Louann and her staff at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel made our New Orleans wedding dream a dream come true! We purchased the Elopement Package, which included the minister (Louann,) a wedding cake, engraved champagne glasses with a bottle of champagne, a harpist, a photographer, and a 30-min horse and carriage ride after the ceremony. The glasses are gorgeous- gold-plated with our names engraved in script. The photographer was very helpful and assisted us creatively throughout the ceremony. Our cake was divine- we ordered a two-tier, white almond cake with amaretto filling as we learned that it was a traditionally southern wedding cake flavor and we had it delivered to a local restaurant, Broussard's, for no extra charge. Our horse & carriage ride was romantic and fun, and it drove us through most of the French Quarter where alot of the public yelled their Congratulations wishes at us. Louann herself was a dream! She allowed us to communicate with her throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding and was very helpful with our many questions along the way. On the day of, the ceremony she delivered was flawless and romantic and she was very helpful throughout the visit, leading us through the necessary paperwork (she will even file the paperwork for you after the ceremony if you so choose.) Overall, we absolutely loved our little ceremony at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick getaway to a romantic and festive place! Cheers to you Louann!

We were part of a large group of friends who were meeting up in New Orleans for the 40th birthday of a very dear friend. Well, we were all doing a Ghost Tour together on Friday night. (Very fun, btw) The birthday girl surprised everyone by having it prearranged as a surprise at the end of the Ghost Tour to get married! It was a very special and memorable moment to be able to witness. This wedding took place at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel! So my review is from the standpoint of a guest of a ceremony here. The place is small and quaint with a ton of personality! The Reverend is a naturally gifted speaker and his humor and charm only added to the whole thing. The ceremony was beautifully done. There were laughs. There were tears. It was very memorable. There is no way I could give this place anything less than 5 stars. Very well done! 5 stars.

the woman who married us was amazing! we couldn't have asked for a better ceremony .

BEST place to get married in the quarter! We decided a month before our two year anniversary to get married. We met with Lou Ann, Reverend Tony's wife and booked the date. SO affordable and easy! My boyfriend (now husband) and I live near New Orleans so we were able to get all the paperwork ourselves. We followed Rev. Tony's advice and brought exact change to get our marriage license. Thank goodness he told us that they don't give you change back! Our wedding day, November 18, 2014, was amazing. We had the perfect ceremony and my friend and photographer, Angela, took so many pictures! If you are looking for a venue to have a small wedding, this is the perfect place!

Oh boy where do I began! Rev. Tony married my husband and I about a week ago and we were certainly blown away! First off the chapel is absolutely GORGEOUS. Beautiful antiques surround you and the dollar bills of loved ones before you decorate the ceiling; it is definitely a place of love. This is one reason we did decide to be married here, every chapel here in California apparently doesn't believe in decorations. Rev Tony and his crew were definitely a cut above as well. I didn't feel like this was just another wedding to them. The violinist is wonderful and we really enjoyed the counseling that was given to us and the time they took even to interact with our family members and posing us for photos. So if you have any doubts- don't, just do it! Be married in the city of dreams by these wonderful people!! I will definitely be back to visit!

    It's official!!!

The chapel is very sweet. It is perfect for your New Orleans wedding. Reverend Tony and his wife are wonderful to work with. Timothy, our violinist did a beautiful job for our wedding. The chapel is adorned with gorgeous hanging antique oil lamps and leaded glass windows. It is large enough for a small wedding party. Our favorite part of the ceremony was the time Reverend Tony took to counsel us. We have been together for over three years and it never hurts to get a little reminder to communicate, put each other first, to love and cherish each other. We both shed a couple of tears.

Room for guests and beautiful scenery. Many oil lamps and dollar bills with every couples names on them.

Eric and I decided to elope on Halloween in New Orleans. I loved eloping but it is scary doing it alone. Rev. Tony and his wife gave use the beautiful wedding we needed with a violinist, champagne, wedding cake and beautiful service. It exceeded my expectations and was perfect for our special day!

We had an amazing experience with booking our wedding with Reverend Tony! We absolutely love the character of the venue and it was perfect for our small ceremony. Tony and his wife answered all of our questions and made sure our guests were comfortable and even entertained when we had to wait on a few of our guests to arrive. We booked a Second Line through them as well and Tony even followed in the parade to ensure all went according to plan. They truly took care of everything, we would definitely recommend using French Quarter Wedding Chapel!

    Our wedding 7/2/19

We went to the French Quarter Wedding Chapel all the way from Illinois to get married on July 2nd 2019. The ceremony was beautiful. Reverend Tony was fantastic. The chapel was amazing. I am recommending the French Quarter Wedding Chapel to everyone.

Reverend Tony is the kindest sweetest man! The ceremony was everything we wanted. A tad unorthodox but so very new orleans.

Beautiful dollar bill and oil lamp ceiling.

What is the maximum amount of guests that can attend one wedding?

Under the "pictures" portion of "Amenities," it says a max of 30 guests. Children DO count as guests and it needs to be 1 adult per child. Hope this helps.

When she arrived, it quickly became clear that she was not prepared. She didn't seem to know whether we wanted a civil or religious ceremony, despite having discussed this multiple times before the wedding. She also had no SD card, even though our package specifically included photos and a video recording. Because of her condition and lack of preparation, we made the difficult decision to have a friend officiate instead. After the wedding, we reached out to discuss a refund, since Samantha did not perform the ceremony, take photos, or provide video as contracted. She refused, saying she could have done the work using a Google link for photos -- something she never mentioned on the day of the event. The website and package we booked clearly stated that photos would be taken with her camera and uploaded from the SD card. Overall, our experience felt impersonal and unprofessional. It seemed like she hadn't reviewed the personal information we provided about our relationship, and the interaction felt more like an assembly line than a meaningful service. We would not recommend this vendor to couples seeking a reliable, prepared, and professional officiant for their wedding.

We had a VERY small wedding of 23 people but I thought it would be helpful to have an extra hand to keep track of time and set up my decor so my family and I could be in the moment and enjoy the day. In the months prior, I corresponded with one of Kristi's employees, Katherine. I thought we had a good working relationship and we were all set for the big day. The day of, Katherine surprised me with the new responsibility of finding someone to transport my ONE medium sized box and wedding sign to the ceremony and reception site that were five minutes from my hotel. They had a car but refused to take my things even though the scope of practice document outlined that they were responsible for transporting decor to the site. The ceremony setup was a nightmare. Katherine kept the rain plan tents even though it was sunny and beautiful out. The chairs were set up flat and 2 in a row, even though my seating chart had them angled and four in a row. Katherine never sent me a picture of the site for accuracy so the first time I saw it I was walking down the aisle. They also forgot items and only halfway set up our easel for our sign. For the ceremony, we had agreed the officiant would walk out with my husband. We were confused to see her standing at the altar before the ceremony started so we asked Katherine if we were ready to begin. She replied with "It's kind of just whenever" and proceeded to not cue when to walk down the aisle. She refused to help fluff out my dress and fix my veil (MOH had to jump out of lineup). These responsibilites were all in the scope of practice document. At the reception, she was mostly absent. My husband and I asked for chairs at the cocktail hour as everyone else had chairs at low tables except us. She said that the venue couldn't bring us any (we found out later from the venue that she never asked). That was the last time I really saw her at the reception. She sat in the back room for almost an hour and a half and did not cue speeches, cake cutting, or even check in with us. There are multiple other ways she did not fulfill her contract that wont fit in the review. My MOH reached out the day after while I was on my honeymoon with all of these concerns. It took THREE WEEKS to even get a response. Their response was filled with falsities and accusations. Kristi claimed we had "surprise locations and responsibilities," and I was accused of not being communicative, even though I pointed out multiple times where this was all false. I combed through all my documents and emails where Katherine acted differently than the agreed upon timeline and responsibilities. I even contacted other vendors to get a full picture of the story. Kristi falsely accused my MOH of being the planner and tried to pin responsibility on her. She blamed the "tight timeline" for things that were just flat out not done. If it was so tight, why did the coordinator disappear for 90 minutes? They stated that they needed more money and extra people to complete my 23 person wedding with one box of decor. Luckily my other vendors stepped in where they failed so the day wasn't a disaster. I am sure they will respond to this review with more nonsensical excuses. Please, save your money or take your business elsewhere. I have worked in the wedding industry before and never witnessed this level of embarrassing incompetence.

I am from New Orleans but live in Austin, Tx. When we got engaged I put a post on facebook asking if anyone back home knew of a wedding planner they would recommend and a friend directed me to Vim& Verve. BEST DECISION EVER! I cannot rave enough about Andrea. She talked me down off the ledge when I called balling my eyes out saying that we were going to elope due to the extensive amount of drama from our friends and family. Andrea calmed me, told me to sleep on it for a night and talk with the groom the next morning. When I wanted to return my dress she advised me to try it on then send her a picture. When she saw the photo she suggested changing the accessories ( sash and veil) I hadnt even considered it... I found a bridal consingment shop brought the dress, veil and sash - discovered a whole new look to the dress that fit my personality better just by changing those things. I fell in love with the dress all over again. She made amazing recommendations for the caterer Laura Arrowood and photographer Jason Albus - they were budget friendly and out of this world great. Everytime we traveled to New Orleans Andrea made time to meet with us no matter how short of a trip it was. The day before the wedding weather forecast showed rain and probability of a tornado. Andrea was cool, calm and collected while I was very freaked. She calmed my nerves, we called around to rental companies and found that tents would be 700$ or more at last minute our budget didnt allow for that. Andrea jumped on the phone and made a trip to the Naval Base in Belle Chasse to rent tents for 20$ a day the day before the wedding - can you say above and beyond. When our officiant dropped out of the wedding she stepped up and said she could recommend a few people in town or she would do it herself. She helped us write an amazing ceremony and when we opted to write our own vows she proofread them and helped make tweaks so they were perfect. We have a lot of crazy family situations, she listened to all the drama and knew ahead of time what to look out for - family members that have come to blows and hadnt been in the same room for over 20 years came together and had an amazing time. It was MANDATORY that we find a venue who would allow our dogs to walk in our wedding party ( we have 6 and a pig) she gave us options fitting all of the things we asked for. Every text and email, no matter how tiny I sent her I received a response to without a lengthy wait. There is sooooo much more I could go on for days. She handled every member of our group with respect, care and happiness no matter how attitudey some of them could be. EVERY family member, wedding party member and guest loved Andrea. We received so many compliments on how fun, happy, friendly and great she was from all of our guests. She made planning a wedding from out of town a breeze. She helped my come up with meanings for our cake pulls and found us such great deals and vendors. Every person in and at the wedding stopped us to say this was the funnest wedding with the best food, music, drinks and ceremony they had ever been to and how much they LOVED Andrea. I cant say enough how much we love Andrea and how lucky you will be, how amazing your night will go if she takes care of you and your family on your special day. Theres nothing like it. Andrea was the best thing that happened to this couple, and I can safely say we didnt just find a wedding planner. We have gained an amazing friend. She embraced us from day one and didnt make us feel like we were a paycheck or a client, she made us family. Vim & Verve is number one in our book. Andrea knows EVERYBODY in New Orleans, and they probably all owe her a favor or two. She always presented us with at least two options (many more to start with) once we narrowed down to the specific type of thing we wanted, and she was there with us for every part of the event, from joining the wedding party for breakfast the day of, to taking the guys shopping for appropriate "second-line" hats, to dancing in the second line WHILE she video-taped the whole thing...
