I was reluctant to go after seeing some of the reviews but honestly it was just like every other souvenir shop I've ever been in. I found the ladies inside to be very nice and helpful. And outside of the regular Miami themed touristy clothes, I liked their beachy-wear too. I didn't find it any more overpriced than any other souvenir shop. And one of the ladies was selling her homemade jewelry there, which was def more of a high end style than most, so I supported her small business that way too. read more

SCAMMERS. IF IT DOESN'T HAVE A PRICE TAG ON IT DO NOT PICK IT UP. THEY WILL MAKE UP A PRICE ON THE SPOT. I picked up some poker cards, it didn't have a price tag on it so I looked at the same exact poker cards right next to it (different design but same exact cards) and it said $12.99. I was like okay so these are going to be $12.99. Nope. $18.99. HER APPARENT "COST" was more because it's a different design. I'd understand if it was an extra $1 or $2 MAYBE. But No. $6 extra FOR THE SAME EXACT CARDS. I asked to change them and a refund because I couldn't careless about the design and she refused to give me the surplus in money. DO NOT GO.. Theifs! Mgr or supervisor extremely rude and spoke on phone in another language and was bad mouthing me for taking long to pick a float. I almost fell on the floor when she attempted to charge me $98.00 for 1 can of coke, 1 Red Bull and 2 rinky dink inte kids inflatable tube. Not realizing all the exact same floats were $14.99 w tags I grabbed the only w/out price! She tried to charge me doubl!! at that point I decided not to give her a penny and leave but I opened the soda and the right thing is to pay.. holy moly $15.00 for a Red Bull and coke. I went next door to CVS and bought the floats at CVS and more less than $20 for everything!! Ask to see an itemized receipt! Went to the store 30 minutes before closing. Overcharged for one tank, one baseball cap, 3 small bracelets and two toys that 2 for $20. Today around 11 am I went in to the store to buy some stuff for my kids. There was a promotion too on the toys. Your disgusting cashier tried to over charge me way more! I asked her few times politely to check my items because she is wrong about the prices even with tax it shouldn't be that much....she refused and kept being pushy and arrogant! Well guess what not everyone is stupid !!! Finally after many times telling her to be respectful and check why she overcharges me then she saw I'm not letting her to look at me stupid she agree I was right. Tried to blame on the computer what a lie. Your female cashier was disgusting rude and doesn't deserve to work in sales. This is not how u keep your business. The girl working there screamed at my daughter, who is in her mid-30s, because she accidentally bumped her stroller with a sleeping baby into a shelf. A shot glass fell and broke. Not that big of a deal. Did not require that type of a reaction. We paid for the $7.99 item, wholesale price probably $2. We left and spent $150 at another store on souvenirs for our group of 8. If you own this store, you should teach your employees the art of grace. No one was goofing around or acting stupid, it was an accident. Definitely not for me. RETIRED POLICY. So I picked up two pairs of flip-flops and a hat. Everything was good, paid $50 in total. Then went to CVS next door for sunscreen and saw the same flip-flops for $10 each. Instead of 15, I paid before. OK, I was thinking that there would be nothing wrong if I returned my items 20 min later to the same shop. But not, they do not take the items back and don't do the refund. When I asked the manager she said the same thing. It's the first time in my life when the store does not accept returns literally 20 min after the purchase with all the tags, receipts, and the same plastic bag! It's ridiculously disrespectful to all the customers who are coming to your store. I personally will never come back and tell all my friends the same thing. Wow! My husband, baby and I got stuck in a rain storm walking home. We went into FreeStyle Surf Shop to stay dry. The ladies went above and beyond for us. They offered their office to feed our baby and let us stay as long as we wanted. We had the best experience here and would recommend to anyone in the Sunny Isles area! read more

The employee here needs to address her anti-Black racism. She literally followed my children & I around the store while I had them look for souvenirs. She didn't even try to not look conspicuous. worse experience ever!! picked a hat off the shelf that had a price sticker of 14.99. while cashing out cashier charged me $20. after calling her out she claimed the 14.99 price tag is what the owner paid and $20 is what they charge. they would not honor the price that was on the hat, so after some back and forth a manager of sorts came over and finally honored the price. never in my life have ever paid more then the sticker price on an item. they should remove these stickers if their not going charge you that price. next time I'm going to wings or surf style! read more
