I decided to change to Progressive for 1/4 what Freeway charged and when I called to cancel they refused me a refund and hung up on me. When I called back they wouldn't answer. I am pleased with Freeway Insurance, Decatur & Sahara so far. I went here because I got an acceptable online quote from a major carrier; being old fashioned I chose to go to an office to get coverage. As an Agent of my quoted carrier, I knew there would be a fee in addition to the premium. It wasn't excessive, but applying directly with the carrier over phone or online would negate that cost all together; I decided to pursue that course. However, the CSR helping me, Claudia F. asked if she could try to match a different carrier with lower premiums. I have never dealt with a large discount brokerage in over 30 years covered driving. This licensed agent took on the task of talking me out of a lower rate I was about to go home and get, I probably appeared angry(my anger was regarding something unrelated to Insurance) after populating my data, Claudia quickly quoted an acceptable rate lower than I had been paying for years. That was a month ago. Unfortunately, the carrier may not work out for me, if not, the office says they will try another for me, my choice. I have now dealt with Miguel and found he was eager to help. I can see the office manager hires team players that want to help clients. I am glad I chose Freeway Insurance. read more

I usually have a decent experience at this location, but recently had the most BIZARRE interaction with the manager, RICO here. I went in on November 14, made a payment partially in cash, and partially with card (or so I thought ) for a new car which I had just insured with freeway. Well, a couple days pass and I notice nothing has been charged to my card, even though I had specifically asked for this. So I call the office, multiple times and they confirm the payment has been made and my policy is fine. WELLLLL fast forward FIVE days, and I receive a call from the manager, Rico, telling me that her employee has made a mistake and processed the entire transaction in cash (mind you, it was MY cash) lol but this lady legitimately starts trying to hustle me over the phone- telling me that if I dont give her $50 she will cancel my policy this instant. Obviously, I refused as I have a receipt showing I paid the full amount, so I told her no and hung up on her. Well at this point I called the corporate number and they confirmed that my payment was received in full and that my policy was active. So it turns out this "manager" was literally calling me and threatening me with no leg to even stand on. I legitimately feel like she tried to "doup" me, and this is someone in charge? Unfortunately a couple of speeding tickets has narrowed down my insurance options, but I will be putting all of my time and energy into finding a better insurance company. And if corporate takes the time to read this, or call me back- I hope you will investigate this manager and her phone call to me. As not only was in highly unethical, I'm also pretty sure it's illegal. read more

The absolute worst customer service ever! The offices never answer the phone and the offices that do answer make you call the one that wrote your policy. One of the service reps suggested I get in the car and drive to the office if they are not answering. Once you get to the office, there is 2 people working and a room full of people waiting to be helped. I am here now and it's 6:35 and I just heard someone tell a customer who called that they can't help them right now. My policy jumped $40 and they have no answers as to why. I spoke over the phone with an agent tonight January 9th 2017 who very reluctantly gave me the name "George" after asking twice. He was one of 2 agents working there (the other was a female) and I had asked about 3 or 4 questions regarding the quotes I was given an in a tone that expressed he doesn't care about his job and was just counting down minutes until they closed, he skipped passed the very important, and specific questions I was asking him for my own comfort. I asked him for his manager's name because they left for the day and (again, after hesitation and asking twice) he gave me the name "Rica?" and I asked how he spelled her name and he said "I don't know." After this point I expressed my concern and dissatisfaction to him about the service he was giving me in a calm, respectful demeanor (because I get it... I've worked in customer service for a while) and SERIOUSLY his unapologetic response was "Well, yeah this is what I can do for you. Do you want me to set it up or do you want to call around?" Not even STILL at that point answering the questions I was asking regarding processing fee, a policy breakdown, and an upselling price switch he was trying to do after running the report with an entirely different company. I seriously do hope the management of this branch actually looks at these and makes an effort to explain why they would trust the reputation of their branch to a kid that struggles to be both attentive and respectful without their supervision. Spoke to a women name Rita which was the manager with no help at all that wanted to add me to a different company and back date my policy with a different company and still charge me more to so. She wanted to put me on a other insurance company which was about 30 less then my full coverage. Due to this COVID going around and people not working I think this company should be willing to help out more with a payment not going through and rather then sending a mail they should call. These jokers are CROOKS! I REPEAT CROOKS!!! I've been dealing with them for over a year it stops today. I go in to pay my payment. Now keep in mind i started with them about February or march of 2017 Nevada Direct cheapest my 2013 scion can get apparently a rip off of $204 monthly payment so i do this because it's convenient between my home & job. Just prior to a year it goes up to monthly $220 I'm told Nevada changes it's laws & it will increase from time to time. I'm aggravated but accept it. Now another 3 months pass oh monthly is now $234 & did you move the company says mail has been getting returned. Yes i did move i spoke to two different individuals one who is Sergio the other can't remember her name. I'm also asked do i still have a California drivers license? No i don't i have a Nevada Licence that's why I'm dealing with you guys in the 1st place!!! I'm furious!!! I've given my Nevada license to them more than twice they made there copies input it in the system they say. & Now Today i have my license again but i moved a half block down from where i use to live seriously i went from one side of desert inn street to the other side less than a 5 min walk let alone drive. Get this they NOW want my MONTHLY to be $300 are you Serious? I got into an argument walked out i refuse to be taken advantage of that is ridiculous. You say you're the cheapest in town you're clearly Not! Sergio has all these awards on his desk for i don't know what? Because clearly none of my info was ever put in. First of all they are very pushy and try to rush you into a decision about buying a policy. Secondly they flat out lied to me about my policy provisions and auto pay. I never received my bill on time but within a week of the payment being past due they make sure you get a cancellation notice. I called customer service and verified my information and still didn't get a timely bill. They also did not report my coverage start date to my prior insurance company or DMV. I could never register my account online or view my policy details. I finally had enough and after only a few months I have purchased another policy with a better well known company that actually provides descent services. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more
