I'm telling you I have been to many venues in my lifetime, and this one might be my all time favorite. Kudos to the family run business!

With their all-inclusive offerings--catering, bar service, and even décor--they provided a detailed questionnaire that helped us visualize every aspect of our day. It truly felt like they were guiding us through the planning, not just hosting the event. The venue itself is stunning. If you've browsed their website, you already know how beautiful it is--but seeing it in person is something else. We saw our guests taking photos near the fountain and in the valley with the mountains creating the perfect summer backdrop. What really stood out, though, was the food and service. One of our aunts came over to our sweetheart table during dinner just to rave about the meal--the London Broil was perfectly tender, and the salmon was flavorful (and most importantly, not dry). They even made sure our vegetarian guests were well taken care of, which we deeply appreciated. Since most of our décor was DIY, we were a bit anxious about setup while still trying to stay relaxed on the big day. LHF made it easy. They had linens ready early and guided our families on where to place everything. The floor managers even stopped by while we were getting ready to introduce themselves and let us know they were available for anything we needed. I knew right away she had fallen in love with Lord Hill Farms (LHF). And this was just us entering the reception hall. LHF properties and gardens are nothing short of exquisite. Walking thru the grounds it almost feels like Tuscan gardens. Views of the cascades. Small lakes and water fountains. The grass is beautifully green and the outdoor ceremony location has a beautiful spot over look g the lake on property and an arbor you just need to decorate. The building has a very well maintained and sexy masculine grooms room. With a. At broom on that side to keep him away from the bride. The brides room is bright and elegant with gigantic mirrors & great lighting for the ladies to get their hair and make up done. The reception are has several cozy "loungey" areas for you to sit and chat. One has a fireplace too. The bar is ample and nice but also not in your face so it doesn't take away from the venue or decor. They have chandeliers and twinkle lights already available and beautiful white drapery that makes this venue both magical and elegant at the same time. The indoor ceremony location is very nice. One of the benefits of this being ur is it can accommodate a large even. We expected 300. So when you enter the space you have beautiful pillars available to you, gold chevalier chairs lining the ceremony hall and a beautiful walk way to the stage. We rented and added the white drapes for the big reveal of the bride entering and it just made the space dreamy. The windows allow for a nice view of the outdoor grounds. The one caveat: make note of the sunset time and where the sun will be at the time of your ceremony. It was back lit so very difficult to see the bride, groom, wedding party and their faces as they were silhouetted. That was one big negative. We didn't know so we're t able to rent lighting or prep our photographer to prepare. Still waiting on pics, so hopeful that she was still able to shoot well given the challenging lighting situation. We did chose to have an indoor wedding ceremony because may is generally cold and wet. Who knew we had the most beautiful weather. The other nice thing is the venue does have audio equipment for both ceremony and reception hall. Food: with a large wedding event we went with their pasta bar. This is not basic. The chef honestly prepares a very flavorful well presented pasta bar. I am a total foodie and was expecting basic at the food tasting but it was far from that. In fact the food rating made us feel so special. The team at LHF do not leave any details out so you feel like you're popping in on someone's event. Everything from appetizers to dessert and wine. One miss is we had many gluten free guests and the team forgot to put a sign out for GF guests to request their plate so there was some confusion for many of those guests. So that was a call out I made note for the venue. It would have minimized confusion and hurt feelings. The reception hall: round and rectangular tables are available. They'll help work a nice floor plan for you. There is plenty of great lighting. A nice set up for dessert, coffee and tea, bar, DJ and areas for Photo Booth etc. we used round tables. Which also have the hood chavalier seats. When we arrived for set up, all our tables were ready for us to set up. They had white linens and silverware in pace. We opted to bring our own napkins, runners and did our own decor and it was beautiful! One note: they've change policies on lot candle/tapers, even if they are dripless. Unfortunately, we didn't find out until the day of. Which means I now have several hundred new and very expensive dripless candles I can't send back. So get yourself battery operated or candles that are IN. Container that covers the tip of the candle. I understand why, and tracy was kind enough to explain what had happened a couple weeks earlier. Unfortunately it's one bad experience that messes it up for the others. So keep that in mind if you want actual kit candles hey a full container for each one so you can have the candle lit vibe. Staff. In General the staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. We had a couple little hiccups w a couple of their younger staff. But hole it up to youth and new work experience. Tracy and team were very receptive to the feedback. Pricing. Very reasonable for a full service. A venue that runs you 6k is not apples to apples. Be careful as you compare what you get. Just something neutral, classy, and easy to work with my vision for my wedding. Apparently I was asking too much, because every other typical wedding site was $3000+ to rent, required you to use their vendors (boooo), had hideous carpet or tapestries, or their coordinators liked to ignore me. Then, in a final search of desperation, I found a link to Great Hall at Green Lake. It was meant to be. Nelda was super prompt in responding to me (major cookies and points here), friendly, and didn't just want to throw numbers at me. My fiance and I scheduled a tour of the place and Nelda showed us every nook and cranny, and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. Very reasonable rental prices (in comparison to all the other wedding venues out there) and Nelda is very up-front about any optional/additional costs. I am not a bridezilla, but I do expect a professional attitude and level of interest from someone acting as a vendor on one of the most important days of my life, and I am happy to say that thus far, the communication process and tour of the space has been perfect; I cannot wait to have my wedding here next spring, and I will surely return with another review.

We initially wanted an outdoor wedding but being in Seattle, that was too much of a risk to take even in the month of August. We were initially concerned that it would be too hot and that we would need to rent air conditioners but it was pretty cool outside that day so we did not need to. They also had some large portable fans on the stage if needed but we did not need them on our wedding day. The staff was very hands-off. We scheduled a tour twice and sometimes it seemed like they were not expecting us. I think it was because someone was on their way out of the job and some things needed to be communicated. They were very flexible about letting us come in to look at the place for a second time with our wedding coordinator and set out chairs and tables to see what it would be like, they basically left us alone and said we could leave whenever we were finished. They have one larger room upstairs to be used as a bridal suite, and then one smaller room downstairs that seemed too small to be a second bridal suite. I ended up letting the groom/groomsmen get ready in the main, larger bridal suite, then us ladies got ready at my friend's house, and then we told the guys to leave when we were on our way and that worked out pretty well. I had about 120ish people at my wedding and it was pretty tight when the tables were out, like my husband and I could barely walk across to get to our table and people had to stand and scoot in. During there ceremony, it was perfectly fine. The main thing that was an issue for me is that they do not have a dumpster that we could use and expected us to haul our own trash out after the wedding reception. They charged quite a lot of money if we were to leave trash for them to dispose of. I think that was the most stressful part, and they also said that we can't dump garbage in the neighboring dumpsters. This was the only reason for me taking off one star. Otherwise, I loved this venue for my wedding!

I didn't notice if it has an elevator or not. The keynote was on a Thursday night at 6pm and there was plenty of parking around the area when I arrived at 5pm.

There are also separate stairs so as to minimize the chances of the groom accidentally seeing the bride before he is supposed to if that is what you're into. With 5 groomsmen, the room we got ready in was a bit tight. However, there is a different room with a foosball table that can be used as well, but then you are all not in the same room, although the other room is right next door. There are ample bathrooms and showers if need be and the yard is large. That is where we played some football while waiting around and also where we took some pictures before the ceremony.

Weddings in Woodinville is a really fun wedding show. You should trust me because I've been there…read morethree times! It takes place every year on the last Sunday in January. The regular tickets for 2019 were $50 each, but they also had early bird tickets for $40. This event always sells out, so buy your tickets early! For 2019 they chose seven venues in Woodinville: Chateau Lill, Columbia Winery, Hollywood Schoolhouse, JM Cellars, Novelty Hill Januik, Willows Lodge, and The Woodhouse Wine Estates. They also featured seven different wedding planners. Basically, each planner coordinates a "wedding" at their venue. Each place has a theme, wedding colors, flowers, a DJ or live entertainment, a photobooth, a caterer, and a dessert vendor. They also have other things like wedding dresses, menswear, hair/makeup artists, jewelry, etc. Since the entire place is fully decorated, you feel the ambiance of a real wedding. All of the vendors involved will be on site, so you can talk to them in person. At the beginning of the event, you park at The Woodhouse Wine Estates. Registration takes place inside a big tent in the parking lot. You can register anytime between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, but the actual tour takes place between 12 PM and 5 PM. You will get a large burlap tote bag to hold your stuff and a small notepad to take notes. Since there are seven different venues, they provide luxury shuttles as transportation (Butler Seattle). The shuttles are very comfortable (you can stand up in them!) and the drivers are really nice. Each one holds about 20 people and they run every few minutes. You can stay at each place as long (or as little) as you like, but they recommend spending at least 30 minutes at each location. Weddings in Woodinville is a like a real life Pinterest board! You will definitely get some cool wedding inspo by attending this event. Plus, it is incredibly valuable to talk to the vendors in person instead of e-mailing them questions back and forth. It is so much better to see their work in real life, instead of just looking at pictures on their website. This event feels unique every year because they get different wedding planners each time. They usually show a variety of wedding styles and have vendors for all types of budgets. Even though this event takes place in Woodinville, most of the vendors involved will do weddings all over the Pacific Northwest. Lastly, you get plenty of delicious free food here (appetizers, wine, desserts), so it is impossible to leave hungry. :-)

The set-up before booking the locale, dress, food anything was $40k! No wonder it looks great.

Peter and Karen were a joy to work with; they were excellent, quick communicators. As far as wedding/reception venues go in Seattle, this one was really well priced. Loved that tables/chairs/dishes/flatware were included in the price. The only things that may present slight issues are that there is no parking onsite (although lots of parking options close-by), and that the space is maxed out at 160 guests. We had 115 and I think it'd be too crowded to go much higher than that. There's also no elevator for older folks, but there's not too many stairs and they aren't very steep.

Rebecca found not just one, but two properties that I was seriously interested in buying and would have suited my needs fabulously. I was content to buy either of the great properties we found outside the city that fit in my buying budget. However, I actually ended up with a better deal for my personal needs with a long term condo rental literally in my very favorite area of West Seattle on Alki Beach. For my specific personal circumstances, and how much I absolutely love living in West Seattle, this actually ended up being the most perfect solution I could have dreamed up.
