    This review is to let people know not to waste their time…read more The absolute disregard for people's time and money cannot be stressed. After communicating through text message and phone, I confirmed the date they gave me. Flew out from another state, spent money on a hotel and a rental car just to be told our appointment was not confirmed. They attempted to give me a time earlier than the time I was originally given which I could not make given the time difference from the area I am driving in from. I was told they were full for the day and tomorrow unless I could make that time work, which I said I could not. Instead of making the situation right and taking full responsibility for the miscommunication, I was asked, "you never gave us your son's information so how were we supposed to make the appointment?" More information was NEVER asked of me. I simply confirmed the appointment date and was not prompted anything else. Again, instead of correcting the situation or trying to amend it, I instead was blamed for their lack of communication and clarity. This was an appointment for my 14 year old son who has been severely struggling with chronic lyme symptoms and we are already at our wits end trying to help him. The blatant lack of care, consideration, and communication specifically by Chrissy, can cost your family thousands of dollars you do not have to spend on a specialist who will not make time for you when their office has made a mistake. I should also note, when I followed up the day before, I didn't receive any message or email back, it was only after I had to call past opening time, for me to be told the appointment was not confirmed. Again, they do not care about your time or your money or your sick child. That they've made perfectly clear.

The way he practices is like nothing I've ever experienced. He spends time with his patients and is not dependent on a prescription pad to fix your ailments. He treats the problem not the symptoms and that makes all the difference in the world. He is genuinely passionate about helping each individual client and sets the expectations appropriately. I know several people who went to him as a last resort because they weren't able to find a solution anywhere else. The reason is because he's approaching health from a completely different perspective while considering all parts of your body and how they work together. I am not a fan of doctors of any kind. I am typically pretty suspicious of the medical field in general. But I would trust Dr. Dearing and his staff to take care of every person I love. Thank you again for what you did for me.

    I booked an appointment a month in advance for alpha gal treatment. I paid $150 towards the $550…read morewhich is the total amount for the service. The $150 is to hold your spot, totally understandable. When booking they send you a form that says they don't allow small children during the appointment. I read it but unfortunately I have no family or help out here, my husband and I moved here from out of state 6 months ago. My husband works full time and my appointment was at 10:15 on a Friday. So I drive an hour and half to my appointment and I show up with my 10 month old daughter in her stroller, toys packed, snacks packed, bottles packed. Anything I can to keep her occupied. Karen, the office manager opens the door, no greeting, no kindness, no warmth. Just takes one look at me and my daughter and says "it's going to be about 20 minutes and we don't allow small children" I tell her that I just drove and hour and half and I have no other option. I'm immediately insulted and embarrassed. They didn't even give me an opportunity to show them my daughter would've been totally fine for the appointment since she's used to it. I have to bring her with me everywhere, I have absolutely no help. Karen was combative, rude and fought me to the bitter end. Mind you, we're standing outside of the office not even in the privacy of the office. She didn't even allow me inside, she moved me stroller out of the way and shut the door behind her. The owner Scott who does the procedure is at the desk, wouldn't even come outside to acknowledge what was going on even though he clearly saw and heard. Karen was cold, heartless, and belittling. There was absolutely no warmth towards me as a new customer. She could've come outside and said "Good morning, I know your appointment is at 10:15, we're running a bit behind I'm sorry. Also our policy is that we don't allow small children, do you think she's going to be okay during the appointment or would you like to reschedule?" The entire conversation would've went differently had she not treated me and my baby like an inconvenience. At this point I'm in tears because I obviously do not want to give them my business, I want to take my baby and go home and Karen is arguing with me about policies and refusing to give me back my $150. After arguing with her for 10 minutes outside, she says she'll talk to the owner and see about changing the refund policy this time. She calls me and says "we will refund you the $150, I hope you're happy about it" no apology or empathy. I leave and drive an hour and half back home. The owner never called to apologize. I understand kids can be annoying, but have some compassion for the mothers who don't have any other options. We're human beings too that deserve the same treatment as everyone else.

Franklin Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine popped up, so I called Saturday morning and was able to get in to see Scott Nugent L.Ac. who treated my son with herbs and acupuncture. Scott was super nice and informational and helped my son feel so much better before we had to fly home on Sunday. Thank you so much for seeing us and helping my son feel better. I would highly recommend going to see Scott Nugent L.Ac. In Franklin, TN.
