Trash. Customer service is a joke. My real estate agent bought us this and I'm sorry she wasted her money. AG complaint filed.

I paid over $800 for an extended warranty. My refrigerator quit and they sent a repairman out in February and he looked at it for 5 minutes and said "yep it doesn't work". They said that they would call the manufacturer. I could not get a hold of them again. My hot tub quit heating and my jacuzzi stopped pumping. Could not get a hold of them for that either. I ended up buying a new refrigerator because I could not wait due to COVID-19. Needless to say I did not renew the worthless warranty. read more

I receive a warranty with the purchase of my home. My home inspection came back with no repairs needed, and no issues with Pluming, or AC. After moving in we had not problems with the home. After a week we started having problems with the pluming. Freedom Home Warranty would not even send anyone out. Without even looking they said it was pre-existing and would not come out. A month after living in the home, and having a fully working A/C unit, our A/C stopped working. Freedom Home Warranty took 3 weeks to send anyone out, they then told me it was pre-existing and would not over the repair to the A/C. Reading the contract it state: Any and all pre-existing conditions are not covered, and Freedom Home Warranty reserves the right to determine whether an item or system is pre-existing. Freedom Warranty will not cover pre-existing, and they get to decide what is pre-existing. So even if your home passed the full home inspection they will claim its pre-existing so they don't have to pay anything. read more

This company is an absolute scam. They will find every possible way to get out of actually covering what they claim that they will. I have a LOT of friends in the market for homes right now and I will be sure that they do NOT go through this company! Shameful! read more

They are now closed with no notification to customers. The website is down, phone lines disconnected and emails are not returned. Their offices also appear to be deserted. I am out $350 since I still had 6 months left on my warranty I paid up front for. BBB is unable to do anything since they are not able to contact the business owners. read more

I wish I would've read this before buying. I paid $500 dollars to cover everything possible. 3 things break within two weeks of moving in and they deny my claim because they think it's pre-existing. If all of that was wrong before I bought the house, I wouldn't have bought it. They tried wriggling out of other ways not to cover it as well. My light switch isn't working, in regards to turning the ceiling fan on. They called it a ceiling fan issue and that they don't cover ceiling fans. When I explained that it's the light switch, which falls under electrical issues that are covered, she hits me with the pre-existing excuse. I'm out $500 for them and now however many hundreds of dollars it's going to take to fix what's wrong. This place is literally a scam and violating the BBB as I interpret it. read more

Stay far away from this home warranty company! They are as unethical as they come! I had my home warranty with ACHW for less than a month and encountered one problem after another with them denying claims for completely legitimate issues. As a result, I cancelled my contract and am now battling with them to get the refund I am entitled to per their own service contract. read more

Zero stars. Listen to the other reviews and AVOID this company for your warranty. We bought a rental house and a month into our tenant moving in, the water heater quits working. I call to see if this is something covered and told it is not. Fast forward three months and I just so happen to call about some electrical work. In the process, I read their policy as what they cover in preparation for them to give me some excuse as to why it's not covered. Well low and behold, a water heater IS COVERED. I call back and tell them the situation and they give me the run around about it being a preexisting condition and they don't reimburse after the fact.... total scam of a company. I reminded them that the water heater was working fine when we had the home inspection so how could it be a preexisting condition. More excuses... go elsewhere for your warranty. read more

Worst warranty company I have ever dealt with. Had oil leak in heat pump - not covered, 2 other issues with heater - not covered. Anything that breaks is not covered, Your better off saving your money and not getting a Freedom Home Warranty as they will find a way not to pay. read more

Warranties are great until you need to use them... The pilot light went out in our older (not ancient) water heater. Called Freedom and had 3 different plumbers come out to relight the pilot light because it kept going out every day. The plumbers each told us it needed to be replaced and there was no way to fix it. After 6 days without hot water and countless calls back and forth, Freedom said they would only pay to replace the pilot light. This would be fine if this was physically possible. Each of the plumbers said, you cannot do that, with the new systems today they do not even sell just the pilot light parts, it is physically impossible and the whole thing needed to be replaced. Freedom was terrible at conversing with the plumbers to get this resolved. They yelled and hung up on our plumber right in front of us. One of Freedom's customer service reps said she would have the owner call me, never did. The customer service is terrible, absolutely terrible. In the end Freedom paid for a small portion of what was needed. I get that if our system is old and there are newer and more expensive ones today that we may have to pay some extra to split the difference but they should have paid for the replacement value of the entire system which is stated in our warranty package that we had with Freedom. Do not use if you think you may need to use their warranty services. read more

I was switched to Freedom Home Warranty from America's Choice, and I have had such a struggle to get anything done. My refrigerator broke, so we filed a claim and the guy came out and did part of the work and then stopped returning our calls and messages. Finally, we gave up and reached out to Freedom Home Warranty to try to resolve the issue, but they made us pay a second time to have him come back out and finish the job. Now, we have paid, but still can't get in touch with the guy and still don't have a properly working refrigerator. Extremely frustrating!! read more

We bought our Home in February, the home inspector said there was nothing wrong with the AC unit and we were assured that purchasing a Home Warranty would protect us. Buyer Beware!! It's May and our AC will not turn on and Freedom will not cover that, they won't even look at it. They say it's the first time of use. No kidding, we had it checked before we closed but it's been kind of cold so I haven't needed it. Hiding behind the fine print is Very disappointing! Now I paid for a 2-year warranty that doesn't cover my AC. NOT HAPPY!! Be careful! all the 5-star reviews seem to be realtors recommending their customers if you look at the actual customers you will see the same story repeated and 1-star reviews. We are extremely disappointed with our freedom home warranty. After my husband had a stroke we had to move to Colorado and tried to make it easy by buying a home with no problems per inspection. From the time we moved in we have had many problems. Freedom home warranty has claimed that everything is pre-existing even though these things were not found in the inspection. It seems they know before you even explain what the problem is that it was pre-existing. Please do not waste your money by going with them! They seem to be out to only make money and do not seem to care about customers at all! read more

This company is a COMPLETE scam! We bought a home & 3 days later the HVAC system stopped working. Our inspection report indicated EVERYTHING with the HVAC had passed! They won't look at our inspection report, the HVAC system, or consider any facts. I didn't even get a chance to finish explaining the issue before the rude woman on the phone deemed it a preexisting condition. Apparently, the contract states that Freedom Home (not a professional) gets to decide what is or isn't preexisting. I'm not sure how that is legal. This company has a pretty shady & extensive record with the Better Business Bureau, which is well deserved. My toddler & 5 year old have been huddled close to the 1 window cooler in the house for the past 3 days, in 100 degree+ weather (Southern Utah). I would not wish this on anyone! This is NOT how I imagined buying our first family home would turn out! If you are reading this, & you have been scammed too, please file a report with the BBB & attorney generals office, so this doesn't happen to anymore unsuspecting families. read more
