Worst customer service. Been a long-time customer, but the service provided has gone downhill. Tried to switch to new carrier and rep states can take over a month. I just canceled my service within the 30-day free period. Unfortunately, every day since receiving my 800 number I've received at least 10 spam calls a day. So much so that I did not want to attach a forwarding number to it because it would disturb my day. I called customer support today to see if there was a spam blocker I could add but they said my only 2 options were to (1) get a new number or (2) add the numbers to my block list. Well the issue would still continue if I add a new number and additionally, I had added several numbers to my block list but these spam accounts keep calling with new numbers. read more

FREEDOM VOICE are PROFESSIONAL CROOKS! I have had 3 separate accounts with them in the past and never had an issue until it was time to cancel. I literally have had an issue with canceling every account. They refused to cancel subscriptions, using delaying tactics. I opened this particular account 10/21 and requested to cancel it 12/21. I have called SEVERAL TIMES in between 12/21 and today, 11/23 and yet this company is still charging me and refuses to retro credit me back from my original call. Even though their records/notes show that I asked to cancel 12/21, they chose to pause the billing so I didn't notice the billing for 3 months and then they resumed billing me!!! EVERY TIME I called after that they say I'll have a manager call you back to address your billing issues and THEY NEVER EVER CALL BACK! I'm to the point of calling the police and filling a police report!! I am on hold with them right now and have been for over an hour requesting to speak to a manager who is authorized to credit me back to the original call-12/21. The rep has told me 4 TIMES that a manager will call me back, I have REFUSED to relinquish the line. He will have to hang up on me and trust me- I will take it 10 levels higher from there!!! At first glance this SEEMS like a good deal/service, but it does not compare to other providers I've used. Here's why: 1. Support is only available during certain hours 2. I went to submit a help ticket and the website tried making me log in to the help section of the site (really?). When I entered my user/password (which I had just updated), NOPE. Does not work. 3. I tried to record my outgoing message. I click the box "Have the system call me to record my voicemail message" I enter my phone number. No dice. No call. It's been an hour. I tried two phone numbers. 4. I can't figure out how to cancel my account. I guess I'll have to call them. Don't waste your time. You've got a business to run. Edit: I spoke with support (and cancelled my account). Apparently the website has issues with Safari browser, which is why the call did not come through when I clicked Call Me. And the help log in thing: Also a compatibility issue with Safari. This can easily be noted SOMEWHERE on the website. "Please use Google Chrome" would suffice. read more

I live in Las Vegas and FreedomVoice Telecommunication is not a good company to use for voice and faxing... Here is my correspondence: "Hello, My name is Coni J. Mackey and I am a self employed mobile notary in Las Vegas NV. I have/had an account with FreedomVoice for voice and faxing. My account number is _______ and number is 855.958.____. I am hired by title companies to sign real estate documents and they require me to fax documents back to them after clients have signed, in order to get paid. I recently heard from my biggest title company that they are not doing business with me for 90 days due to the fact that I don't fax documents back. When they mentioned that to me I was stunned. I went to my account with FreedomVoice as that is who I use for my fax service, and noticed that on certain days the faxes didn't go through. I was not alerted nor did I have ANY idea that my faxes were being received. (I have included a screenshot of my account to show the faxes that didn't go through but yet, it says that it was sent. When I called Freedom Voice, yesterday, I was told that your service could not handle a lot of faxed pages at one time and perhaps it was better if I used a fax machine or find another service if I fax a lot of pages. No where in your literature, when I signed up, provided that information. If I had known, I would have NEVER signed up with you. I was then sent to billing to cancel my account and have two months credited. Victoria was very pleasant and helped as much as she could and because my number is on ALL of my business cards, I opted to keep the service for two months for free in order to find another service and to order new business cards. This error, which is no fault of mine, has cost me $340.00 and 90 days of business. My top client will NOT send me any business due to your service. I would like to be compensated for my loss of business. Two months of free service ($10.00) is not recompense enough. I will await your response." All they could offer me was 4 months free. I explained the situation and he replied we can't help you you'll have to find a new provider. Their advertisement makes you feel that their monthly rate is low, but for my new website to use the 800 number they provided, it turned out to be more expensive than anybody else. I used their 800 number for my website, the first few months, only a few visits to my website, and average monthly calls were only 2 or 3 times, but the monthly time always exceeded the limit. I questioned them why, their answer was that the number was used by other businesses before, customers might call back in. AT&t offered us a service that they said could replace freedom voice, but we found out that was not true and also it was much more expensive. This service has worked great for our nonprofit organization. When calls come in they get emailed as an attachment to a number of people. Someone can just say that they've got it and handle the call. Other calls on the phone for your handled by specific people for specific situations. And our hotline is forwarded to a few people so most calls are picked up right when they come in. The voice mail goes into my email when I'm away from the phone. I use Freedom Voice for my business so they're very important in my receiving business calls. I have been with freedomvoice for almost 16 years. Recently the card on file expired so my services were interrupted. Mind you we have a couple of numbers with them and I have referred many people to freedomvoice. I call to reactivate and update my information and they have an email that has been deactivated for 2 years so I cant verify that way. The other way is through the last 4 digits. I give them the last 4 digits of the card that belonged to the account previously and it doesn't match. Not sure why as i only get a card every 3 years. Now i have to write a letter and get it notarized mail it to California. Then my business lines get reactivated.Customer services was no help. Cancel service with them or so I thought. They continued to charge my account even though I was no longer using the services. They never informed me that I had to return ship their desktop phone out my own pocket. Which is why service was never cancelled. The representative I spoke with did not inform of this when I originally called in the cancellation of services nor was I informed of having to return the phone on my own expense. The service they provide is very limited compared to other service providers. Even though they're one of the more affordable providers, you get what you pay for. read more

This company is absurd. I cancelled my account with them in January. I noticed in July they were still billing my account. I called to complain and cancel the account, they assured me I wouldn't be billed. I. August there was another charge for $31.99. I called again, they refused to refund me but told me it wouldn't happen again. In September i had another charge - I fired chargebacks and got $700 back for fraudulent charges from them for the past 9 months. It's October. I woke up this morning to another charge from them - I called them and they said that they had actually been contacting Visa and getting my new card information and Visa keeps giving it to them. They refused to refund the charges and told me I would have to take it up with the bank. I may have to close my entire account to get away from them. I am one stop short of calling an attorney and sending them a demand letter, this is absurd. I'm going to be leaving this review everywhere in hopes that nobody gives them card information to these scam artists again. read more

This company has terrible customer service. I have had trouble porting of our telephone lines from cox. They believe sending me a email telling me that I have been rejected for the 6th or 7th time is customer service. They have had no problem billing for the last 4 months, even though none of my customers know the number they assigned me. I called in today and spoke to Giovanni and Customer Care and he was amazing! He listened to my concerns, addressed them, and offered solutions to take care of them. Furthermore, he gave me a tip about the waiting music when using my smartphone. I don't know why other people leave such negative comments. Don't go with this company if you ever hope to talk to someone in their customer service department. I called three times and always got placed on hold and NEVER did anyone pickup. There is absolutely NO customer service. They have reps that handle new accounts because that's where they make their money, but they do not have anyone to talk to if you have problems. My account was suspended because I changed credit cards and I forgot my password to log in to my account. It two TWO WEEKS for someone to email me (not call me) with my password. By then, Freedom had already suspended my account. I agree with previous reviews. Customer service used to be very good, but now it is nonexistent. Telephone service does what they say it does, but we're cancelling just on service alone. A company should care at least a little bit about its customers, but Freedom absolutely does not. read more
