I have been going here for about two years. The medical team is OK and haven't had any problems. However, today (7/16/25) I had an appointment at 10:30. When I arrived the receptionist said my appointment was not until 7/25/25. She sounded like I had made a mistake. I had my appointment card that they gave me on my previous visit which stated 7/16/25 as my appointment date. I showed it to the receptionist and she just shrugged her shoulders. Never received an "I'm sorry" or showed any compassion or concern that I drove 45 minutes to get there. I felt I was being disrespected and she was very rude to me. read more

I was a new cancer patient. Everyone in the waiting room had been given the wrong time for their appointment -- a half hour early. I was shown to an exam room after a 90 minute wait, I was then kept waiting another hour in an exam room without ever seeing a human being. I walked out of the office. No one noticed. But get this -- the doctor called my home ten minutes before I walked out of his exam room to say he was so sorry it took so long to return my call! What call? I guess he didn't know I was in his waiting room next door. In his message the doctor said he would call me over the weekend to discuss my cancer... he never called. read more

I had to have a series of 8 appointments here while pregnant. I never waited for less than 1 hour for any of my "appointments" (are they even appointments at that point??). The doctor I saw here, Dr Asif, seems knowledgeable and the treatments were helpful. The nursing staff was friendly and they did a great job with the IVs (mostly painless). My reasoning for giving 2 stars instead of 1. However, I'm not sure how they cannot manage to schedule appointments in a more efficient manner so that patients are not waiting for hours to be seen/receive treatments, especially for those of us who are taking time off of work for their appointments. read more

Horrible new patient visit. I've been in the medical and dental industry for 20+ years as an administrator and this is the worst administrative staff I've ever encountered. I arrived on time for my 9:00 am appointment and stood at the counter waiting to be addressed while the two staff members carried on a personal conversation and not acknowledging me. I finally said good morning and asked if there was somewhere to sign in and I was told on the clipboard which wasn't even present. The staff member finally handed me the clipboard, I signed in and had a seat. Two other patients arrived after me, (they happened to be new patients as well) and were checked in while I sat waiting to be addressed. Finally at 9:16 am, I was called up and started the check in process. She asked me if I had the new patient forms they mailed to me. I told her no one mentioned sending them to me and I never received anything. I told her I went to the website on my own and gave her all of the new patient forms. Rather than check to see what I completed, she tried to give me forms I had already done. I took a seat and waited another 15 minutes to be taken back. At 9:31 am, the assistant came to get me and when I asked how long she thought we may be (because I had another appointment elsewhere) she got an attitude and said, "I have a lot to do so maybe you should just reschedule." At this point every staff member was rude so I agreed and we walked back to the front. When the assistant told the front staff that I wanted to reschedule, all 5 front desk staff looked at me and spoke amongst themselves why I was rescheduling. I spoke up so they could all hear me and said, "My appointment was at 9:00 am and had I been told you were running a half hour behind, I would have never checked in." I was asked to wait for another staff member to come back to her desk to reschedule me. Once she finally came back she told me that she could not reschedule me because she does not reschedule new patients. She then turned around and asked another staff member if she was allowed to reschedule me since I was a new patient and she was told yes. She then proceeds to tell me that they don't have any available appointments until February. I told her that I just wanted my paperwork back and I would be going elsewhere. It was only at that point that one of the staff members (who had witnessed everything and done nothing) said she was the front desk supervisor and asked if I could wait a few minutes for her to try and work something out so I could be seen. That just frustrated me even more and I told her no I had another appointment I needed to get to and I just wanted to take my things and go. She then asked me if she could call me later so we could discuss the encounter I had. Needless to say, she never called. read more

I'm cured. Unfortunately treating cancer is a growth industry. The clinic is running at or near capacity and apparently are understaffed on the support side of the business. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses. read more

Since July 2017 I have been and still am a patient of FOHA (now Maryland Oncology Hematology), and have received eleven infusions to date. I'm more than pleased the exceptional care I've received. It is a very smooth running operation, and Dr. Hegazi is simply top-notch! He takes the time to explain treatments in easy to understand language, is personable, and shows a genuine concern for me as a patient. I've found all the staff to be friendly, cheerful, and caring--and they work hard! All are professionals. I am always greeted with a smile when checking in--and the wait times are not long (15-30 min.) considering the number of patients receiving treatment. The staff makes sure I'm comfortable during infusion (sometimes takes 3 or more hours), and quickly respond to any questions or concerns I may have. Appointments are easily made, and scheduling is flexible. I highly rate FOHA! read more

Singularly the worst managed Medical Practice with which I have ever done business, bar none. I had multiple tests performed for which the practice claimed to have completed preauthorization with my insurer -- ALL of which were subsequently denied -- one requiring extended fasting which was cancelled as I was leaving for the lab. Communications are completely unprofessional - no returned phone calls. Billing practices non-standard - my insurer has a one co pay per diagnosis standard - these guys billed for every visit. After being very unhappy with the quality of care, I cancelled a follow up visit. Just received a friendly reminder email for that visit which I cancelled in person 3 months ago. The reminder -- which stated I could not cancel the appointment within 24 hours and would be billed if I no-showed was sent out 24 hours and ten minutes before the appointment. My subjective impression is that this practice is simply concerned with their income, and not with the patient. You have choices - going anywhere else would be a good choice. read more

First: very unprofessional, unfriendly staff members. Second, no eye to eye contact with patients. Third, gum, gosh eating with over mouth at the front desk. Fourth, rude. Fifth, graffiti on the walls (copay, balance, tables with signs of selling a book). FRONT STAFF, working as a robot, not even looking to patients coming in, not smile, not welcome, not nothing. I had an appointment schedule for 2 p.m. I got there 1:50 p.m. (with my kid) the lady at the front desk, again not eye to eye contact, I gave her my forms, and I sat down. 2:30 p.m. the nurse called me took me to the room for vitals, and she told me, no kids allow!!!. I told her why I was not informed at the time I check-in (of course not eye to eye contact) the lady did not even look at me that she did not realized that my kid was next to me. I walked away from the room I told her, it is unacceptable. I went back to the lady who check me in to request my refund of copay. she called another coworker (who was just next to her) making the most nasty noise with her gum, and she asked me reason? I was well you guys did not tell me kids are not allow in your practice, and she was "honey, it is a sign next to you" I looked and nothing, I was "why you come here, and show me where, because I see signs only for copays, balance, and publicity of selling a book", it was not an apology at all. It was going to be my first time patient, but definitely, you do not want to deal with an office visit, with such an unprofessional, and cold staff members. read more

I was a patient with Maryland Oncology Hematology for only a short period of time. I had no problem with the doctor I saw. I felt he was highly qualified and competent, and was generally concerned with providing the best care possible. I did have a serious problem with the office management and the administrative staff. The office has the worst patient appointment and scheduling operations that I have ever encountered in more than 50 years of interactions with dozens of medical practices of all types. Calls for an appointment are never answered by a real person. When you leave a name and number in response to the recorded message, days go by before you receive a return call, if ever. When the office was recently closed due to a snow storm, it took more than 3 days for the office to contact me to reschedule my appointment, despite 2 calls and recorded messages left by me in an attempt to reschedule. Dealing with inept office management, and the resulting delays in my receiving the medical care I needed, finally became too frustrating, and I decided to find another more responsive medical practice to handle my care. read more

I just relocated to MD from VA. I'm a breast cancer survivor. I have made several attempts to get an appointment. I managed to get an appointment. When I first arrived the receptionist couldn't find my appointment. Apparently, the new patient coordinator forgot to put me in the system. Went through all the new patient procedures. Talking to accounting and etc. Was there for nearly three hours. The place was packed but I always allow 3 to 4 hours for visits to my Oncology. Nearing the third hour I went to the receptionist and she said oh you've been here this long. The lab technicians just went to lunch. I had to leave. Call to reschedule and still have haven't been successful. Surviving breast cancer is hard enough but having a facility that specialize in your ailment to treat a person like this is very cruel. Looking for another Oncologist. read more

This office does not return your phone calls so you can make appointments. Very unprofessional. I watched the receptionists ignore the phone when it was ringing when I showed up. I had to show up in person to make an appointment. They did not give me a call or email to let me know when my lab results are in, and they did not call my primary care dr. about my test results. The burden of communicating my lab results was left completely to me, and the only way to get my lab results were to sign into the patient portal, which does not allow me to log in consistently. Very frustrating and a waste of time. They also kept me waiting for 45 minutes just to see the specialist. It made me late for work. Would not recommend this practice to anyone! read more
