This is my go-to nail salon. I've tried several technicians and although they are all really good,…read moreLorena is by far my favorite, so I always book around her schedule. I discovered the salon randomly when I used to work in the area. I no longer work nearby, but I still make the drive from Fort Lauderdale because Lorena is that good. This is a Spanish-speaking establishment; however it's never been an issue for me as, Google Translate is a great tool, and the receptionist I wish I knew her name is amazing. She always answers my texts promptly to book appointments, speaks English, and is great at translating if needed. She is typically there, which is helpful in this appointment-only salon. The salon is small but always clean, and they are constantly busy, so be sure to book ahead. Prices are very fair for the quality of service you receive. I get a gel manicure and regular pedicure, and my nails typically last three, sometimes even four weeks, which is crazy. My nails have never been so long and healthy. As an extra touch, they serve Cuban coffee, which I absolutely love. If you are looking for an affordable, clean salon with great customer service, this is your place.

When you consistently use the same stick to wax an area and then dip it back into the wax pot, you can transfer bacteria & disease into the wax that will continue to live as it is a warm environment. This it is possible to transfer herpes from someone getting a bikini wax onto someone's lip from using the same contaminated wax pot. The solution: use a new wax stick each time you dip into the wax pot! No cross contamination!! (And yes, I got off the table with only half a lip wax). #2: Cutting open skin while getting a pedicure. Ok, it can happen, but clean it & disinfect it when it does. Don't continue to pour chemicals (callous remover, exfoliating scrub, lotion) into the open wound! It burns & hurts & again, can lead to infection! All of this is assuming the instruments used during the pedicure were sanitary to begin with. In hindsight, I would have happily paid double the price, somewhere else (and I will next time), to avoid the discomfort, pain, and exposure to bacteria & infection due to sloppy practices. The thing that caught me the most off guard - they all seemed like it was no big deal or concern. Scary!! Someone could get very sick or worse because of their practices and conduct. If you don't know how to properly protect your clients from infection, bacteria, or unsanitary conditions, you need to further educate your team. Beware if you come here - keep your eyes open and stop services before you end up sick or hurt!

The salon was clean and didn't have the overpowering chemical smell you often find at other nail places, which made it so much more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the pedicure itself was excellent. The leg massage was so relaxing and definitely a highlight of the experience. If you're in the area and need a great place to pamper yourself, I'd definitely recommend stopping by T&K Nails. Lovely people and a wonderful experience.

I messaged her through Yelp, and her son (or nephew?) was quick to respond back with how I could book an appointment with Nery. She is extremely packed on weekends and evenings, so I took a half day for myself and went on a random Tuesday morning. A regular, non-gel mani/pedi for me took about an hour and a half - just as estimated when I booked the appointment too! Nery was welcoming, and completely understanding that I am indecisive. I changed my nail colors at least 3 times, and spent more than half my manicure debating is I should change my pedicure color (I did). But who can resist when Nery has walls of OPI and Zoya colors? I'm a sucker for Zoya, and dozens of colors she had on her wall, I also have in my closet. That's how I knew I would love Nery - quality polishes. None of the gross Kleancolor stuff I see a lot at other salons in the area. I chose a matte green from Zoya, opting to not put a top coat on it because it's a matte and c'mon, it looks really good. My favorite part? When she broke out the hand-mixer turned pumice stone when it was pedicure time. I don't know why I loved it, but it craked me up. And it really got all my dead skin off the heels of my feet! Eventually, I nodded off for a few minutes because it got to be really relaxing - the music she was playing when I was there was a great Pandora station of chill dance music (think Sia and Kygo). In the end, my toes and nails looked great.

Came in today for a quick cut and blow dry, didn't have an appointment, but they helped me thank god, open slot, but during these times it's by appointment only. Covid 19 precautions, which is great. I loved the whole experience, great service and an amazing job by Fern. Coming back for sure, now that I've moved right around the way. I got the super great deal of a cut and blow dry for 45 bucks! Love this place! Ferdinando is definitely the best. His is a master colorist and a very accomplished hairdresser. The service is very friendly and unless they are too busy tends to be fast. I used to go to a very fancy salon in the Brickell area for more than 10 years and as their service got worse the princes kept going up. I was pretty terrified about trying someone new and after the first visit I fell in love with Fer. Their prices are also very affordable! read more

Everytime I cut my hair here I leave super happy! I can't tell you enough how good it feels to know that when you tell you're stylist what you want he gives you exactly what YOU want and not what THEY want! I always go and tell him exactly this "I want long layers and I want my hair to still look long" and somehow he makes it look even longer then what it did before! He is amazing! read more

I have an AirTouch technique in my hair, and since the salon does not offer AirTouch services, I wanted to confirm in advance that we could achieve a similar look using balayage or highlights. I was assured we could proceed. At the appointment, I waited a bit (which I understand happens in Miami). Once seated, the stylist examined my hair carefully and suggested doing a half head of highlights first to see how my fine, chemically damaged hair would react. I appreciated the caution and explained my previous negative experience with another stylist. When I left the salon, I was happy. The result wasn't identical to my inspiration photos, but I felt good about it. However, after washing my hair once, I noticed obvious orange foil spots and poorly blended areas near my ears. I immediately contacted the salon, and to their credit, they accommodated me the next day for a correction. Unfortunately, the solution offered was to darken my roots to cover the orange spots. This left me questioning why I paid $450 to lighten my roots, only to have them darkened again. Now, just a little over two weeks later, my hair already looks grown out because of the darker roots. For the price point and reputation of this salon, I expected better execution and a longer-lasting result. I truly wanted to love the experience, but overall, I'm very disappointed.

Manolo Grove in coconut grove, it's a small studio with that at home feel. With only 3 chairs for clients to have hair cut in, you feel safe and appropriately distanced. They are staying safe for covid and wearing masks and wiping down the chairs and everything in between clients. Carlos is INCREDIBLE. My highlights are absolutely flawless and the cut is to perfection. Appointment only and having a few hours for each appointment allows Carlos to focus on just you for as much time as needed until you're satisfied. I used the Groupon which was a great deal! Downsides: They don't accept credit card. Only Venmo and Zelle Parking: with construction and everything in coconut grove, it is really difficult to find parking. The closest VISIBLE garage Mayfair Garage is $18 for three hours and I went on a week day. It is REALLY hard to find. Better to google Venues in the Grove or the Blonde Tulip, which are across the street from the plaza in which Manolo is located. You go to the bottom floor, and it's in Suite 10. And a tip is that the closest garage is actually next to the Blonde Tulip (unsure the price) Because of the difficulty finding the place and parking, I give it 4 stars. But if it were just about the service and hairstylist, it would get a full five. Will definitely be returning to Carlos!!
