My husband and I came by this morning to pick up something from someone who was attending. The traffic directors (volunteers I assume) were "helping" the flow of traffic by yelling orders at drivers. As we were trying to turn around to get out of the parking lot, a traffic director threw his arms up at us and yelled at us for disrupting the flow of the bus route (there were no buses around). We apologized and said that we were just trying to get out of the parking lot when he just scoffed and did not help with directions. A friendly interaction could have left a positive impression on someone, possible even planting a seed in someone's mind about what it is to be a Christian. You never know who you may run into on a Sunday morning who may be feeling lost and needs that extra affirmation. Let's all be kind to each other! read more

FALSE TEACHER TEACHING FALSE DOCTRINE! Do research on Jentezen Franklin before you let him influence your Biblical learning. I sat in one service and heard false doctrine come out of Jentezen Franklin's mouth. I sat through the entire service thinking, "that's not right, he said that wrong." After the service was over I got in the long line to talk to him and ask him about it thinking maybe I just misunderstood him. When I finally got to him and said that I think I misunderstood him and asked if he would help me understand he backed away from me, turned and walked up to the person behind me and didn't acknowledge me again. I took that to mean I was wrong to ask questions instead of just blindly accepting everything he said. When I got home and started researching him and his church I discovered that he is well known for his false teachings. Do not trust the teachings of Jentezen Franklin. read more

I love the music here! It feels like a concert before service. Really helps to lift you up and gets you pumped to hear the word. It's a beautiful place! Theater style seats. Handicap accessible. Staff is very friendly. Lot dog activities, events and programs to get you involved once you become a member. People warned me that it was a "money church" but after going there for 2 months I've made my own judgement and they were wrong about it. Jentzen Franklin delivers very powerful messages that are clear to understand and straight to the point. read more

Free Chapel , is a fantastic Church where you can come as you are. I have been going for about 4 years now and love everything about it, I'm full time volunteering with the special needs area each Sunday. God has called me to be a special needs Pastor!! I also help with an event called i9 sports it's an event for children with disability's that free chapel helps with. I was raised in church my whole life. I went to bible school and came out that week "saved" but I never REALLY knew God. I attended a service Free Chapel and for the first time in my life I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. I was moved to tears and felt unworthiness to be in His presence. His presence was all over that building! I'm not a crazy over spiritual person but my goodness, this was the best feeling I have EVER had in my life! If you haven't felt that then there is no way you can consider yourself saved in my opinion. read more

Most Unfriendly Church EVER! I went to this church a few months after moving from out of state and couldn't take it anymore because it is seriously the most cliqueish and unfriendly church I've ever been too. Nobody there speaks to you or says hi. The pastor is not friendly either -- I've never seen him mix with the people in the congregation at all. There are certain racial groups at Gainesville location who seem to stick with their own groups honestly. The pastor has political views I don't agree with at all related to accepting illegal immigration honestly, probably because some of his congregation is, I don't know. The sermons are good but somewhat legalistic honestly. I went to Influencers church Sunday and could not believe how friendly they were - it was like night and day. I will definitely NOT be going back to Free Chapel - I had enough and I was becoming totally miserable and hated going there at all. It is impossible to break into any small groups. They have all these phone numbers and emails but none of them called me back except one. Very cliquey and just plain weird. Also hated how they had secular Christmas music and photos with Santa Claus around Christmas - the church is about Jesus not Santa Claus and Jingle Bells. It totally turned my stomach. I gave several thousand dollars to this church while I went there, which honestly now makes me feel sick. I do not recommend this church at all unless you are a cliquey stuck up person who doesn't want any interaction with anybody. Most people there seem to be into their own families and that's it. Well I'm alone so I need a little more interaction. It's impossible to make friends there. Only go here if you are a total masochist. I seriously hated it. read more

Pastor Jentezen Franklin is greatly anointed and teaches the unadulterated gospel of the Bible with love. I have grown exponentially in my Christian walk from his teachings. I absolutely love this church. My family actually moved from two hours away for this church. When I was about 14 years old this churches camp alive changed me from a depressed suicidal and anxious kid on pills from psychiatrist to numb the pain to a happy Jesus loving person. This church has changed my life and so many others I can't recommend it enough. In any big church it can be hard to connect but if you get into small groups and really make an effort this church will become family to you. My family personally knows Jentezen and absolutely love his family and his love and passion for God and his people. He may not get to talk to every person in the church each week but he does pray for everyone in it and at the end of service stays after to talk to as many people that he can even if he has a flight to catch to go pastor in California that same day. If you can't go in person it's also streamed on the free chapel website and on their YouTube channel and although it's not the same you still get to hear amazing messages. I read another review and saw they said stuff about him being too political but Jentezen really tries to stay out of politics most of the time and when he does talk about it he says I'm not try to make you vote any way you do what God leads you to do and pray about it. All the politics he have ever brought up have been backed by scripture he hasn't ever just stated a random opinion. I may not 100% agree with everything he believes about certain things but I cannot say that he hasn't backed what he said with scripture and I understand that maybe what I believe about some things go against scripture but everyone has to work out their own salvation as Jentezen would say. The worship here is like no other abs the messages are straight from God there is no denying that. I've never found a church that has changed my life the way free chapel has and for that I am forever grateful. read more

My family has been attending for just over 3 years. The presence of The Lord is very evident. Worship and preaching is very contemporary.

As you walk in the door you get the sense you are in a holy place. The Senior Pastor is a blessed man with a kind sensitive heart, and God uses him in an amazing way. The worship is modern but has not lost its rich gospel roots. The very first time I attended and saw how on fire everyone in the congregation was for God. I praised the Lord of Hosts. I am not connected in any way to the church I've never been to Gainesville, Ga. Just 6mos ago I never new there was a Church called Free Chapel. I was riding in a truck on my way to a construction job a female in my 40 ready to give up the hammer and nail type jobs. I saw a book called Fasting on the dash board, I ask if i could read it He said," sure". I read a few chapters and was hooked. I bought the book for myself and have read it three times already a great, great easy to read book. I needed it, the time was right for me to get this message about fasting I never understood it until now for the first time I will be fasting with Free Chapel ministry. I moved to Georgia about ten years ago and was looking for a church home. I found a church in Atlanta and thought that was it and something was still missing. I love to listen to Pastor Franklin and Joel Osteen. I told God one day if I could only go to one of those church my life would really change and there leadership because I believe that both of these men are true men of God. I found out that Pastor Franklin was in Gainesville but I didn't know where it was. Well I got lost one day in Gainesville and I went so far and thought I better turn around; well when I made that you turn there was Free Chapel. I have since been Baptized and going on my fourth year under his leadership. It was the best thing that has happen to me living in Georgia. I have been through some very bad times and I'm still going through but it's my connection with Free Chapel that has given me the strength to hold on. I now know God and have a relationship with him and I never had that before . My soul has been truly blessed. I'm happier than I've ever been before and it all due to learning to walk with God through the teaching of this awesome man of God. If your looking for a church home Free Chapel is the place to be.
