I have been with Doctor Naraghi almost 2 years! He's been heaven sent. I'm reading all of the lower star reviewers comments, and honestly, this Doctor is a ten star doctor of spine care. I don't believe the wait times are that bad. If they are, Doctor Naraghi, is worth the wait. I've seen some some really terrible doctors in the same building, and waited longer to see them, and they did absolutely nothing, and did NOT care either. Doctor Naraghi is a specialist in high demand, honest, caring. He's definitely on top of the spine surgery game. I'm very thankful as an athlete, gym goer, and gym rat for Doctor Naraghi. I've learned more in one visit at Doctor Naraghi's office, than any other spine care doctors office in 10-15 visits. Doctor Naraghi, is an effective communicator with a memory of an elephant. I guarantee visiting, and with Doctor Naraghi, you will definitely get better over time. I've had the one surgery, on my spine. I'm definitely doing better than I was. I have a really horrific situation, and Doctor Naraghi is sticking with me. Doctor Naraghi, was upfront, honest, candid and straightforward about my results of the MRI I had. Absolutely amazing spine Dr . I have had multiple visits with Dr. Naraghi and his staff . Top of the line equipment, Rockstar patient care and so detailed and patient oriented that you know you're valued and the number one priority . Everyone there is super nice , very thoughtful and knowledgeable. He is the very best at what he does and so is his entire team . Thank you Dr Naraghi a million times over . That's not even to mention how well the procedure actually works . I was suffering beyond anything I've ever been through . I literally rolled out of bed every day and crawled on the floor for over 30 minutes before I could stand , I couldn't stand or walk longer than 10 minutes before the pain and complete numbness took away my ability to use my legs . I literally thought I was going to end up in a wheelchair permanently. (This is not an exaggeration) I was terrified I would lose my job and ability to walk . Then I was referred to Dr Naraghi , he spared no expense and effort to identify and address my problems . We started with the simplest and non invasive procedures and started working our way up . Yes eventually I will need complete disclosure replacements in my last three vertebrae, but not yet , thanks to his expertise and amazing team . I go in every 4 months and get epidural injections on both sides of my spine (temporarily but wonderfully) these have all but eliminated my symptoms. I can work 12 hour days , walk unassisted all day , I can work out ( moderately) play with my kids and take walks with my wife . I've been a patient for over 2 years already with Dr. Naraghi for a L5-S1 disc injury. He's one of the nicest, most caring doctors I've ever had and I really feel that he's on my side. Not to mention that he is of course extremely professional and knowledgable in all related areas--diagnoses, available treatments and medications. The only negatives are: expect a long wait time to see the doctor once you arrive, even if you have an appointment, you could be waiting for an hour or more. Also, it may be hard to get an appointment in the near future so you need to book far in advanced. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Naraghi for several years. I've had many surgical procedures. He had great bedside manner. His office in the other hand has been chaos. Major turn over in staff which results in many errors with paper work and long consistant wait times. Zero empathy when trying to figure out what is going on. My injury occurred at work. I have a lawyer. During the initial intake his office was very attentive. Post surgery was a different story. I was told to go to pain management. Paper work was not submitted to my lawyer. Leaving me in terrible pain. I've made several calls to his office only to be ignored. I've been left to deal with tracking down paper work etc. My pain level is horrible post surgery. I've been given the brush off with no contact from the office. I would not suggest this office. Sadly an unpleasant experince. read more

He did my initial and final QME evaluation. I went to see him last May 31st for my final QME and I could honestly say that Dr. Naraghi is a doctor with INTEGRITY and COMPASSION. Dr. Naraghi is a sweet doctor who knows his stuff. Yes, they overbook, but there is a trick. Always get you appointment as early in the day as you can or as late in the day, so you don't miss too much work. He is conservative, which I love. I don't like cutters who just want to cut. Nope, Dr. Naraghi wants to try everything he can BEFORE recommending surgery. I have been with him for over 2 years and the only reason it has been this long is because the workers compensation insurance company is denying therapy. Even though Dr Naraghi is very professional, the clinic and the waiting is pretty bad. I went there twice, and both times I've waited there for an hour an a half, sitting down in a hot waiting room, which by the way makes my back worse. For some reason it's ok for them to charge $50 no show for same day cancellations, but they can waste your time at no cost. On top of that, they ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. read more

I had a very bad lower back injury that was work related and I was referred to see Dr. Naraghi for treatment. My lower back injury was extremely painful and most of the time I was immobile due to the severe pain. I couldn't stand for more than a few minutes at any given time. After many treatments with Dr. Naraghi he recommended that the lower disc be replaced. I knew that the procedure was needed and I always knew that I was in the best of hands with Dr. Naraghi. He went through the steps with me what was going to be done and I had the surgery. The procedure went extremely well as I knew it would. Dr. Naraghi is an exceptional doctor performing true miracles. Dr. Naraghi seemed like a good doctor when I initially met with him, but his office is a nightmare--so much so that he's not worth the effort. I've seen him in the past and looked forward to the next appointment. I called several times to book the next appointment and left messages (because only rarely does anyone even answer the phone). Most phone calls just go directly to voice mail with no return call. I finally was able to book a follow-up appointment, for which I cut my vacation short and flew into San Francisco. On my way to the appointment I hit a bit of traffic, so I called to let them know I'd be five minutes late. The receptionist said "but the doctor isn't in today." I said 'What do you mean? This is definitely the right day and time. Am I not on the schedule?" She said (again), "The doctor isn't in." I said "That's not what I asked. Do you mean I'm not on the schedule?". She said "Your appointment was cancelled. No one called you?". Not sure if he simply blew off the appointment and the receptionist tried to cover for him, or she just didn't call me to cancel. That's how it goes at Dr. Naraghi's office. If a doctor allows this kind of lameness from his office staff then I'd rather not have him operating on my spine. read more

I can not say enough about the care, concern and follow up I have received with Dr. Naraghi and his staff. I was nervous, but any time someone is "playing" in my spine makes me nervous. This was a removal of wires and battery with an installation of a different type. The surgery was twice as long but that was because he was taking the time to do it right and to keep me walking. All you need (or don't need) is a whoops, you are no longer walking. He also had me stay in the hospital longer than planned but that was because he did what was best for me, the patient, and not what the hospital wanted to do. Send me home before I was ready. I was at St. Francis Hospital in San Fran. And again the best of care. His staff have been so wonderful to deal with also. They call me to keep me updated on what's going on. (appointments, making sure I'm doing okay, "checking in", and I know I can call them and they WILL get back to me. I'm not just some number or diagnosis but I'm who I am, a person. They know ME by my name and how refreshing that is. Dr Naraghi has a rare talent for a doctor. He really listens and really hears. Answers all questions and he make sure you understand what he is doing. If I ever need more surgery, I will have him as my doctor. You can NOT go wrong with him on your team! I came to Dr Naraghi after a work-related spine injury, and after my initial workers comp Doctor couldn't do anything more for my worsening back, leg and nerve pain. (For many weeks, I couldn't stand upright and was bedridden) The idea was that I was a prime candidate for an L3L4 discectomy, even though I was terrified of back surgery. When I explained this fear to Dr Naraghi, he insisted we would try everything else first, and expertly guided me through alternative treatments to surgery. I saw 2 chiropractors, 4 physical therapists, another orthopedic surgeon, had an epidural injection, and finally had acupuncture. Through all of these ups and downs, Dr Naraghi answered all my questions with patience and insight. He listened to me and explained all of my treatments as they were underway, and guided me through the healing process, always ready to adjust my plan as my condition fluctuated. He guided me through my return to work and as I gradually reclaim my life. If you've ever had to deal with workers comp you'll appreciate how efficiently his office gets approvals for what Dr Naraghi and I thought was needed. They took care of all the paperwork and explained everything to me as necessary. They worked directly with my job site, making sure all the paperwork was in order. After receiving less than satisfactory post-follow up care from a Neurosurgeon in San Jose for a cervical fracture. Dr. Naraghi takes his time to go over your diagnosis and makes sure to address any issues or concerns I may have. Dr. Naraghi makes himself available to his patients and never leaves you hanging. I had severe myelopathy after consulting with several surgeons all of them wanted to fuse my neck and screw in metal plates to secure my neck from ever moving again this meant I would lose all range of motion and subsequently my job since it is required for me to be mobile.I was extremely depressed unil a friend referred me to Dr. Naraghi. After careful consideration he agreed to do a two level cervical disc replacement which at the time was not common at all with this new device.He too was skeptical about doing this but understood that I was still young and how devastating it would be to lose my range of motion for the rest of my life.to make a long story short he did very difficult task of installing these artificial discs on two levels.and now four years later going on five years I have had no issues I cannot even tell I have had any surgery except for a slight scar on my neck I still continue to have great range of motion . I must say I owe Dr. Naraghi so much for understanding my concerns and having the skill and ability to do something that most surgeons were very reluctant to do. He is highly skilled and compassionate to each situation. I would never recommend anybody but Dr. Naraghi as he can attest I have referred several people his way. I have seen Dr. Naraghi regarding my neck pain 3-4 times. He is very polite and respectful and really takes time to explain the cause and solution. I have seen three other doctors before this and they were all very vague and did not take time to explain the cause and remedy. I went to see Dr. Naraghi on the recommendation of a friend after seeing my surgeon. The first surgeon I saw wanted to do a major procedure and after speaking to Dr. Naraghi we agreed that it was to invasive and developed a different plan. Unfortunately my insurance wouldn't cover it. But after seeing the AME and being deemed a work related injury, Dr. Naraghi was able to perform the procedure. He made me feel at ease unlike the surgeons at Kaiser and treated me with the utmost respect and compassion. I am so lucky to have found him and I could not put into words how much he has helped me both surgically and emotionally. He helped decide the best approach and helped reassured me continuously. After hearing from my previous doctor that my pain was a chronic condition and nothing else could be done, I decided to look for a second opinion. Dr. Naraghi was recommended to me by a very good doctor whom I trust. Dr. Naraghi was very through in his diagnosis, requested the necessary exams and was able to figure out what was really causing my pain. After evaluating the possible alternatives and making sure that all the more conservative treatments were tried first, he recommended a spinal fusion. I was very worried about having this surgery, but Dr Naraghi was great at explaining the procedure in details and answering all my questions. I trusted him and decided to undergo the spinal fusion. It was a major surgery, I had two days of surgery and was in the hospital for a week. Dr Naraghi and his team took very good care of me, he was very present during the entire process always making sure I had the best possible care. I believe Dr. Naraghi is one of the best doctors I ever met. Dr. Naraghi is very knowledgeable, talented and technically capable, but at the same time he is not cold, proud or arrogant like so many doctors out there.
