This hospital truly stands by its name... "Hospital for Special Care". The staff works beyond the…read morenormal to help you not only feel better physical, but also to help create a plan of action to help you rebuild your life stronger physical and emotional as well. I have had chronic pain since 2006 between my neck, back, knee, foot, and recently tendinitis in my hand for almost 2 years, I have done regular PT and even tried getting a Cortisone shot to release my pain. However, it lasted 2 months and the pain was back even worst then before. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia several months ago and recently was advised to try Aquatic therapy since the pool is 93 degrees. My first visit was beyond compassionate for my pain. I was given several laminated pool exercises after my treatment was completed. Within 3 months of going to the pool 3 times per week-1 hour each time. Not only did my pain in my hand went from a level 9 to 2. I was then able to strengthen my other joints since the water has less poundings on my joints. It was like a healing miracle happened. I am feeling so much stronger not just in my joints but in my mindset as well. Anyone who hasn't had a great experience with this hospital, perhaps you didn't give it a fair chance. I wanted to live my life without as much pain so I can. I did what was advised even when I didn't want to go I went always. I talk to everyone I can about this hospital. I love their logo.... "We rebuild lives" that's just what they did for me. So please don't lose hope where there is breath there is hope. Angela C. from Southington

He'd just started speaking again just to be sent to the hospital again which set him back so far he again stopped speaking as well as had several seizures due to having meltdowns. Yet begging these people for only 7 days worth of his meds to hold him over till he saw the new doctor was too much. So they allowed my son to suffer. I'm sorry but any facility able to do that isnt worth the business. They care about the checks not the patients. I was willing to compromise and do literally anything just to make sure my son received his medication. They still refused. There's no empathy or understanding from these people. They only understand pay checks and our families deserve better than that. Please don't send your kids here.

I love that she is my PCP she is very understanding and reaches out to me when I am having an issue. I never have to worry about her judging me. Her office is very clean and she talks to you with respect. Her bedside manner is top notch, maybe because she is an NP and they are better than doctors in my opinion. Most doctors don't just offer help but she does. She actually cares and takes time with you. You will never feel rushed by anything. Very kindhearted and her location is like a mom and pop medical center. It feels like everyone is a close family. Her personality really puts me at ease because she reminds me of one of my family members. Too bad all locations weren't like hers. She takes control and fixes a problem and will not let you down. Yes, the office is small but it is so clean that you will not even notice it. You will not get treated differently if you have medicaid unlike some places that I know. She goes above and beyond with her check-ups and lets you know the reason why you have the appointment. If it wasn't for her then I would have to wait for months to be seen for my medical conditions. She will never force medications on you if you do not want to take them. You get to make your own choices. She understands that people act different to all kinds of meds and that treatment for everyone is different.

She was easy to talk to walked me carefully through each step that she took with my pap, IUD removal and blood test. She is so friendly and welcoming and is the only medical practitioner I've ever seen who hasn't tried to change my mind about what I wanted. I HIGHLY recommend her, especially to women who are transitioning between birth controls or who want a kind, non-judgmental medical professional taking good care of them!
