Des bisous partout, French Embassy. I had the distinct pleasure of attending a nifty little mixer at the French Embassy last night, and if you'd have asked me the top 500 locations I'd anticipate drinking Côtes du Rhône and nibbling on artisan Brie, I promise the French Embassy wouldn't appear on that list. Ever. But hey, it's New York... you never know what adventures await at any given minute in this city. As you'd expect, the French Embassy is a beautiful, marble-laden space with more charm than a room full of Parisan bulldog puppies. I'm not sure how often they throw these little soirees, but if I ever receive another future invite, you bet your beret I'll be there in two shakes of a feather tickler. Oui!

The French consulate of New York staff is the best. Please keep the the ability to obtain the livre la famille in New York.

Hello all, Does anyone know how long does it take the Consulate to issue your visa?? I will need my passport 7 days after the appoinment, and I dont know if the consulate is that fast. Thank you!

Hello, for me It took 2 weeks because they said we r in rush time 😉.... so you have to tell them you need it sooner or show your ticket but of course it's not guarantee to issue your visa. If you need sooner change your appointment sooner. Remember…

Has anyone been able to make an appointment to the French Consulate on the vfs website appointment page?

Hi. Yes I booked an appointment for end of July but it was to late for me then I canceled that. I found an appointment in old French website around 7:15 am in end of June. If you need early appointment use old website if you have time use VFS…

How do I know that my passport is ready?

You won't know. It usually takes about 2 days. Hopefully by now you have already got yours.

Hi Guys, for the appointment ticket at the guard place, will they scan the ticket?

The guard did not scan the ticket for me when I had been there. Although that letter that you get online is important for you to gain entry to the consulate Whether or not they scan the barcode.I'm assuming that's what you're calling the ticket.

I first called…read morethe Croatian Embassy in Chicago at (312) 482-9902 to inquire about the process for voting in local elections in Dubrovnik from abroad. The male representative who answered was shockingly rude. When I asked for guidance, his exact words were: "I've never had anyone ask me that question in 12 years." When I requested a follow-up after he consulted someone, he bluntly said he had no time to waste on it. I asked for his name, and he refused to provide it. Hoping for better assistance, I contacted the Croatian Embassy in Washington, D.C. A female representative answered and informed me that I could only vote in presidential elections, not local ones, from abroad. When I politely asked for her name for reference, she responded by yelling at me: "Why are you asking me for my name?! What is your name?"--in a completely unprofessional tone. I've never encountered such a lack of professionalism and courtesy, especially from representatives of a national embassy. These positions should be held by individuals who are trained to assist citizens with respect and competence. Shame on you, Croatia, for allowing such poor representation abroad.

Yelp Review 2026 #25:…read more The nearest Philippine Consulate General office to where I live is in Los Angeles. But I was in New York and had to take care of some documents so, I figured, I might as well make an appointment and do it here. I followed everything listed on their website and made sure I had everything with me to take to my appointment. They're located near Times Square. I arrived 30 minutes early and they had just opened. People were already waiting in line and I thought I picked the earliest appointment available. There were chairs but not enough. They asked me what I was there for and was directed to go to the basement. I gave them my documents and I was told I was missing a document. Like how? Why didn't you list it on your website??? After going back and forth and trying to stay calm with the man behind the counter, I just left and booked an appointment in L.A. I brought the same documents and it was approved.

The story goes like this, I have an appointment to renew my passport and gathered all the pertinent documents in my possession. Arrived at the consulate very early as i am the first appointment. I met with an alien, you know one person with two brains. My documentation was reviewed and I'm missing an ID. My ID was either lost or stolen, a NYPD police report was obtained to support the lost or stolen ID. The alien insisted that I bring an ID, which I don't have. A couple of recommendations from the alien is obtained high school ID , NBI CLEARANCE ID, BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE ETC. Essentially, I had to visit the consulate four times. and still did not get my passport. I am very frustrated with this alien. I planned to visit the country this holiday season. but i did not get passport. I WANT THIS LETTER BE GIVEN TO CONSUL GENERAL FOR HIS CONCERN. LAHAT NG SINABI SA AKIN NG ALIEN DYAN SA CONSULATE EH GINAWA KO PERO INALAT PA. RIN THIS LETTER WILL DISTRIBUTED TO ALL CONCERN MEDIA. NAKAKAHIYA KAYO
