Our situation is a bit unusual(or maybe not?)in that we were left in substantial debt by a…read morecontractor who caused us significant liens, owed vendors, subcontractors and the loss of 1/4 of our original deposit. We were between a rock and a hard place, 1400 miles from the home we were building and needing a contractor on our permit to move forward. To say we trusted no contractors is an understatement. We were given contractor Bentley Pinder's name by another victim of our original contractor. His words, "Call Bentley Pinder. He is someone you can trust." He knew Bentley well, because he had hired him to finish his home addition. We called Bentley who sympathized with our situation and wanted nothing more than for us to have a positive experience moving forward. Bentley communicated with us throughout the process. We were encouraged to call in return and were always greeted with professionalism, positivity, encouragement and even humor when it was needed. Bentley has eased our stress from working with the permit process, scheduling multiple inspections, coordinating deliveries that kept the building process running smoothly, making suggestions, to personally pouring our back patio and driveway. He was our " eyes and authority" as we had already hired a few subcontractors to help complete the process. We are so thankful to have found a trustworthy competent contractor. I do not recommend Climb Tree Family or Ricardo, the owner. My experience was extremely…read moredisappointing, and I felt that Ricardo was very dishonest about the price and what he promised to complete. Our agreement was $3,000 for one full day of work. Ricardo specifically told me that within that one day he would completely remove the tree, along with completing several other jobs around my property. Based on that representation, I agreed to the $3,000 price. At the end of the day, the tree was not fully removed. Ricardo then told me that finishing the tree would require another full day at another $3,000--essentially doubling the price from what I had been led to expect. He also left debris behind that he had told me he would remove. When I called and asked him to return and pick up the debris, he told me he was already done for the day and would not come back unless I agreed to give him the additional work. At that point, I told him he was no longer welcome back on my property. If I had been told from the beginning that completing the tree could cost $6,000 instead of the $3,000 I was quoted for the day's promised work, I would have made a different decision. Based on my experience, I found the entire situation unprofessional, misleading, and very disappointing. When a business owner gives a customer a price and specifically says what will be accomplished for that price, I expect them to honor their word. I would not use Climb Tree Family again and cannot recommend Ricardo or his company.
