That means he's going to middle school and she stays in elementary... So I actually visited back in January, I was greeted & treated with respect (which was really nice) everyone was kind, happy and actually had us excited for my daughter to start! So last week I dropped off all the paperwork to enroll my daughter except for a lease or deed & 2 bills in my name @ my address & I was actually in & out pretty quickly! (It definitely didn't take as long as it did to enroll my son!) Only thing that bothered me really, was when we were coming out of the bathroom there was a teacher in the hallway with a male student, about 5th grade or so I believe, with a teacher & there was obviously a problem that happened in the class which the teacher had removed the students because of! What bothered me was while the teacher was talking or going over the disciplinary action that was going to be taken she had her hands on the student sort of grabbing his upper arms & the kid was yelling @ the teacher! When we got back into the office there were 2 other students who I assumed were part of or the cause of the disruption because one boy had tears steadily running down his face & the other boy was yelling at the office lady trying to tell her what happened! It was at this point I thought to myself that it must have been really bad & after whatever happened the teacher did the right thing by separating the kids & they obviously don't know how to act because my children would NEVER yell at a staff member at their school none the less disrespect an adult or a class mate! So I immediately felt differently after seeing the bigger picture! Once that was over we were given the rest of information on what to expect with the enrollment & then we were good to go! I went back the next day to drop off the deed & even though it was the end of the day on a Friday we were helped pretty quickly to get the copies made & was given a 30 day extension on getting the 2 bills in my name @ my new address! All in all my daughter hasn't even started the school yet & I already love it! I just hope there are no bullies here but honestly I've heard nothing but good things about this school so I really hope that we didn't get our hopes up for nothing! Once she's been there for a month or so I can update my review!

This elementary public school is not the greatest, here's why; The…read moreteachers are known to give low ratings for your child's report card during the first quarter, and gradually improve their ratings by the last quarter...(my child transferred into this school at a 10th grade reading level), important note: child didn't learn alot this year and never earned above an average on the report card(per the teacher), but on the State exam she was asked to take the advanced test (tested above all the other kids) and test scores were above the class...how she got an average report card is beyond me! -Teacher had no supporting documents or examples why she gave our initial report card low score and said she sent them home with my child, when confrence occured. -Teacher then treated our child indifferently after the ugly confrence. Would only post pictures with the back of her head when class teamwork was posted on dojo for the parents and never encouraged our child as an individual on self esteem. PRIVATE SCHOOLS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT!! Or..... Volunteer in your child's classroom and be part of the PTO if you can. If you cant, lots of homeschooling is recommended.

We actually enrolled her a couple of weeks late, but her teacher, Mrs Sleydin, took her time and got my daughter acclimated to the learning environment right away. Here is what makes this school so special: *Individualized Learning:* They structure lessons to meet each child's needs. They know how to recognize children who are more advanced and those who need a little more help. Because of this, my daughter made incredible progress in reading and math. *Well-Rounded Activities:* I love the art, gym, and playtime. As a mother it feels amazing to drop your baby off at school and they are excited about going and an even better feeling is when my husband or I pick him up and look thru the door and he's in his class laughing and playing and actually enjoying himself . Every evening he has great art work and projects that have shown me he is actually learning and not just sitting around or running wild with no structure. Also the Director and Assistant director and the teachers are absolutely amazing as well, they are very well mannered and genuinely care about the " parents and the children " . and everything at this center runs smoothly and perfect. It was a half day class that went by quickly as Stephen is a great instructor that kept the course interesting and kept the class engaged through real life stories. You never know when an emergency may occur and the invaluable training I received may save a life one day (although I hope I never have to use it). I cannot recommend this class enough!
