Of the 3 reps, I liked Josh the best as he frequently mentioned that his team is professional and he quaranteed that I would like it. His estimate was the lowest of the 3, by a significant margin. We choose the metal posts because if I do live long enough to replace the the fence again, the posts will be intact and replacement is very simple. We chose the cedar pickets, again for longevity, yet when up, they are actually very atractive. For privacy, on a side with an active neighbor, we chose 'board on board'. It gave us the privacy because there are no gaps and it is actually a very good look. I wish we had done both entire sides using 'board on board'. Be sure to ask about it. Our 52" gates on both sides are well supported and I will not be worrying about sagging. Josh's crew IS professional. They come to work and do it right; all the time communicating to be sure that they were producing what we were expecting. The truth is, it's better than we expected. And we're grateful for that. They got us scheduled quickly and finished in one day. A week or so later, one of the boards had a small crack. I wasn't sure if it was bad luck or damage from our crazy Oklahoma storms. I contacted the company and not only did they come out and replace the board for free, they also noticed one with a knothole and replaced that one as well. At the final meeting, he had the audacity to ask for over 1K for blah blah. Of course we said "NO, there's nothing in the contract about that and doesn't he know whats in his own contract?" Then, he actually said this, "dont u think i deseve it for all the work i did?" Stupidly we read and trusted google reviews. I'm old enough to kown its a red flag when a company cant provide real life references. As i think back noiw, maybe he needed the 14thousand $$ to get by for 5 months and never really was going to do anything. Lesson learned??? Ask for old fashioned references and CHECK THEM!!!
