I worked with Joie as my photographer for my bridal shower this summer and she was amazing! She is extremely professional, and responded to my questions very quickly. The day-of she did a great job. She arrived early and got so many photos of the decorations and details, many that I was too busy to notice that day. It was so nice seeing all of the decorations and details that my bridal party worked so hard on in the photos. She took lots of family and group shots, and was able to keep up with my large family. Joie was the photographer at our August wedding. I honestly think an amateur photographer could have produced the same quality of pictures. From what I can tell, no editing was done with our pictures. I had asked her in our initial phone call if she edits the pictures. She reassured me that she does. I think not! One 'small' thing that Really irritated me is that in All of my pictures, my necklace is crooked. I know it may see like a minor detail, but every time I see my wedding pictures, I somewhat grimace at his minor oversight. Seems like it's just me (no other reviews - on other sites, state bad communication), but the communication / response from Joie with me was frightening. So much so, that I feared that she wasn't going to show up on my wedding day (the coordinator at the venue had a back up photographer, on speed dial for me). The venue is fairly new (less than 1 yr old) and my spidey senses told me that she was trying to get her 'foot in the door'. She took a million pictures of the decorated, but empty, ballroom. I really wish she had taken more pictures of the bride and groom with guests. Our contract stated no more than 4 weeks to get our wedding pictures...it was more like 5-6 weeks. Ugh! Don't get me wrong, we have a few (less than a dozen) really nice pictures, but overall I was highly disappointed. read more

When we came across Joie in March while we were at the early stages of our wedding planning, we found with our phone conversation with her a lot of warmth in her voice and just how easy she was to get along with. She had great questions for us which I found very impressive! When we met for the first time to tour our chosen venue, I was so impressed again with how she took the reins and made great suggestions on where we could take pics. I could tell she was quick on her feet and it only cemented my confidence in hiring her. Come wedding day, she continued to impress us with her being able to capture all of the right moments and also coordinate with the other vendors and make quick last minute changes.
