I have been trying to put this nightmare behind me for eight months now, EIGHT MONTHS and we still can't close my claim. My claim gets passed around from adjuster to adjuster and no one seems to care enough to notify me of it, not with an Email, no letter, not even a call. I had to reach out to the BAR to help me negotiate with the body shop since my insurance failed To remove the vehicle causing it to rack up some ridiculous storage fees; i with the help of Mr Hamlet (from the BAR) was able to lower the storage feed from $16k plus to $1,875. They were quick to pick up the vehicle from my residence within a few hours of me, taking it out of the shop but its about to be five months and they can't finish reimbursing me. Now going based on the settlement agreement,they owe me $2578.72, again it's been eight months how long does it take for them to close a claim?!!!! read more

I have NEVER encountered customer service this horrible...anywhere, ever. Their driver hit my car in November '25...it's now January 31 and I finally received the payment (of under 2k on a car they deemed totaled). They don't return calls until you leave dozens (no exaggeration) of voicemails. Their claims adjusters are rude and do their best to speak extremely fast and unintelligibly. I had to report them to the department of insurance to finally get a call back (after which they dropped the ball again). They guessed my car's mileage, never requested it and were 20k high, I had to send them time stamped photos of the odometer which they claimed they didn't receive, I had to send three times. Same with comps they requested after I disputed the value they placed on my car. Before the accident I had a mechanically sound/physically perfect car. It's an old car but it had nothing wrong with it. They gave me less than 2k...in no way enough to find a car in the same condition (or in ANY drivable condition). I wound up having to shell out 8k to get a used car. Absolutely corrupt, inept, disdainful - there was not a single person I spoke with who displayed any interest in helping me, it's as if they're trying to be rude to make you give up. Sadly, none of us have a choice if we're in an accident and the at-fault driver has this insurer. TLDR - they're horrible, keep a close record of how many calls you had to make and document everything. Be prepared for a very bumpy ride (or no ride at all when they're done with you). One of their policyholders hit my car and was clearly at fault (police report filed and two witnesses), yet from day one this has been a nightmare: * Their claims line constantly hangs up after the "please stay on the line" message -- no matter what time of day you call. * When I reached the main number, I was told they "Don't start until 10 a.m." even though their recording never mentions that. * I've had to give my police report number three different times. * One day they say they've received their policyholder's information, the next day they claim they haven't. * They even gave my insurance company a fake claim number, then denied ever taking the call, forcing me to start over. BEWARE! Do not work with this insurance. It's a scam. Fred Loya does not want to cover the basic expenses even for inspection of the truck. My body shop billed out 2600$ just for inspection and storage. About 1200 for inspection labor to one the truck up and see all the internal damage. Storage, Admin fees, etc. Reason why they're charging so much for storage is because Fred Loya has taken so long to go on with the process. We're always just waiting on them. This oversight should have been a red flag; regrettably, I placed my trust in their commitment to honor the monthly agreements. My initial automatic payment was higher than the quoted amount; it was $63.82. I was immediately upset because they withdrew more money than what I had agreed to. I felt very disappointed with Fred Loya for not honoring the quote they had provided when signing me up. After pondering for a few hours, I considered disputing the price difference and starting anew with a different insurance company. However, I decided against it and remained with Fred Loya, assuming the difference was only $4.00. On 03/17/2021, I was hit by a car insured by Fred Loya Insurance. The driver was driving illegally without a US driver's license, only a Mexican passport. We were both driving along a 3-lane road--I was in the left-most lane and she was in the middle. She made an illegal left turn from the middle lane attempting to turn into an intersection and caused the accident, hitting the front passenger's side of my car. I called police to the scene, but they did not do an official police report because they said no one was injured or intoxicated. Fred Loya only granted me 70% of damages and were nearly impossible to contact by phone during the entire process. I have left numerous phone messages and have asked to talk to the insurance adjuster and a manager, and no one ever answers or returns my calls. I'm providing factual information on why you should never do business with Fred Loya Insurance from my own personal experience. Their insured rear ended my vehicle July 3, 2021 it's now October & things are not resolved. I even had to contact my own insurance. I had to obtain the police report and send it to them. They told me the insured party had 40 days to make a statement. Due to the accident on the expressway my car didn't show much physical damage, but begin to not shift properly. The adjuster knew of this and didn't even bother to investigate. Instead he made me wait almost 25 days to go back and pretend to check the mechanical damage. Then after Ricardo from Fred Loya got me a rental car they would cancel it every couple days, and then enterprise rental would contact me. So I constantly stayed on the phone with the Fred Loya, the rental department, and the rental company. Then they lied and told the Enterprise that my car was fixed, but it wasn't. They said that because the car was in the shop the max amount of time. However, the only reason that happened is because he waited 3 weeks later to falsify conducting a proper inspection while giving Chris at the dealership a hard time. They also poorly notated the account a few times to the point where they didn't even where my car was. Now Alexis V is denying my all medical treatment after my visit to the ER... She also started with a offer of $250 pain and suffering/lost wages. Even though I wasn't able to drive my business vehicle which is approved to drive commercially for 3 months. This is an insurance company that gives the insurance industry a bad name. We had an accident on 3/11 with a driver insured by this company. Their driver admitted fault at the scene. He stated that he was reaching for something in his car and ran a red light. My stepson, driving my wife's car, called my wife and asked if he should call the police. Seeing as there were no injuries and the police are currently very busy with the health situation, plus their driver admitted fault, she said not to bother them. We called Fred Loya and they picked up the car and towed it for evaluation. Within 3 days they said the car was totaled. They said they are waiting for their driver to respond to their phone calls. We provided text messages from their driver apologizing and admitting it was his fault. They will not accept that as proof and asked if we had a police report. So now it's been 12 days and their driver hasn't responded so they will not pay the claim. This is forcing me to go through my insurance company and accept a $1000 deductible on collision. Okay, so it started when I got rear ended by one of their drivers. I've been dealing with a team in El Paso (assuming based on the phone number, specifically Team 2). I dropped off my car to a body shop on monday the 4th. A supplement was submitted by the shop Tuesday the 5th. Today is monday the 11th. I've left them I think four messages as of writing this and the body shop has left them at least three about the status of a supplement to the repair (meaning it was more then the previous estimate done by their agents). The voice mail recording states that if the message was received by 4:30 pm, it will be answered that day. Well, it's been five days and counting now. If you can't answer the phone or call back to a voice mail, well, you have a problem. Just dropping off my car and the claims process was a pain in the neck. First off, the police report (and the fact that the guy who hit me was hit with a citation for following too close) clearly states I was not my fault. But they take forever to "investigate" the accident. Yeah, like you'll get anything better then a he said she said situation when you ask the drivers. Next, to get a rental, they have to confirm with the shop that I dropped off my car, but as stated, getting these people on the phone is a nightmare. I dropped off my car at 2:40 pm. It was approximately 6:30 by the time I finally got the keys for a rental. And no, Enterprise was not the hold up, the hold up was waiting for them to call me back so I could hand my cell phone to the shop employee and they could tell them I dropped off the car. If I do not receive a call back by Wednesday, November 13th to tell me the status of the supplement, I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB and moving on from there. I'm not an impatient man normally, but this is getting stupid. I would also like to point out that this evidently is not uncommon. The shop employee I dropped it off with heard "Fred Loya" and signed. He then told me once they had a BMW in for more then a month before a supplement was approved and they could finally finish the work. Ashley Deleon is the most unprofessional person I've had to work with. She is very nice when getting all the information needed but when it comes to everything after she's horrible. Does not communicate doesn't answer calls doesn't respond to voicemails so I emailed her, all I got was "if you have any questions please call me" so I replied back LMAO you never answer and just like that she blocked my number or something because every time I call now it goes straight to voicemail. Nobody ever knows what's going on every time I call I get asked about payment but my car is totaled wouldn't you think they'd make a note of that so they aren't still collecting money for a vehicle that's not operable? Nope and whenever I ask about my claim they tell me stuff I already know not the updates of what I really need. Horrendous insurance company would highly NOT RECOMMEND and it's very unfortunate because this is a Latino business. Buenos para pedir $$$ pero cuando es tiempo k te pagan a te they go blind. It took a month and some for a check to get sent out to my Lienholder nobody could tell me when it went out just that if it's not there yet it will be soon. But the packet they sent me I received in 3 days and that was sent on a weekend I got a text Saturday about the delivery yet it takes years for a check. I am highly disappointed with everything they handled. Only covered 5 days of a rental when my policy doesn't end until September 12th, like what. On may 24th 2019. My car was parked in front of my house when i got hit. I was not home at the time. It was a hit and run not my fault i was not even at home at the time.Once i got home i made a police report and called loya insurance to start the a claim. I was asked to take my car in the next day so they can take pictures. I did and i was told Because of the holiday it will take a little longer to process. I called the adjuster on may 28th and she told she had no updates for me it was still in process. She said she will call me with any updates. She never did.. I left many messages for her asking her to call me back. On june 1st I had a missed call but it wasn't from her it was a co-worker of hers . I called him back and left a message this was on a Saturday. I called back on monday and talked a supervisor. She told me that i has missed my appointment to take my car for the pictures. That was not true. I told her that i was there and had took the pictures. Then she told me that they lost my pictures. I said at what point was i going to be told this. She said that she would have to send some one out to take the pictures again and i was going to take a couple of days. And they did come to my house. He took pictures of the damage to the car my seats. My floor matts the oil on the dip stick even the sticker on my window from my last oil change. I told him that i was having trouble starting the car and there was a clicking noise coming from the the tires. Today is july 31st 2019 i was told that the fuel pump is damaged and my car will not start. A claim was submitted and was deined. They said it is not accident related. Not mind you i did not have problems with my car starting before the accident. I do have full coverage and Now i have to pay out of pocket along with a high deductible of. I am only give this company a star because I am not allowed to give them zero stars. I was hit by a Fred Loya client on 4-27-2018 and I have not received my check to fix my car yet and it's now 6-5-2018. Carolina Villalobos, the Claim Representative, refuses to send my check in a fashion that allows a tracking number even though by their account, they have tried sending me my check but it's just not reaching me. Well, how is it not reaching me when I have already received correspondence from Fred Loya and the letter came to my apartment right away. Carolina's boss, Victor Garcia, refuses to call me back. Victor Garcia's boss, Jose Guitierrez, refuses to call me back. The President of the Claims Department, Edgar Meza, refuses to call me back. I have now filed a complaint with BBB and the Texas Department of Insurance. read more

This is such a horrible insurance and customer service. The holder of this insurance policy hit my vehicle on Saturday at 8:30 6/11 five days later My car has not been picked up for assessment, and they are declining to give me a rental until the auto shops picks up my vehicle What the F!!! is that. Plus the auto shop is in Los Angeles, and they are picking up my vehicle in Long Beach, FRED LOYA is in TEXAS and they work Mountain eastern time, meaning that I will go on a sixth day without a rental. WTF. And I have to accommodate the insurance because they hadn't gotten that insurance holder's statement or taking liability for hitting me. What a disgrace of insurance and says they are for Latinos. Really make accommodations to assist all states equally and not just have Mountain Time so that I have to spend 8 hours trying to deal with this issue. Car rentals are open 24 hours, the rental can be set up so that I can pick up a rental after 6pm California time, but noooo because the auto shop does not have my vehicle in their possession, I cannot get a rental. REALLY never had this happened to me before. What a horrible insurance!!!! read more
