running the front need a lesson in manners. Turns out this clinic does not accept walk ins close to closing time. a you are met by a young lady who lacks empathy and couth, as well as no respect for privacy or HIPPA as you have other patients directly next to you. They are "open" bc they must be, but are turning away patients bc they have an hour long procedure? Rather than take 5 minutes to give me antibiotics for an obvious staph infection, it is suggested loudly and with extra attitude that I should go to the emergency room and pay $1000 for antibiotics so she can go home. This clinic used to be awesome. It no longer holds that distinction. It just an insurance billing mill now. Most recently my mom was casually told she had cancer by a nurse. First of all wrong person to tell her as she was leaving a room, but more importantly she DOES NOT HAVE IT. What she had was a test result with irregularity. Was also told this was her second test with same results and she should have "checked her portal for results" Those results were not in the portal, only the most recent not a prior. When we went back to discuss results we were 20 minutes early. We waited patiently. After doctor was 10 minutes late we heard Autumn the receptionist turn another patient away for being 5 minutes late only to hear the doctor was running over and hour late. We weren't told he was late we overheard it. The woman who was turned away for being 5 minutes late was sick and needed doc and doc was so far behind he didn't even know she was 5 minutes late. Then we decided to leave and ask to reschedule and maybe for a televisit since it was just to discuss results. We also asked for the results to be posted to the portal they are so proud of. Autumn the reception was adamant that "THATS NOT GONNA HAPPEN" you have to stay and see the doc in person for results. Needless to say Autumn was so rude to not only us, but other patients we decided not to continue as patients. It was then told to the doctor by Autumn that we quit the practice as patients because we were mad we had to wait 10 minutes. Hahaha way to spin the narrative. The clinic has been in decline for a while and Fonda and Andrew seem to be the only ones seeing patients and over worked and always behind, yet even though my mom feels fine they insist to stay a patient there she has to come in for wellness visits all the time. Feels like an insurance scam. Btw, my mom doesn't have cancer and we have been given a referral for a new doctor in town. Hit me up if you want more opinions on why not to go here, least of all Is dealing with the horrible Autumn who works the phone and front desk. She is a shrew who lies. read more

Awesome doctors and service. I never have to wait more than a few minutes before they take me back. They're very friendly and answered all my questions. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to get some vein work done. My legs look so much nicer. read more

Chris Wallace is by far the best medical professional I've ever seen. He was thorough, knowledgeable and inquisitive. He did absolutely everything I would want a doctor to do and had excellent bedside manner. He talked through each issue gave me options. Treated me like a person, like he really cares. He and his supporting staff are second to none. I appreciate them being there in the best way when I needed it the most. read more

My wife came down with a nasty sinus infection while we were vacationing at Escondida Resort just south of town. We asked the staff whether there was a Texas MedClinic in Kerrville, they said the only walk-in clinic they knew of was Franklin Clinic--and they recommended it. We didn't feel like driving all the way back into San Antonio, so we gave the local team a try. I was very favorably impressed with the speed with which my wife was seen as well as with the friendliness and professionalism of everyone we met. They examined my wife, gave her a couple of shots and prescribed some medicines to be picked up at the local CVS/pharmacy. And the price was very reasonable as well! You always hope you won't need a walk-in clinic while you're touristing, but it's nice to know that Franklin Clinic is there when you need them. Check 'em out! read more

My husband had a 8:30 appointment and was the first to sign in on the appointment sheet at 8:15. He as finally taken back at 8:50 where his vitals were done. We could here the staff laughing and gossiping at the desk. At 9:40 we still had not seen a provider and decided to leave. This is a poorly run medical office and I would recommend finding another clinic. read more

Do not waste your time here. Husband had ruptured Achilles, PA sent us over to MRI Now, only to be told we had to wait for authorization from the insurance company. Called the clinic the next day to see what the status was and Cynthia tells me that she's given the info to insurance and now it's wait and see. I asked if she had called them and she tells me again like I'm hard of hearing "I gave them the information, you'll have to wait til we hear back". I called insurance myself - they tell me we don't need authorization. Called Peterson and had the MRI done the next morning. The next afternoon Cynthia calls to tell us it's okay to go get the MRI. Lazy, incompetent. If you're looking for pills, MAYBE they'd be worth it. If you're really hurt, go to the ER. read more

Please don't waste your time by going to this clinic. The nurses in the back and the Doctors are good, but the people they choose to hire for the front are completely incompetent and never follow through with what they say they are going to do or what the doctor says. They can't do anything at this clinic so they have to send an order to the hospital for you and getting them to that would take an act of Congress. I implore you to go else where, it's not with the all the drama especially when you are sick. read more

My long-time doctor recently sold his practice and joined the franklin clinic. My son has seen this doctor, prior, on several occasions, including school physicals and immunizations. Tried to get him in for a school physical and was notified they (franklin clinic not doctor) won't file insurance for a physical. If we want him to get one there, we have to pay full price $55+ when our insurance would cover it completely. I looked up their web page and on their urgent care site it clearly states they file insurance for physicals. I never knew it could be so hard to get a teenager a physical. Moving to the franklin clinic was my doctor's worst decision. read more

Terrible. Franklin Clinic looked at a swollen infected knot on my husband's knee for about two seconds, pronounced it a spider bite & prescribed an antibiotic. Gave minimal instructions/guidance. After 24 hours on antibiotics, my husband's knee was quite worse. He ended up in the ER where they had to open/drain the infection. ER told him that the wound had none of the characteristics of a spider bite. Thank goodness he went to ER. ER doctor said he probably would have been in major trouble come Thanksgiving if he had not been treated today. Franklin Clinic wasted our time and money, but most importantly, put my husband's health at risk. Won't go back. read more

Received a 5 minute exam from the Physician's assistant (you will not see the phantom Dr. Franklin) was told I had a viral infection and it would have to run its course. A month later I received a bill for close to 500.00! In my opinion this place is a racket preying on the vulnerable. Dr. Franklin is a very wonderful man. I just moved back into town and was dealing with some horrible back pain. He got me in as soon as he could, asked many many questions, and started a treatment that day that has already show some improvement. He was very direct without being mean, I am overweight and that is effecting my back, but instead of doing what a lot of doctors do which is blame it on that and walk away, he went thru ways to help, and steps we are going to take to help the pain while I'm trying to loose more weight. The clinic itself always seem very busy and as a result a little disorganized, but the people there do really care about their patients. My Rx kinda got lost in the mix of things so I had to go back and wait til they were able to confirm it and fax it in. The girls at the front desk were very patient when I was very upset and honestly pretty mean and irritated. It does seems that when you have an issue with anything, they try to correct it as fast as they can. read more
