The helpful folks at Frank's Food Mart, around the corner, confirmed that Verdigre Bakery was not irrevocably closed, but was simply no longer operating on this summer Saturday's afternoon; they were also especially kind to refer my friend and I to Jack's, where they figured we'd be able to find a kolach or two, Frank's not stocking any (-- I must say, though, that for a "world capital" of a thing, Verdigre seems to possess a relative paucity of producers of that thing). Turns out that Jack's plies plenty of kolaches, and they're even sourced from *the* town bakery (which, coincidentally, is the only bakery, and moreover named for the town). These kolaches, while certainly not freshest from the source, were decently priced, and of decent taste, too. Most everything else promised by Jack's outdoor placard I did find offered within its walls; however, I was disappointed not to discover any "Bohemian Style Jaternice," though I may not have searched with due alacrity. C'est la Verdigre, I suppose; at the very least, Jack's was the only establishment not closing or closed.

They humiliated her over an over.. it was uncalled for and I'm disappointed in myself for not standing up for her. If anyone should be reprimanded.. it was the older lady.. she was rude and belittling... That needs to be addressed.. I don't care what shoes the young gal has on.. Super hot because they never wait around before delivering your food. Not overly salty either, which is a change for locations serving this type of chicken. They also give you a FAIR distribution of pieces, not all legs! Pizza is really fun. The cheese topping they use is that fun, stretchy, chewie cheese with great flavor. I've only ever eaten pepperoni there, so I can tell you the amount of pepperoni you get on your pie is generous. I love their crust as well. It's not that paper thin stuff and it's not that thick chock you stuff either. They have a nice in between size crust that is pleasant to eat, it seems to me to also have a bit of a sweet taste to it which I find pleasant as well. Double cheese burger basket...perfect! Patties from real hamburger pressed into a thick consistent pattie with great beef flavor. I order fries with mine (you can get fries, wedges or curly fries) they come to you HOT. They are not those skinny fries you get from large chain store clown burger places either. Chicken strips are more like chicken oars! Large wide "strips". The only down fall I found was in the ranch dressing I like to eat them with, it's too runny and the flavor has a washed out effect. BBQ is good and thick, just not my personal choice for strips. Daily lunch specials that are generously portioned and tasty, I've enjoyed them. Many other menus choices I've not tried yet. All in all, for a gas station, great!

As the only customer at 3 pm on Tuesday June 25th in the store three employees while sitting on the food service counter and making food and another at the register just text messaging I was ignored for two full minutes until I finally left the register where I had been ignored and walked out. I called the store June 26th to tell the manager what happened and he yelled at me that he didn't understand refused to give me info on how to contact the store manager with my concern and hung up on me. He was shift lead Dave. If your managers don't care about customers being ignored while employees violate basic food safety laws and put their butt germs on the pizza counter where customers eat then it's clear my 8 grand can go to BP. See ya I used to work for the owner of Kum n go at his house doing yard work and ever since he sold it the quality of service has plummeted to being a waste of my precious time and as a business owner with multiple colleagues spending what I spend we are all in agreement to never shop at these stores and the estimated annual revenue loss from this is about 30k.
