The wash was great as expected and the free towels, vacuum, and air compressor was awesome as usual. Plenty of bays so you rarely have to wait for anyone. This place always has great customer service and today was a clear example of it. They really care about their customers and it shows and they have my loyalty. I took my truck that hasn't had a good wash for a long time since it barely gets driven. It looks so much better now. However, the keys got locked in the truck. I spoke with a nice young man who told his manager, Ignacio. He graciously unlocked the truck with a lock-out kit and would not let me tip him. I really appreciated his assistance. I went in this morning for my usual great wash. While driving to work on RT 70, a can of paint flew off the back of a truck carrying trash. Of course it went all over the front and sides of my freshly washed truck. On my way back a few hours later, I went back to the Auto Spa on Rt 85. There were 2 employees there that put my truck thru the wash twice and then spent there time helping me scrub the paint off the truck! They were WONDERFUL and would not quit til it was gone!! Then they ran the truck through the wash again, I have to say this is the most amazing customer service I have ever experienced. When I tried to tip them, they would not accept the cash, so they deserve an awesome review that is seen by their Supervisors and Auto Spa Management. Was in the Frederick area and wanted a quick in and out wash. I wanted to get the inside cleaned as well, but this location doesn't offer that service. However, they do have free vacuums available for customer use after going through the carwash. They offer both one time and membership options. Their line was long, but they moved quickly. Staff there were helpful and nice. I think I paid $20 for their top option. Its in a good location and easily accessible. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for a quick exterior car wash. read more

Impressed by the Auto Spa at this location! I'm giving it a solid 5 stars for the customer service and overall experience. When I pulled up at the window, Kiana had the biggest smile on her face and had a positive personality all around. She was very informative and politely answered all of my questions. Auto Spa Express just opened recently and the amenities were awesome. I like being in control when it comes to cleaning my car so the self-service section was convenient. It had the long vacuums, clean towels, tire cleaner, and a floor mat cleaning machine! They even had Sirius XM playing to keep you entertained while cleaning your car! My son parks his car under a tree, birds use the bathroom in trees resulting in bird feces on vehicles, hence the need and use of this car wash on 06/16/2024. Prior to entering the carwash you can see bird feces on the vehicle, (see photo). After leaving the carwash, the bird feces was gone and so was the paint on the car, (see photo). Herb Wilson, the manager of this location, is stating that there was prior damage/chipping to the car, (there is no prior damage seen in the photo of the vehicle taken a week prior), and Honda has a known issue with white paint, admitting he has sent 3 vehicles to Honda after having the same issue at his facilities. I called Honda and this vehicle does NOT have a paint recall, (verified by VIN). You can clearly see the frame color is a cream/silver, NOT dark brown/black like the prior photo shows. I contacted the district manager, (Megan Monroe), with no response from her. Instead, I received a response from Joshua Cooper, (Customer Relations Manager), his email, "Here's a reiteration" of Herb Wilson's email. They refuse to take reasonability and continue to try to pawn this off on Honda even though they admitted to myself and my son that this is a common occurrence and that they're "blowers are sometimes set too high". I have filed a police report and responded to Joshua's email CC Megan and again, no response. PSA, this is not the first incident at this specific location, I have had 2 instances of damage, one removing my vinyl decal off of the rear window and the other bending my rear license plate in half. My son has had parts of the car ripped off and the manager just says "it's only two clips holding it on, it happens all the time". AVOID THIS LOCATION! read more

My county is still on a lock down. I had to drive to Frederick to get my car washed. I like this chain because they don't disappoint. Friendly faces and good customer service! I don't have to worry about my wheels being jacked up. You pull your car through. No ramps!! Its all self service. They don't clean your car, but they have free vacs you can use. A major plus is that they have mat cleaners!! Its slow but it gets it done 1 or two times. Their mini vacs, the ones you use for the middle consoles is powerful! A lot of car washes don't have this. My car was clean. I paid $17 the ultimate package. My car was squeaky clean but my tires look like crap. My car is fairly new and my tire looked like its been through a sandstorm. They provide cloths and hand sanitizer in the.vacuum bays... overall its a decent place. I hope the can address the tire issues cuz a lot of peoples tires looked like crqp. read more

Car came out of the $14 wash not completely clean, with streaks everywhere, water spots in the windows and windshield, and a broken trailer hitch cover. They have vacuums but you better expect to clean your own car on the inside and towel dry. Manager was bubbly and friendly but basically said too bad. Such an expensive wash for the equivalent of what you get for $5 at the gas station. I would (and will) never go back. read more

went to auto spa last week truck paint was damaged had to turn expensive damage into insurance. when I went to body shop I was given information stating 3 other vehicles were damaged that day/week. all were high dollar damage. When attention was brought to staff from other driver was told there not responsible for damage and ie sign when you drive in I am guessing. Should have read the fine print which I didn't to be fair. Ive Been told since young always go to touch free car wash guess I should have listened. Insurance will deal with this. Beware hopefully no one else has to deal with this zero star rating. read more

In and Out at one of the fastest and coolest car washes in the Frederick area. I CAN'T WAIT for the new one to open closer to me on Monocacy. It's always a breeze rolling up to the register window, picking my car wash type, and driving right into the wash. There normally isn't a long wait to get into the wash; the wait is usually for the vacuum spaces. Even if there is a wait, it's no more than like 5 minutes. They offer rags, vacuums, condensed air, and a car mat washing station, all complimentary with the wash. The wash prices are good and they offer monthly memberships that are the price of two washes of that level. They also have options for multi-car memberships. read more

I bought a new expensive SUV nine months ago. My dealership gave me a free birthday wash at this business. After the car wash I noticed several lines of light scratches all the way down the passenger side of my SUV. These were not there prior to this wash. I contacted this business, submitted paperwork and showed them the scratches. The next day I was contacted and told they investigated their video and there was no indication they are at fault. Yet there is NO reasonable explanation why these scratches would be on my car due to the pattern of scratches and that I keep my vehicle mainly parked at home (with no shrubbery or trees nearby to scratch it). They are accepting ZERO responsibility. I spoke with Aaron each time - one of the managers. I am at my wits end but after reading these reviews I see that this too is a pattern - just like the pattern of the scratches. I was there on Monday, August 26th (late morning). If anyone else encounters this please reach out and this can easily be handled by alternative methods - legally. Additionally my dealership will be notified this in the event they want to terminate whatever business arrangement they have as I find it quite unlikely they would want their new vehicles damaged and precious customers disappointed. read more

Now I can get my car nice and shiny without spending an hour per week by hand washing it myself! This new Auto Spa has many amenities such as vacuums, cleaning towels, on-site staff, and of course, music! I was relatively skeptical the first time that I brought my car in since I had never tried this line of Auto Spas and had a lot of bugs on the front bumper and not washed it in weeks...or probably even months. I purchased the second tier up, the $11 wash which includes the basic wheel cleaning, underbody flush, and UV protectant. I was happy with the results, of course with the understanding that this type of car wash does not scrub the bugs off of the car, that's something that usually needs to be done by hand. I was honestly impressed with all of the dirt and bugs that were removed on the first go through. The car wash machinery is nice in that the conveyer belt will not scrape up your tires and has a "bump" type system to keep your car from rolling, rather than the metal side walls. I have been back several times now and each time I am impressed with the wash. With the monthly membership, your car will get cleaner over time of course too. All of the staff are very friendly, polite, and helpful. Happy to have this place. It might be interesting to see how the wear and tear of the machinery goes after about a year of use. Hopefully they will keep up with everything as they have been so far. read more

Disappointed... Scratched my brand new 2023 Kia Sportage not once but twice!!! Didn't expect this to happen at auto spa.

Recently opened- stopped in yesterday and they have fantastic deals for monthly memberships. Highest tier wash is $34.95? Without membership, and $17 per month for unlimited with (for now). Cashier was super friendly and patient in explaining their currently promos to me. This place is semi out of the way for me (live in VA, but often visit family in western MD), but the deals and service are worth it. Will, the manager also provided excellent service as my tires were looking janky af/the whole reason I stopped by. The car was is super fast (yesssss). There are vacuum stations with those tiny hoses for blasting hard to reach areas, and a mat cleaning machine. read more

This is a nice new facility.The fact that they offer free vacuum cleaning is nice however, the wash itself it pretty weak and leaves a lot to be desired. I had some bird droppings all over my car after a week out of town. I figured that I'd try this new express station and was disappointed by the performance. It would appear that this is ideal for someone who's car is not that dirty to begin with- e.g. not a lot of hardened bug guts on the front end, hardened bird poo, and/or mud. My car has just over 8,000 miles on it and the alloy wheels still shine like new when cleaned appropriately. After a visit to the Auto Spa Express there were bird droppings still all over my hood and roof, some on the drivers side window, and the wheels where clean in some places and not in the others. Again.. If your car is relatively clean to begin with this is probably a fine option that will most likely keep you happy, but if your vehicle is pretty dirty expect this express station to simply make that dirt, poo, and bug guts shiny.., but not remove it. read more

I recently moved to the Frederick area and found this car wash that I really enjoyed! I love the access to vacuums and towels directly after going through the wash. The employees are also really friendly. However, once the new location opened on Monocacy Blvd I started going there since it was closer to home. While going to the new location I started seeing scratches on the side of my vehicle. These scratches I did not see while going to the Rt. 85 location. I have since started going back to the Rt. 85 location and so far so good. I am still keeping a close eye on any new scratches. I would give 5 stars but after noticing the scratches from the other location I am hesitant. I will update my review accordingly. read more

This is a really powerful carwash. Worth the monthly membership. But I would like to make 2 suggestions. Remove your radio antenna from your vehicle before entering the wash. My antenna was bent after going through the first time (so was another family members). And pull your side mirrors in! After using the wash weekly for about 4 months my drivers side mirror was ripped off of my truck by one of the spinning brushes. The Auto Spa sent me to their Auto Repair shop and a couple days later(they had to order the mirror) they replaced my mirror completely free of charge while I waited. Mike and DJ from The Auto Repair were professional and understanding. So were the staff from The Auto Spa on route 85 in Frederick (I didn't get their names). I paid $36 for a plantium car wash & only got my car washed from the outside. They didn't even touch the inside. It is wonderful to have this business on Buckeystown Pike in Frederick. The wash is fantastic. I live the car mat washer and the air compression. The last two times I went either the vacuum didn't function properly or the air compression didn't work at all. A bit disappointing after having to wait for an opening for a self service spot. A lot of men use the self serve area to completely clean every inch of their vehicle in and out as you see this sometimes circling around the place trying to get a self serve spot after your wash. There should be a 15 minute time limit. But overall, I like this place and the staff is kind to the customers. read more

I took my car there this morning and I have a new car wash. It is out of the way a touch, but it's worth it. The staff was friendly and upbeat and I even got the membership. I like this location more than the one closest to me. I only wish they did detailing that would be my only issue. But overall I remember the color my car is supposed to be and the vacuums were plentiful. I have no real complaints! It's honestly a great place! I went here for my first time today with my Mom in my Dad's truck (He Passed Away) And the Truck looks brand new! I love it! I definitely wanna come here again! We also have a membership: We can get the car washed everyday for every month (As Long As We Keep The Membership Up) It's awesome!! I love this, definitely coming back with my mom next time the Truck needs a good clean! Oh, you can also clean your rugs!! This review only applies to their vacuums. They have very minimal suction. They will pick up the big, lightweight pieces, but absolutely do not get anything else, so your carpets in your car will still be very dirty looking. Also the size of the "wand" is way too big to be any good for getting into any corner or crevice. Must have been designed and tested by someone who never vacuumed their own car out once in their lives. read more

I had to go through all of the trouble of resetting my password just so that I could review this place. I was disappointed after going here because they try to upsell you so hard it's ridiculous. Two women spent a good 5 to 7 minutes trying to convince me to buy more than the basic wash for eight dollars. And not only did they not want me to go up to the 11 or $14 wash they wanted me to go straight to the $17 wash. One of the women actually told me that the eight dollar wash is like getting a toothbrush from the dollar store and that's a direct quote. And I'm like why are you selling dollar store car washes then? I seriously told them a good eight or nine times that I don't want they are upselling and only want the $8 wash. I said I've never been here let me get a basic wash and see how good it washes my car if I like it I'll come back and maybe get an upgraded wash. But that wasn't good enough the lady kept telling me that the dollar wash was a low-quality wash and I NEED protectant. Like my car will die without protectant. How do you even know I have $9 more dollars to spend on a carwash? Maybe I want to buy a burger its my money and you cant tell me how to spend it. Well guess what my car was cleaned to my satisfaction after the $8 wash. I won't go back just because I don't want to be harassed and told what to buy and also my brakes were rigid and making a bad sound after the wash. It went away but I don't know what kind of equipment they're using that would do that to my brakes. The only good thing other than a decent basic waah is the free vacuums. Back in April I pulled up to have my car washed. A young man employed by the Auto Spa was walking up to the cars in line, telling drivers of a $17 a month multiple car wash special they were offering that day if you signed up for the year. He was clear that it would cost $17 a month. Fast forward . Having never received any paperwork to confirm the membership I noticed that I am being billed $34.99 a month. When I call the Auto Spa I spoke with the manager who said there had been multiple people who had complained about the same problem and I certainly was not the only one. It was a fault of one of their staff members. He told me I had to call their parent Company who would correct it. I did so, and despite saying I would cotinue if it was $17 a month, they only credited 1 month. I appreciate it was their mistake, however, would never have signed up at the higher price. Their mistake should not require me to have to leave negative review. I certainly would not recommend them nor will I go there again. read more

I had a very embarrassing moment at this location. About a mile out from the car wash I closed my sun roof. I order my wash and as I begin to enter the wash, someone informs me the back of my sunroof is still open, I tried frantically to get it closed but it would shut. The employees quickly shut off the wash leaving me feeling so embarrassed as it has held up everyone in front and behind me. Both employees present remained calm, and one even sat in the car to try and work on the sunroof. They ultimately determined it would be best for me to back out of the wash and exit. They backed every up quickly allowing enough space for me to leave. The one employee even offered me a refund which I quickly declined as I just wanted to get out of there. Thank you so much to the employees of this Auto Spa as they were incredibly nice and professional, and apologies to any customers there at the time of my mishap...hands down the most embarrassing experience for me. read more
