I was treated like a deadbeat with a zero credit score. (It is actually over 800.) To begin, I was told the diagnosis would cost $199 but would be applied toward the bill if they did the job, which I intended to have them do. They guy came out, looked at my system for about 30 seconds, and told me I had a leaking irrigation valve (which was already obvious to me). He said the system was old and there were other valves ready to fail as well. We agreed that I should just replace them all. I asked for an estimate and he told me he would have one either by phone or email by the end of the day. There was no request for payment so I assumed we would just roll it into the bill for the job. Two days later, I called to ask about the estimate. A lady said they guy was too busy to write it up but she would email me one by the end of the day. Two days after that I sent an email asking about the estimate I still had not received. She said it would be around $1200. I said that I would accept that and to put me on the schedule and send a written version of the estimate. That is when they seemed to get defensive. They said I would need to pay them 50% of the estimate (which I still did not have in writing) before they would even put me on the schedule. After this, and the lack of a timely response earlier, I was getting a little leary of their business. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, however this is not my first rodeo, I told her I would pay the 50% when they showed up to do the job. They did not reply at all after that except to send a bill for the estimate. Not only did they demand payment THAT DAY or face a 35% late fee, but they dated the bill FOUR DAYS prior! I'd had enough of this company by then. I drove a check for the "inspection" over to their "office" and hand delivered it. I would NEVER do business with people who treat customers like this. Good luck if you do. In the end, I think they just wanted a quick buck doing the "inspection" and never intended to do the work. Sad.

They left nails and wire all over the ground even though I begged them not to do this because it could seriously injure my horses. The worst part was being gouged for materials. After cashing a check from me for $15,699.84 marked "paid in full" they threatened to take out a lien on my home if I did not pay them $1275 for additional materials. When I asked to see a receipt for the materials they could never produce one for my job. When I asked why I was being charged $5.89 each for 125 bags of concrete that cost $3.50 at Home Depot they first claimed they were charging me what they paid their vendor, then claimed they had to overcharge me "or else we wouldn't be in business." I do not think they will be able to stay in business by treating their customers this way. Save yourself a lot of headache and expense - avoid Express Iron Works.

I had what I thought was an issue about our tile roof that would require a complete replacement…read more Every roofing contractor that came suggested an expensive replacement, some without going on the roof to inspect, those who got on the roof but didn't take any pictures or moving a single tile. Jonathan was different. He was all about details and was scrupulous. He took pictures to show me areas that, down the road, may need work. He commented on the cracked screws around the vent cover, the broken seal around the skylight, the flashing being clean, the current condition of the underlayment, the protective metal shield along the perimeter of the house installed by the previous owner, etc. In spite of some minor issues, he concluded that the roof is in good condition and no repair or replacement is necessary. He didn't charge me anything for the inspection when offered . He explained well and was pleasant. Jonathan came over and checked everything out, giving us the unfortunate update that we had a lot more issues than we actually knew. When he inspected our roof for a quote, he is the ONLY roofer who took pictures to explain to us what was going on up there. He is also the ONLY roofer who followed up with us after receiving the quote. We had a small legal battle due to our inspector being negligent which is why we didn't know about any of these roofing issues. We did some research on the products they were going to use and after everything we found out it was a clear choice for us on who to proceed with. We signed a contract with them in January and we just completed our roof and gutter installation before the end of March. There was a lot more damage than what we expected which made us even more grateful that we had Jonathan and his team working on our home. He communicated with us the entire time with daily updates on their progress. We are so grateful to LeMoine Roofing and would recommend them to anyone. We can't wait for more housing projects in the future and will absolutely be giving them a call.

The second was 400 ft of 5 ft black chain-link fencing and 3 gates. DM Fencing took the time to prepare the site digging out high spots, filling low spots, tree trimming and cutting through logs as our property is in a forested area. Also, DM Fencing worked with us on installing a driveway gate we ordered and they made two custom man gates because our gates are larger than the pre-made gates available.
