In October, our mother was diagnosed with cancer and we anticipated that she wouldn't be able to sit with us in December. Jal met me at Mom's care facility, and got great photos of her, despite her discomfort, to be photo-shopped into the family photo after our sitting. He did the same for a 4 gen photo with me, my son and his daughter. He did marvelous work!!! Little ones are rarely easy to photograph, but despite a toddler on either side of the sitting, he popped off some great family shots. Mom passed, even before we got to see the proofs, and for me his photo-shop work to produce a complete family portrait, brought me some closure. He listened to me when I said I wanted an outdoor photoshoot, which isn't your standard Realtor head-shot, and scouted out a perfect location. Once we were there, he made me feel comfortable from the get-go, cracking jokes and carrying on conversation which made it feel less stiff and awkward. (I don't know about anyone else, but sometimes getting your picture taken can feel awkward. Haha) We walked around the park for probably an hour stopping along the way to get different shots, backgrounds, etc. and he couldn't have picked a better location. I'm very happy with all of my photos. The way he captured my natural smiles/laughter made it seem almost candid, which was the look I was going for.
