Writing this review as a reminder to myself not to go back. Before the pandemic I occasionally would go to this place for a quick mani pedi as it was in a convenient shopping center with my cvs and ups store. I was never impressed with the quality and you couldn't count on the wait not being long for walkins so I would never choose this place for special occasions or anything. Cut to yesterday when I was in the area and my nails were in the need of attention and I had a spare hour. I figured I would give it another try. I was super unimpressed with their polish selection. They had barely any pinks on the wall! And when the lady gave me my manicure she ripped off a chunk of my cuticle. Ouch! Shame on my for not saying anything but when I get manicures I become like Ariel and lose my voice often. Not sure how long my nails will last. Ive never had a problem in this salon and ive been coming here for about 6 years. Ive done acrylics 3 times and each time I did them with lee and it was amazing. He's super nice and very attentive and a perfectionist. My mom has been coming here for about 15 years and she's never had a problem either. I usually have my go to lady's but when they aren't available I wait for the next one and ive never been disappointed. Everyone here is super nice and they all do an amazing job. The lady (whose name I sadly don't know) that did my nails seemed as if she was in a hurry so she left my nails all bumpy and with like tiny hairs from the towel she was using to dry them, she also didn't file them good and left some uneven. THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE! While I was in the chair during the pedicure, the lady took 15 minutes gossiping with her friend before she started. I politely asked her how long she would take on the nails, and she said "how long do you have?". I'm so done with the place at this point that I don't care and move onto the manicure. During the manicure, she cuts my cuticles and 3 of them start to bleed. The entire manicure she isn't even looking at my nails!!! She's talking to her friends! When she filed my nails, I thought my nails would catch on fire cause of how fast and rough she was going. While I had my hands in the water, she yelled at me to stop moving the hand that was in the water cause if not nothing would hydrate???? My nails came out so crooked and awful. $17 was not worth it. I should've bought a nice $14 nail polish and done it myself. At one point, the ladies were yelling their asses off about random stuff. Yelling to the point that my head was about to burst. I came here with my sister as we were having a girls day and from the get this was a bad experience. First, I asked if we could sit together for the pedi... "cant, too busy" 80% of the chairs were empty. Secondly, absolutely 0% customer service. My nail tech was on the phone with her sister the whole time trying to figure out their phone plan. Third, our nails look like shit. My gel manicure chipped the next day and the day after that half of my nail peeled off. One of my sister's acrylic nails fell off the next day and within 3 days three of her nails had come off. Where in the world have you heard of these tough ass acrylics, literally falling off the nail, they were bumpy af and uneven. LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT COMPLAINT!!!!!!!!! The male Asian nail tech named Danny/Dani is a predator. Since only the Asian people are able to do acrylics, my 16 year old underaged sister sat with him. This used to be my go to salon and now its not. Gel pedicure is the only thing that will last and be worth it depending on who does it. I would only recommend men to go for a basic mani n pedi because that is the only thing that's worth it because only clear polish is involved. Anything else.. dont waste your time. I've gotten acrylic and the shaping was horrible. Gel polish does not last as long as it should. It will either be too thick and the polish will come off whole or its too thin and the polish will start chipping. My acrylic set was supposed to be almond and it looked round to be honest. Then i recently did dip (the pictures), with a gel top coat, which usually lasts 3 weeks, and it was a complete fail. I really used to love VN nails but it is very overpriced for bad quality work.... I'm blessed to have a strong daughter, who is confident in herself. Her story is as follows: Girls had no school, so another parent took the girls to do their nails here. before i start, i want to make sure anyone considering going here reads this, THIS SALON USES MMA!!! when i got my nails done for prom (acrylic), they were a last minute decisions so i had to go with a walk in salon. upon being cut multiple times, being trash talked, having an extremely rude woman for my pedicure, etc. i had a feeling that i was not welcome in that salon at all. a few weeks later i tried taking them off myself with acetone and low and behold, the acrylic powder became goopy and was almost impossible to take off. there were also rings of fire on my nail beds. that set damaged my nails BEYOND belief and my nails haven't grown back properly since and are now thin and brittle. I'm leaving a 1 Star review because I went this week and the employee cut my cuticle, and handled it so poorly - no apology, ignored it until I asked her to put alcohol on it even though it was clearly bleeding, and she went on to put a blue liquid stypic "stop bleeding" drop on the cut and she touched the tip of the dropper to the cut - totally unsanitary. She should have been trained properly on how to handle this situation. Two days later and I still have blood caked on the nail bed.
