This review is for the house only as we used it to get ready for a wedding I was in. The wedding itself was at Lord Hill Farms, just down the road. However, it is a bit confusing as they share the same address. The house was large and comfortable. There are also separate stairs so as to minimize the chances of the groom accidentally seeing the bride before he is supposed to if that is what you're into. With 5 groomsmen, the room we got ready in was a bit tight. However, there is a different room with a foosball table that can be used as well, but then you are all not in the same room, although the other room is right next door. There are ample bathrooms and showers if need be and the yard is large. That is where we played some football while waiting around and also where we took some pictures before the ceremony. read more

The venue itself is charming, but no one bothered to show up to give a tour, even after I had confirmed my appointment and called to let them know I was standing in front of the door waiting. I chose to go down the street to check out Woodland Meadow Farms and ended up booking them for my wedding. WMF is just as whimsical and they understand the importance of good customer service. read more

From the first correspondence over email to the end of our reception, our experience with French Creek Estates/Lord Hill Farms was incredible. I was sent helpful information right from the beginning, and after reviewing; we set up an appointment to tour. We visited a few different venues in the area, and none offered a setting as charming and unique as French Creek Estates. It's the little things that really make this place amazing. Lights hanging from all the trees, chandeliers everywhere (which I loved), the little Zen garden, beautiful landscaping, waterfall, and not to mention, the gorgeous old house that the bridal party gets ready in. We were able to customize many things and get exactly the wedding we had dreamed of. While you don't get a "wedding planner," the staff is great with helping you create your vision. They offer tastings, tours, meetings to go over the timeline/order of events, and then during the rehearsal and day-of there is a site coordinator who is very helpful and makes sure things are going as planned. Lord Hill Farms caters the event, and the food served during our reception was delicious. They offer a wide variety of options and competitive pricing for menu items. Our guests kept commenting on how good the food was, how nice the staff was, and how beautiful the venue is. Overall, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We know it takes a number of things to make a perfect wedding, but it happened for us and a big part of it was the excellent venue and the people there who made it possible. read more

This is the venue that we used to get ready for my wedding at Lord Hill Farms. We also had picture taken here prior to the ceremony. The grounds and outside of the house are really beautiful, so it was a perfect spot for pictures. It was an extremely convenient place to get ready (only 0.25 miles away from the venue), especially in January when snow is a potential factor! The downstairs floor of the house is really pretty, and would be a great location for a wedding or reception (our guest count was too large for this venue). The upstairs has bedrooms for the bridal party to get ready, but we found the biggest one to be a little crowded for 2 stylists and 6 ladies getting their hair and make-up done. The groomsmen loved it because there was a separate room down the hall with a foosball table where they could hang out before getting ready. There is only one bathroom upstairs, which made it a little tricky once I had my dress on and didn't want my future husband to see me (he was going back and forth to the bathroom getting ready and I was having pictures taken in various rooms upstairs). It was a convenient place to get ready and the house is very well maintained. I would definitely recommend as a wedding venue or getting ready venue! read more
