The front office has it together! I was seen on time and all needed paperwork completed timely and submitted to insurance expeditiously. Lab work done in 24 hours with a personal phone call back with results- wow! Dr. Shanes is the man! A great physician and spends time and is engaged with explanations that make sense and are pragmatic in getting me healthier! Primary Care Dr. Shane's is my new primary care physician, went there for the first time and I was amazed. I'm 55 years old and after many years of recent doctors visits and hospital visits this was my best experience ever. Very friendly staff, professional, quick, no wait time, just an amazing experience. Dr. Shane is very professional, straight to the point and the entire office is like a well oiled machine. No wait time whatsoever, I was impressed. Recently I needed some documents signed, few phone calls and a message through the portal and it was done. I could not be more happy. I have been to urgent care places in Frederick that were so on ball of taking care of what was needed when we went there. I was so happy we were getting one closer to us in Brunswick Maryland. So sad to say this urgent care is so below in comparison. First time there my husband was having numbness in his arm and hand. He tried to explain it wasn't his shoulder causing this but his neck. They didn't listen and only took X-Rays of his shoulder and told him his rotorculf was the issue. It was his spine had crushed disc that was causing his numbness in his arm and hand. Luckily MMI was able to get him for urgent surgery otherwise he would've lost his arm. Not only that but we waited over an hour to be seen. read more

I was feeling wiped out by a cold like bug I picked up while traveling and this urgent care was much closer than my usual providers. After reading the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. It took me less than 10 mins to check in, including filing out new patient forms. The forms were much more straight forward than some places, no irrelevant 20 pages of family history etc. The front desk staff were very friendly. Clean waiting room and two other patients waiting. I waited for less than 10 mins after submitting my paperwork before being called back. The medical assistant was very friendly, asked good questions and made polite small talk. A few minutes after my vitals were taken the provider "Kent" came in. LOVE this guy! Great bedside manner, solid questions without a lot of unnecessary questions. Thorough exam including lymph nodes in my neck (don't want to make it weird - but he was incredibly gentle with his exam of my neck). He listened, gave me an appropriate amount of grief over my smoking without the 10 minute lecture, and really listened. A lot of providers listen while waiting to ask their next question- this man listened carefully and patiently. In the end, he explained the care plan and did something I really appreciate as a person. He asked me if I had anything else to say or if I had any questions, then genuinely paused to see if I thought of anything. I will definitely be going here as my first stop for ALL urgent care needs. I felt extremely confident in their care plan and that they genuinely were interested in my wellness as a person. That's rare. Plus, my BCBS Fed insurance was a standard copay for them, not the higher urgent care copay. I would come here for primary care if I could- close, convenient, and amazing care. read more
