STAY AWAY. It's been 9 months since my settlement was awarded and I still don't have any payment. I have done everything they've asked me to do and at EVERY turn, something happens that extends my payout. First attorney left/got fired and did nothing except create issues for my case. Refused to go to court and forced me to take a settlement that was a quarter of what we asked for. When it was time to go to court, he made up all these excuses of why he wouldn't take it to court. Then all of the sudden a month and a half went by with no word from him. After calling and leaving text messages for weeks, I got a guy saying he is my new attorney. I could only surmise that the original attorney was fired because of how incompetent he handled my case thus far. With hope the new attorney would fix all the bad from the original one. NOPE, maybe even worse. Luke continuously tells me he's going to do things and never does. Gonna talk to the VA, didn't happen. Going to request a partial payout months ago, nope didn't do that either. He'll call me by certain times, guess what, doesn't do that either. All I hear is that I should be happy with the amount of the settlement. They don't care about anything but their money. Supposed to be a 30% "fee" unless we go to court. Now they are saying 35% and my attorney "will ask" if they can keep it at 30%. There was no going to court. Why is this even a question? Constant "restructuring" delaying conversations with the necessary people to get things finalized. He wants me to be happy with paying the VA their proposed final lien, when they have almost $3000 dollars in preexisting injuries on the lien. Case involved a truck accident. The attorney did a good job resolving the case but we can't get our money from the law firm. Since we have paid a lot of medical bills out of pocket, we really need the money from this case to pay outstanding medical bills. However, our check has been sitting in the accounts payable department for almost three weeks and we don't know when we will get the money. Our attorney indicated someone from the payroll department retired and that's the problem. So what! The firm needs to realize this is not acceptable and level up immediately. Don't waste your time with this law firm, Leanna asked multiple questions regarding my insurance coverages and claims during the call, plus requested to see a copy of my insurance card, she asked me to text all documents so they can review them. After 30 minutes on the phone, I was placed on hold and the call ended, I called back multiple times but it was impossible to reconnect with her, she called and texted me a couple times, we played phone tag for a couple days but I ended up hiring another attorney. I had to call back and go through the whole situation again and she blamed me for having to go through the situation again! Don't they save notes? Awful. So awful. My case went through 5 different lawyers. No one ever knew what was going on. My boyfriend and I were left in the dark 80% of the time and only heard anything when WE reached out. I got rear ended pretty bad (December of 2020), still have horrendous back issues and pain every day. My boyfriend was the passenger in MY car. He walked away with 20k in pocket, and they put 7k in my pocket. Mind you, my car was totaled and I didn't have a vehicle for over a month. Still seeing a chiro and doing accupuncture. I could have taken it to court, but it was stated that if I do, I could walk away with even less than what they "fought for". Let me adjust this rating to what is reflective of my gross experience with this firm. Firstly, I would not wish a car crash - these are not accidents when someone barrels into the back of your vehicle - on anyone. When you are alone, the day before Thanksgiving, you cannot phathom how excruciating adding this experience on top of everything can feels. Long short of this - my vehicle was totaled. I spent my holidays - and the next 2 years recooperating without insurance. My 1st lawyer quits a few weeks into my case. My 2nd lawyer casually went on vaca without relaying it to his clients, NOR did anyone cover for him. I received drips of miniscule offers to settle, that wound up totaling $6K after Azar took their beef of the amount - all of this went into selling my house because I could not manage.
