    a platter of seafood

WOW! I called Freeman's because I wanted to do "raw bar" for me and 3 others but didn't know where to start. They helped me figure out what to order and how to order for the amount of people I wanted to feed. I set a pickup day and time and when I arrived today they were putting on the finishing touches, talk about fresh! They put everything on a beautiful platter and my guests were so impressed (and so were the people waiting in line outside Freeman's as I walked out with it!) On top of all that the staff were incredibly friendly and the quality was amazing. I will definitely continue to order from there!

This place is very, very, very, very expensive. More expensive than Whole Foods. I mean, I am not a seafood conneseuer but I know seafood that tastes bad and I know seafood that tastes good and great. This seafood was great. Awesome. But unless you are the super rich, like most of the residents in this uber affluent town (not me) or just have some extra cash from your recent pick 3 Lotto win (me), you cannot afford the seafood in this place. So yes, the fish was amazing but I just cannot get over the sticker shock. Customer service was top notch. The seafood salad was incredible. Salmon was phenomenal. Prices were out of this world. But hey, rich suburbanites have always needed that consumer experience that screams " I am so much better and richer than you!" This place pacifies their not so subtle arrogance to a tee. Swordfish steaks @ $28.00 a pound. That's $4.00 more than Whole Foods!!

Delicious and fresh seafood. The service is always attentive and kind. Couldn't ask for a better fish market.

Outstanding! Got the Salmon with a Bourbon glaze and a lb of Cole slaw. Killer! Pricey but well worth it.

Worst crab cake I ever ate. The meat was brown? NOT lump crabmeat. Expected much more.

Love Freeman's! It's a small no-fuss fish market with extremely fresh seafood. What more could you need?

I do not eat shellfish so I can't comment but the cod, porgies, sole, etc.

This is my second review. First one wasn't good and unfortunately this one isn't much better…read more My husband stopped by looking for whole fish, which they happily had but it was larger than he wanted so he opted to buy me lunch since I work nearby. The issue is that the sandwiches sound delicious on the menu but the reality doesn't live up to my expectations. My husband order some spicy Mexican inspired fried catfish sandwich for himself and a fried scallop sandwich for me. The sandwiches presented well but both lacked flavor, salt & seasoning in general. Even the soups; one was supposed to be red lentils but looked mostly yellow lentil and again desperately needed salt for one and would have been improved with additional seasonings. Whoever made the manhattan clam chowder got the recipe correct. It was the only thing that was tasty without needing alteration. The owner is nice and after my first poor review offered to make me a replacement but I didn't take him up on the offer. If they only get it right while someone is watching over their shoulder, what's the point. It is NOT a cheap lunch so to be disappointed is a real bummer. Better to stick with the raw seafood items or some prepackaged items (hummus & great flatbreads).

Ordered there tonight ( we are locals!) Had beer at Sunkin…read moresilo, placed order there Never got call or text that it was ready had to go to check . The fried shrimp & clam strips were like JERKEY ! Only thing good was steamers ( can't really screw that up! ) and the bread that we had to ask for and obviously they don't make that !! Glad to see the Lebanon Pub does take out orders ! Will never order from Metro again !! Terrible to say the least!!
