Wedding at Marché - Outstanding Experience As the mother of the bride and overall wedding planner, I highly recommend this venue. My daughter and her fiancé did a detailed search for just the right wedding venue to meet their needs. We booked Marché about six months in advance after visiting multiple venues, and it quickly stood out. The planning process can be tedious and tricky, but their Special Events Operations Manager, Wallace, was truly exceptional. He is the primary reason we chose Marché and, ultimately, the reason our wedding day was such a success. Why we chose Marché: * Excellent French Quarter location * Beautiful views from multiple balconies * Great layout for ceremony, dining, and dancing * Incredible, authentic New Orleans food * Excellent value for the price * Wallace's professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond What impressed us most after the wedding: * The tasting was extremely helpful in finalizing food and drink selections * We were able to customize ceremony and dining layouts to fit our vision * Time allotted for both ceremony and reception was more than adequate * Food was outstanding and widely praised by guests * Bartenders made great drinks and happily accommodated requests * Wine, liquor, and beer selections were very good * The "flip" from ceremony to dance space was executed flawlessly--fast, organized, and exactly as planned Guest feedback: * The staff welcomed our guests with enthusiasm and excitement. They made everyone feel welcome. * We received countless compliments, with many saying it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended * Guests loved the food, drinks, and smooth flow from dining to dancing Helpful recommendations: * Take full advantage of the balconies--we threw beads to guests waiting in Dutch Alley before the second line, which was a highlight * Have champagne passed as guests arrive to set a celebratory tone * Do not overdecorate the ceremony room--the chandeliers, floors, windows, and lighting are already stunning * Encourage guests to use the balconies at night; the views are amazing (our cigar bar was a big hit) * Highly recommend a second line--it creates a fantastic guest experience and allows time for reception setup * A separate "day-of" coordinator is unnecessary if you are organized--Wallace and his team handle everything seamlessly One small negative (for transparency): Our assigned salesperson was slow to respond to emails, and her in-person communication style was abrupt. However, this did not impact the success of our wedding and should not discourage anyone from choosing Marché. Overall, Creole Cuisine Company and its employees are consistently professional and hospitable at all levels of leadership and staff. Planning tip: Carefully review the food and beverage brochure and ask detailed pricing questions. We created a spreadsheet to track costs and maximize value. Be sure to ask about reduced pricing for minors and vendors. Final note: Wallace is a true gem--kind, positive, respectful, and incredibly attentive. Because of his leadership, the entire team operates at the highest level. Not a single guest needed anything all night, and the bride and groom were truly taken care of. On June 21, 2025, Monica toured Broussard's and Marche with my wife, our son, and his fiancée. We all enjoyed meeting Monica who was kind and personable. This venue held special meaning for us, as my wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here in 1994 when it was known as Bella Luna. We were excited about the possibility of celebrating another milestone here during French Quarter Fest weekend next year. During the tour, Monica informed us that the couple who had previously booked that date had just released it due to the festival conflict -- and that we were now first in line. She stated clearly, in front of all four of us, that we would have a 48-hour right of first refusal if anyone else inquired about the date. She also said the venue had held weddings during FQF in the past, and although they didn't host one this year (2025), there was no indication that it wouldn't be possible for 2026. We asked follow-up questions about vendor access (band and florist) that day and have a three-week email chain (including phone and voicemail records) showing our ongoing communications. Despite that, and after repeated attempts to get confirmation, we finally received an email on Monday, July 14 -- more than three weeks later -- informing us the date was no longer available. Monica had apparently allowed someone else to book it. When we called her, her response was, "You don't have anything in writing that I promised you that date," a line she repeated more than once. The real disappointment isn't just losing the venue -- it's the lack of professionalism and courtesy in how the situation was handled. Had Monica communicated more openly or honestly, we wouldn't have lost three critical weeks during peak wedding season. We are now struggling to find an acceptable alternative under significant time pressure. This experience has left us deeply frustrated and disheartened, especially given our personal history with this location. We hope Management, Steven Lewy, at Creole Cuisine takes steps to improve transparency and communication with future clients -- no couple planning a wedding deserves to be treated this way. read more

I recently traveled to New Orleans and visited Marché for my lovely cousin's wedding. I was rather impressed with this event space. From the high ceilings, to the amber colored chandeliers, and the wonderful scenic view of the Mississippi River. This charming two room space included a courtyard of sorts, where we were able to unwind during the cocktail hour. The uplighting and columns gave the room that extra boost of class. The staff here was absolutely wonderful! So attentive and oh so helpful! Such a pleasure to be around. I never had to worry about an empty glass or a dirty dish, because it was always taken care of by a staff member! The food was hit or miss, but mostly a miss. We were served a few New Orleans staples, Jambalaya and a Duck dish, and several other dishes, but I can't say I was impressed with anything I ate. Since this is a 2-level venue, an elevator is provided for those that can't or just don't want to take the steps. A big bar was provided in the main area where the dinning tables were located, as well as a smaller bar in the room where the dancing took place. The seat cushions on the chairs could use some extra tender loving care in the cleaning department, but other than that, a very lovely venue. If you're looking for a venue for a wedding or another special occasion, I would highly recommend this location. New Orleans elegance and class! Event venue space and when private events aren't hosted here it's open during holidays for buffet meals. Open space with lot of light coming in type of dining room. The mighty Mississippi river just outside. On the second floor so you get a view slightly above street level. Staff are friendly and helpful. Servers are very detailed in observing your table and quickly fold your napkin each time you get up and remove silver ware when you head back up to the buffet. Each buffet station has someone standing behind it dishing it up for you. Better that way and less germs being spread. The turkey was good, you can ask for any kind of piece of the bird you want. Natural gravy and satsuma compote. My only negative comment is it could be warmer. Other main course option were Bronzed Gulf Fish and pork roast with pork jus. There is also Duck gumbo, shrimp bisque, salad bar, sweet potatoes, two types of green beans, squash, shrimp pasta, corn bread, baked brie trio, boiled shrimp, oysters. The boiled shrimp was quite good with cocktail sauce, horseradish and remolade. The crab fingers didn't taste that good. Four types of pie and bread pudding for dessert. Good pudding, not too sweet. Poured maple syrup on top. Option to have served with ice cream or whipped cream. Complimentary coffee included in buffet price. Staff were good handling allergy questions marking a check box on the menu for everything safe to eat. Spent three hours here, relaxing atmosphere. There was a three man band playing for a while and some guests joined in for impromptu singing. Very filling and good value. Nice variety between traditional food and new kinds. read more

One word comes to mind when describing Marché; and that word is Spectacular! As a meeting planner, my nephew and his bride turned to me for assistance when every wedding venue they looked at in New Orleans was "not quite right". They had a lot of very specific qualities they were looking for in a venue and Marché hit every single one of them perfectly. They wanted a place where they were both close to nature and also close enough to the Quarter for a rollicking second line. Marche's glorious second story setting overlooked the majestic Mississippi River through its high arched windows on one side and overlooked the French Quarter on the other side. Those gorgeous windows let in the perfect amount of sun at a sunset ceremony. We didn't even need many floral arrangements because the setting with its chandeliers, mirrors and windows was so picture perfect, it didn't require added enhancement. The second room provided enough seating at elegantly appointed tables for all to eat and mingle before going back into a the main hall which was then transformed into the dance floor with a wrap around balcony for those craving a bit of fresh air and night sky between dances. The bridal party room was also luxurious and comfortable for our bride and groom to have some quiet time before the ceremony and before rejoining the festivities at the reception. The food was amazing. The service was top notch and Stephanie is a phenomenal sales person who worked to accomplish every little request we had- and we had quite a few! The guests kept complimenting the venue and the staff all night long. It's not easy to find a venue so unique, stunning and well priced in New Orleans. It's such s welcome addition to NOLA for a mid size wedding or event of about 150-170 people. I was so in love with Marche that I want to throw a party for myself there or just get married again because it's just so perfect, it was everything my nephew and his wife had in mind. It hit all the right notes and then some! I can't say enough superlatives because I had so many wedding guests ask how I found the venue and ask for referrals and want to book it themselves. It is a catering venue but becomes a restaurant on big holidays when they are open to the public with elegant holiday buffets. The place is quite lovely; with tables spaced nicely apart, clean walls, classic chandeliers and big windows overlooking the Mississippi. The venue is on the second floor with elevator access and has a patio overlooking the French Market as well as the River. The staff is young and friendly and eager to please. They seem to enjoy their jobs. The food was excellent: Prime rib, Ham, baked fish many well-made sides, terrific soups and salads and cold shrimp and crab claws and raw oysters. Desserts were rich and flavorful. Crab Benedict from the kitchen was perfect. Well-chosen soft Christmas jazz was the best possible background. Overall totally satisfying Christmas dinner. read more

5 stars for ambience! The location is beautiful! Amazing view of the river. The light fixtures are just perfect for the space. Unfortunately, the service and the food get 2 stars. We were greeted promptly. Our host was a bit sloppy in appearance; pants were at least 4 inches longer than his legs and the uniform was very worn. However, he was very nice and took us upstairs were the manager greeted us and showed us to our table. The room was stunning! There was a great jazz quartet playing around the room which added to the great atmosphere! We went for Easter brunch. $55 per person which did not include any alcohol. Tiffany was our waitress and maybe she had other tables in the other room but we did not see her often. This was a problem because we needed drinks. She did take our order but she did not return quickly. Since 3 of the 4 people at our table ordered coffee we asked for a carafe if coffee and some cream to help expedite things...well, it took a while for her to return. Then it was a hassle every time we needed it refilled. You would think she would have just refilled it when it was empty... same water and iced tea. We did not get utensils at the table so my uncle asked for a knife. Instead of just grabbing him one, she proceeded to tell us that the utensils were at each station. I got up and grabbed one for him. He asked for salt and pepper... food grew cold before she returned with the condiments. I think that these simple things should be just routine in an upscale venue.... Okay, the food. We were there at 1:30pm and unfortunately it seemed that food was running out. We went from regular size plates to small plates at every station. The oysters were fat and good! Omelette station was wonderful. The young lady making the Omelettes was so very pleasant! I did eat the French Toast although they were the frozen kind. They had scrambled eggs but they were cold. There was also cubed potatoes which were the frozen kind. The salmon was yummy; the baked fish was not. There was a ham and beef station. Ham was yummy; beef was not- full of fat and tough. Beignets were old and dry as was the bread pudding which also had way too heavy a pineapple taste. Our group had a fun time because we were just happy to be together. The space was fantastic and we enjoyed the river view! However, I would not go back. Marche' needs to up their game. The servers at the stations were very nice! Not worth the price. read more

The event held here was very nice. The interior is absolutely beautiful. From the moment you enter the building, the fixtures greet you with a feeling of luxury. Once upstairs there are large windows with views of the city from all directions, and a ton of balconies on two sides of the building with gorgeous views of the city. We were even able to watch the steam boats float up and down the river. There are two main rooms. The larger room has a long bar, and the smaller room has a stunning chandelier with floor to ceiling windows. Off the larger room is a suite that we used to relax with couches. The atmosphere seems timeless as you look at the old buildings in the French Quarter and the ships float down the river. Really enjoyed our time here - great place for events. *Parking - there is a lot behind the builiding, so you don't have to walk far to the front door if you're driving. read more

I came here for the Shutterfly book release party with Yelp and am blown away by the beauty of this space! The chandeliers and high ceilings make it feel so grand. Had a wonderful experience here for an Yelp Elite event. This building really has one of the best views of the River! At night, it is down right magical. Watch the lighted River boats drift up and down the Mighty Mississipi. A lovely balcony over looks St. Peter Street where the sounds of the French Quarter drift up to you. Marché has New Orleans class written all over it. This would be a perfect space to host an event big or small. Not to mention, their bananas foster is on point! I spent New Years Eve here, and it was truly the most memorable one I may have ever had. I live in NYC, but travel to New Orleans often for New Years and this year it was a total of 10 of us traveling. We had a table at Marche together and it was the most elegant, fun evening. We had perfect views the fireworks at midnight from the deck and all the windows. The food was exceptional (buffet and passed hors d'oeuvres) and the waitstaff all went above and beyond. Brandi, one of the waitresses is truly happy seeing others have a great time and felt our smiles were her reward - other major cities seeking solid waitstaff should clone her. This was Marche's first NYE party and I suspect this will be the hottest ticket in New Orleans in the upcoming years. read more
