I presented him with R&B and he filled in extra time with Motown that was a nice warmup that pleased the different ages of guests. Whenever we'd message her we'd get an almost instant response, and she'd reply to many (many!) messages per day. We got a great deal on their services through a website that offered good deals, and they're one of the vendors we're very happy with. The owner, Rod, was also very helpful and would go out of his way to make sure we could take advantage of the offer they had. When the time came, we went to their office to see what lighting equipment they had to offer. There were tons of options, from all sorts of intelligent lights to uplights to projectors and screens. Brent, one of their DJs, explained everything to us and made sure we got a package that was exactly what we were looking for. Until we get married, we have the task of coming up with play lists (do not play, please play, cultural music requests, etc) using their extensive and user-friendly website. We feel very confident that our experience with them will continue to be a good one, as we have never (ever!) had any reason from them to believe otherwise. First of all, Aaron picked up the phone and called me within two hours of my inquiry, whereas other companies just sent me back messy, unprofessional emails. Aaron and I talked for a bit, I told him what I was looking for, he tempered my expectations (politely, I might add!) and he told me what kinds of services were available and what he would recommend. He sent me over a contract very promptly and it was very easy to make the decision to choose Impact. Out of the gate, I knew that if we went with Impact, we would be in very good hands. Aaron wasn't hesitant to call me so that we could discuss details and pricing on the phone; he went so far as to call me to verify all of the details we had discussed over phone calls and emails just to make sure he had everything down right. As the day got closer, there were some details that I just hadn't had time to finalize. Aaron called me to gently remind me that he needed them and in the end, we chatted on the phone and figured it all out in 10 minutes! He was able to provide appropriate music recommendations for the various parts of our ceremony and reception and basically helped me finish all those last minute choices. We didn't have an MC and I wanted a DJ that would be able to handle that piece of the day and Aaron NAILED it. People thought that he was a close personal friend, that's how good of an MC he is! He kept the momentum going throughout the night and kept in touch with me as things changed or if we had any hiccups. We can't say enough great about Aaron - our guests are still raving about the dance floor (we ended up having TWO dance floors because people were having so much fun dancing) and how great the music was. The day of, he got everything down pat for the ceremony, did a great job in playing the genres we chose, transitioned/faded/cut exactly as discusses, and kept the crowd going during reception. His set up was very good in terms of sound and technology. Our guests were able to request songs via text as well. Because I am a child of the internet, my search for a GTA MC with the ability to speak Canto, Mando, and English led me to Roy's Weddingwire profile, then his Facebook, then his impressive highlight reel. He seemed energetic, fun, and most importantly, reasonably priced! He also has a team that does DJ-ing. Perfect. We exchanged emails over the year of planning, answered some questions, but ultimately, I didn't get the full effect of his awesomeness until the day of. The games he played were a total surprise to us and he planned everything with some input from us on comfort level. The end result? Perfectly professional, brought hype to the room like no other, and made everyone's night! His games were unique, and most importantly, interactive. You know that shoe game so many people play? (Couple back-to-back, raises shoes for answers to "who is more likely..." questions). Cute, simple, but really kinda the same after awhile. Roy was so much more than just our MC. He was our GM for the reception and the entertainer. By the…read moretime it got to the reception half of the day was done and the timing of events for the reception was much more detailed. Even with a schedule I planned just weeks before Roy was able to run the whole show as if we had rehearsed it and planned every detail. This gave us incredible peace of mind. Roy was truly the professional MC. He spoke eloquently and was able to cater to a room of people that spoke 3 languages and have them all laugh. It was a Filipino- Chinese wedding and both sides were entertained by the games that we played and the flow of the night. When my hard- to -please aunt told my dad after the wedding that she was impressed by the MC I knew that we had chosen right. He prepared the bridal party along the way by reminding us if there was a dress change to be done, a slide show coming up or a speech. The wedding went by fast especially with so much fun and we truly appreciate Roy's ability to manage us. We opted to have his DJ come with him and it was another great choice. She was amazing. She was completely in tune with what the guests wanted to hear and had us dancing until the venue had to close. Choosing Roy was one of the best decisions we had for our wedding. He was respectful, always responded promptly to our emails, and worked the room effortlessly. 20 or 50 years from now when I remember our wedding I'm going to remember our night was successful with the help of our amazing MC, Roy the ProMC!
