Security seems pretty tight and the tenants always seem pretty pleasant in passing so from the outside it seems like it might be a nice place to live. Definitely not a bad place to visit, especially since there are so few rooftop spaces in Syracuse. If you ever get the opportunity to catch a rooftop yoga class here, DO IT.

My front door was broken to the point of me not being able to live there for 3 months for safety reasons not to mention the bottom door of the building is broken as well. The washer in my building has been broken since I moved in 3 years ago. I did not have a carbon monoxide detector for the 3 years I've been there I brought that to their attention while getting my front door fixed. The door frames are rotting which is why the screws are coming out of the hinges and they do nothing about this. I continuously have to find ways to unclog my tub because they haven't come to fix it. They also serve other tenants on the bottom door of the apartment building with all their personal business on it. I have videos of the bottom door and the serving of the paper but won't post for protection of my neighbor.

After a long search, I found Emily's C. review here on Yelp and got very interested. I wanted to live where she lived. Emails and phone calls, scanning and faxing all done online. April and Steve, from administrative staff were very helpful. Chip and maintenance staff are wonderful as Emily stated. Our apartment is gorgeous, marble, granite, brazilian hardwood floors, SS appliances, 24/7 security. Available parking underground at an additional fee. We love that post office, bank, library, cafe, bus stop, the Landmark Theater is around us. It is Downtown, and we see all kinds of people. They are all doing their own thing, just go about your business and you will be fine. Lots of people either work around here and here in this building. Plenty of great restaurants, things to see and places to visit. We love it here.

There are not many residential spaces that allow dog friendly accommodation and we were happy that the building allows dogs but is also located next to a park where we can enjoy our evenings with the puppy. Repairs/requests have ALWAYS been addressed promptly - most within 24 hours of my e-mail. I've never experienced that level of quality service, anywhere. We love the size of our apartment especially the kitchen. The gym is well equipped and the residents can enjoy the common room on the fourth floor. We are happy that we get to entertain our guests on the 4th floor lounge / game room , and my favorite the rooftop terrace that includes two barbecue grills. The management is always organizing social events so we get to meet our neighbors and enjoy the surroundings. I highly recommend IRON PIER Apartments if anyone is looking to have a downtown experience in Syracuse.

There were wires sticking out of one of the bedroom walls, nothing was painted, there were cracks in the walls, and they told us it was being worked on for 4 months! It was a disgrace! Definitely not worth the money they charge for rent. They don't return phone calls or emails and they lie. You don't wanna live here.

Everything went smoothly with my move in and Corey from the office, was great making it a great experience. Through out the summer I have had no issues at all. I never hear any neighbors while in my apartment and when I see them in the hallway they are very nice and It's clean in the hallways. It's clean in the basement, and there are lots of laundry machines down there that were upgraded just before I moved in which is awesome! The machines work absolutely wonderful and can be controlled by an app on your phone. Rugby Square Apartments have continued to make improvements since I moved in replacing all the front doors and now the front doors are keyless and we have new key fobs. I really have no complaints. I have NEVER seen any roaches anywhere on the property or any bugs really and I pay attention. The courtyards are really nice looking and lite up nicely at night. I feel very safe here and there is also a underground garage for parking. The place is in a great location in Sedgwick's upper class neighborhood. I feel safe going on walks here! Shop city is 1/2 a mile away and the highway is right down the road. A few months ago management made it possible to do everything Online. You can pay rent online and submit any issue you may have along with other options which is so much better than calling. My toilet was starting to flush slower every day it was getting worse and then it started to overflow. So I submitted my first ever work oder. I submitted my report on October 30, and on October 31 maintenence was here. They tried to fix it but it was still flushing slow so they left and I was worried but to my surprise they were back in less than 1 hour very with a brand new toilet and they hooked it up in 20 minutes and now everything is working wonderfully. They were fast and respectful and I really couldn't be happier living here! I have been renting for over 20 years and I have NEVER had a maintenance experience like this before where the problem gets fixed immediately. I really appreciate this place and Corey and Maria in the office are really wonderful people! Please don't listen to the negative reviews. Come here for a tour and see it for yourself! I had called in advance to state I wanted to view one that was clean and ready to live in. The next on to view was the two bdrm. Like the first, it was dirty.. stains on wall. The basement had water coming in through wall and there seemed to be mice droppings in washer sink. The outside was just as bad with trash piled up near dumpster and filth. Associates in office were not nice, nor did they have a clue as to when upkeep of premises would take place. Needless to say, I will not be renting from Briarcliff Estates. Bad idea.....bad place for humans to live.

One evening I was woken up by a lady screaming "get off of me" and when I got up to see who it was a lady was rolling around on the ground while her friends tried to calm her down and the police were just watching. They put in new windows but only in select apartments. The air conditioner was not working and we had tried for over a month to get someone to come fix it but they did not. We were not one of the apartments picked for new windows so even if we wanted to put in an air conditioner we couldn't. During the winter maintenance would rarely plow the drive way which was impossible to get up if you did not have 4 wheel drive. One night we had to shovel our way up the drive way in order to get out. They do not salt and there was always trash everywhere. This apartment complex is over priced for all of the things it does not offer. I would not recommend this place.
