I was able to book several weeks in advance and lock in a time for an outside shoot. In terms of the studio, the place is very cozy and the "dressing room" area even features R+Co Hair Products which are awesome! Jessica is an excellent photographer and the outside session has fun and nicely paced. Afterwards, we went back up to choose the ones I'd like to keep and have as final products. In under two weeks, I got the link to my gallery and I am quite happy with the array of finalized images. I highly recommend the work of Jessica and Ryan.

Not only was she focused on making sure that she took pictures of everything she thought we would want documented, but she was so open and flexible with making sure that we always got the pictures that WE wanted as well. She never once said no to taking a picture and was always willing to do what we asked. She really understands that even though her job is to document the details of the whole day, what also matters is what the couple wants documented throughout the day. She worked with us at every turn to make our day special. She always wanted to make sure that we were comfortable and on board with every idea she had that wasn't scheduled in to the day. Furthermore, she always asked our permission if she had an idea that wasn't previously discussed, and that level of kindness couldn't be replicated in another photographer. Our wedding-planning process had several unique aspects: a) enormous family size (over 300 people on the groom's side!) b) multi-cultural ceremonies -- i.e. Indian & Persian-American c) different cities -- one family wedding in Chicago. one with our close friends in San Diego. Overall, we ended up having MULTIPLE wedding ceremonies and receptions and we hired Laurelyn for all of our events, including our engagement photo shoot. Prior to the first event, we sent Laurelyn examples of the look we were hoping for, and she was spot-on! Our engagement shoot and wedding photos (for all events) looked PERFECT... they had the exact urban/rustic look we desired. Laurelyn and her assistant also did a perfect job following our timeline (making sure we took photos with everyone), but also carefully took the time to ensure that our final photo assortment had a very candid feel, and were not overly "pose-y". Laurelyn was extremely professional throughout the wedding planning process. She was super-responsive to email, and spent time to get to know us as a couple to learn our vision for our big day. She also did not charge for cross-country travel for the wedding and even brought in an extra assistant free of charge to make sure the day went by smoothly. That made me feel very safe. * The bathrooms were very nice, although I don't think they had any upstairs that I could see. * It was cool being close to the artists, upstairs is a smaller venue. Negative: * The audio was rough. There was a Lot of feedback and I felt bad for the artists (opener and headliner) as I watched them try and navigate it. One of them said something like "great new venue, right?" And someone in the crowd shouted "doodoo!" which was funny but also captured the frustration of the crowd that we couldn't fully enjoy the performance. The artist tactfully replied "we're breaking it in." It was ridiculous to see audio and staff people walking around with headsets trying to look legit with these issues going on. All of this distracted from the experience and made me angry. I wouldn't schedule as an artist for the upper venue unless I knew the audio issues were resolved.

But you can also fill out a card at your table for a made to order omelette. Or request donut holes, pancakes, waffles or chicken and waffles from the kitchen. They also have a full bar offering cocktails, bloodys and mimosas. We did wait a bit for the omelette but overall the service was great and very friendly and for the price ($20.95) we will absolutely be back!

I attended a wonderful wedding last night at the only barn wedding facility in the state. Women…read morewore dresses, skirts and pant outfits. Men wore suits, business casual and jeans. The barn was nice and clean. They have beautiful bathrooms. The wedding ceremony was at 500pm in front of the oldest hickory tree in the county. They set up 200 chairs with an aisle down the middle for the wedding party to enter. The property has a nice area to take pictures and enjoy and outdoor pre-reception. Our reception was inside the barn we ate comfortably and heard bride and groom stories, prayer, a charge from the father of the bride. Dinner was catered by Thunder Bay Grill. The wedding party DJ played nice taped music during the dinner. Dessert was a cheesecake. At the end of the reception we launched balloons with lights in them sending off in the air on a new adventure, just like the bride and groom. A beautiful night. I highly recommend this facility.

Now that we've had time to review our actual photos, we sadly have to update our initial review…read more Going into the wedding we were so excited to work with Chris. But once we really took a look at the photos, we realized we got very little of what we wanted. Before the event, Chris seemed meticulous. He met with us twice and asked detailed questions about our family trees, and we explained who the really super important guests were, aka the guests we wanted lots of photos with. Looking back at the pics, it seems like Chris either didn't hear the majority of our requests, or he heard them and was just too overwhelmed to handle them. During our meetings he stressed a few really important photos, like one with the groom's parents and the bride and groom, one with the bride's parents, photos of the elderly relatives whose presence at the event we'd want to cherish...also his personal favorite of the bridesmaids all looking one way and the bride, in focus, looking at the camera. Somehow, Chris failed at delivering those photos at a high quality - the ones he was passionate about. Most of them are unusable. Chris is definitely a nice guy, but his work quality wasn't what we were expecting, especially for a wedding that was essentially all in one building (no frantic driving across town, searching for parking, etc.). If you are looking for someone to shoot a very, very low key event or a wedding without many moving parts or complications, working with him will probably work. Anything higher stress than that I would recommend working with someone else.

I was surprised that even my older relatives were acting goofy in the photo booth. The attendants were very friendly, patient and accommodating even when some guests I'm sure were acting a little *too* crazy. We received our DVD of photos within a few days of the wedding, and Jenny was kind enough to reprint photo strips that had the bride or groom in them. Wisconsin Photo Booth Company is an undiscovered little gem among locally available photo booths. They are fabulous to work with and much more personal than a lot of the bigger companies that may turn up higher in search.
