This spot was one of the gas stations we visited on our way out and we needed to stretch our legs and get some coffee. I also needed to use the restroom, which I found to be clean. When grabbing our coffee and snacks, we found everything was well organized. The employee who checked us out at the register was friendly and got to us quickly. So, I went in and purchased some bison summer sausage. The owner told me how his father had started raising buffalo over 60yrs ago and now he continues. As the sun set, we were offered some of South Dakota's stunning array of colors.

It is convenient to have a grocery store in Dell Rapids, but we try to limit our trips here to last…read moreminute necessities and non-perishables only. We have had multiple occasions where products, particularly dairy products, have been expired and have seen multiple times when milk has been allowed to sit out on the store floor while the cooler has been being serviced. Even though they are very local for us we still do our regular grocery shopping in Sioux Falls whenever we can. On the plus side, though, the staff is usually very friendly and the store is kept pretty clean.

I go to the co op very frequently and spend lots of money there. Today, I went in to pickup lunch…read morefor my family and ordered two smoothies. The lady working in the kitchen area put both drinks UNCOVERED in an extremely flimsy carrier. When I turned to go finish shopping, both smoothies dropped on the floor from the carrier and exploded everywhere. It got on an employee, an older couple ordering food, my BRAND NEW shoes, my sweatshirt, pants & white socks and stained them all. Not once did any of the 5 employees offer to help or apologize, except one. He says "What kind of smoothies were they" I proceeded to say that I will pass, as I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for someone to make them for them to spill again. I hope someone from co op sees this and can make things right.
