This business has truly been a God send. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Jones are truly great people. Just one example: Mike Jones helped my wife, a disabled Army Veteran at the local polling station and got her a chair while she waited to vote. Mrs. Jones heard I requested 8mm ammunition and a few days later the shelves were stacked with several boxes. They offer a wide array of ammunition for every budget and what I appreciate is they have the oddball stuff I like such as .257 Roberts and 30-40 Krag for example, along with .303 British blanks. I've been on a recent kick to find blanks so my 13 year old son who is a bit recoil shy can learn the fundamentals without worrying about the hard kick to his shoulder. Mrs. Jones is customer focused and if she can order it, she will do her best to get it. The depth and breadth and variety of firearms, supplies and fishing lures and bait are far more impressive to me than what you find at a crowded big box store such as PSA. They offer a bit of everything and each time I'm in, there's always something new. They are my go to for deer corn (cob and kernel only) and the staff- Summer and Dan are like extended family to me. They don't understand but just chatting with them has truly brought me joy since I lost my Dad to Cancer. This place is a hidden gem that you should check out and it's the people - Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Summer and Dan that remind me why I moved back home to SC after enduring 22 long years and winters in central Ohio. Awesome family-owned business! It's a small shop with a very seasonal inventory in stock so your best bet is to go on their HUGE website and pick what you want from their warehouse inventory and then have it shipped to your house or to their store if necessary. I tend to go into the store about once a week to see what all new has come in; new ammunition, new consignments, new inventory, and just to "talk shop" with the owner and employees. read more

I started to go to Academy Sports in Columbia but decided to stop by Freedom First Outfitters to see if they had what I was looking for locally. I'm so glad that I stopped here first. As soon as I walked up to the pistol case I saw exactly what I was wanting. This stop saved a couple hours of time and gas to go to Columbia. And to my surprise there was a $ 30.00 rebate on the site where I registered the gun. I am well pleased with the purchase. Three requests for an update on my order placed over a week ago and no initial information or update after requesting information. The company boasts on being a combat veteran runned company, but I as a veteran would not leave a customer hanging this long. The company got my money but I guess is refusing to send me my order. I can only assume this since they refuse to update me on my order. Be very careful when ordering from this company you may not get your moneys worth or your items at all! Finally got an update on my order, the gentleman was very professional and apologetic for not responding sooner. Ordered on Feb 7 just arrived today on Feb 21. 1 email response was ship out on Tuesday never happen. No response from 2 more email by contact us for tracking. Boxes were so beat up by poor packaging don't know if out stock or just beat up on FedEx shipping. In this day and age if Amazon can get you something the same day. Ordered online with a confirmation on Sunday 2/25/17, after calling the business Monday 2/26/17 the person responded the items are in stock but will not go out until Friday or Monday of the following week. Actual shipment pickup was 3/9/17. Scheduled delivery 3/14/17. VERY SLOW SHIPPING SERVICE. Do not use if expecting product quickly. read more
