I didn't even recover my expenses to be in litigation for 3 years. Winning this case- regarding the profound health impacts of toxic mold exposure- in a public forum was important not only for me and my children but for the countless people who are sick because they live in water-damaged buildings that are not properly repaired by those responsible for making the repairs. A win would have validated my knowledge- confirmed by medical reports backed by peer-reviewed research- that my children have a genetic disorder of the innate immune system that makes exposure to certain toxins extremely consequential.
