We used Ari Rosenthal Photography for our wedding, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. We chose Erin as our photographer and she was amazing. She was always quick to respond via email, outgoing, and super efficient. We still have family members who come up to us and comment on how great she was, not only due to the quality of photos, but also because because of her personality. She is super creative, and takes a lot of great candid shots. She even got our edited photos (over 1000 pictures!) back to us less than 2 weeks after the wedding. I also liked working with this company because you aren't required to buy a big expensive package with an engagement session, photo book, etc, so this helps keep the cost down. Now that we've had time to review our actual photos, we sadly have to update our initial review. Going into the wedding we were so excited to work with Chris. But once we really took a look at the photos, we realized we got very little of what we wanted. Before the event, Chris seemed meticulous. He met with us twice and asked detailed questions about our family trees, and we explained who the really super important guests were, aka the guests we wanted lots of photos with. Looking back at the pics, it seems like Chris either didn't hear the majority of our requests, or he heard them and was just too overwhelmed to handle them. During our meetings he stressed a few really important photos, like one with the groom's parents and the bride and groom, one with the bride's parents, photos of the elderly relatives whose presence at the event we'd want to cherish...also his personal favorite of the bridesmaids all looking one way and the bride, in focus, looking at the camera. Somehow, Chris failed at delivering those photos at a high quality - the ones he was passionate about. Most of them are unusable. Chris is definitely a nice guy, but his work quality wasn't what we were expecting, especially for a wedding that was essentially all in one building (no frantic driving across town, searching for parking, etc.). If you are looking for someone to shoot a very, very low key event or a wedding without many moving parts or complications, working with him will probably work. Anything higher stress than that I would recommend working with someone else. read more

We chose Ari Rosenthal because they were a cheaper, but still high quality, place to hire for our wedding photos in November of 2009. We worked with photographer Chris Duzynski after looking through the albums for three of their photographers (samples of his work: http://ozmoses.zenfolio.com/p280189689). He did an excellent job with the wedding, 8 hours of photography from before the wedding all the way up until the reception started to die down. We just wanted the disk to print photos ourselves, although if I remember correctly you can get other special products if you wish to pay more. No hustling to make us purchase services we didn't want like I've heard about from friends and family about their various photography experiences. He will work to get you the best photos you want for your special day. We corresponded mainly by e-mail but met up with him at one point at a coffee shop to discuss what we wanted and get to know who we were. He also double checked everything so something didn't go amiss. If you are given him as a choice we highly recommend him. :) read more

My wedding was out of state and as you could imagine so much more stressful. She was my rescue. She shot my whole day and brought so much joy. This was the best decision I made. As a business owner, Ari was wonderful to work with. When we were shopping around he was not pushy, but rather informative, which was very refreshing. We were a COVID-19 wedding that had to be postponed, and Ari made that an easy process. Our photographer for the wedding was Chris Duzynski. He was wonderful. His attention to detail was very much appreciated. He made sure that in every photo all of the women were holding their flowers in the same direction and that the men all had their jackets either buttoned or opened. He made sure that everything that would annoy us later was fixed before the shot was taken. Do NOT hire this company. I wish I could give negative stars. They claim to use experienced amazing photographers but in fact they contract photographers with a horrible eye for photography, who don't listen to your requests and unable to guide anybody through a photo shoot! Erin the photographer Ari contracted for my wedding took a lot of pictures but NOT quality pictures!! In 10 hours she did not take simple immediate family pictures that I requested in advance on her requested form. Which later she claimed to never have received. I have the email to prove it. My group pictures pictures look like they were taken in a funeral home. My groomsmen hands in pictures are awkwardly hanging in most pictures. She did not instruct them how to pose. I hired Erin for 10 hours! and she did NOT get 1 great group photograph with my bridesmaids wearing their fur shawls (which were the highlight of their assemble.) Not 1 picture with all the girls eyes open, or hair flying straight up or hair covering their face. She sat around waiting for me to get ready instead of snapping pictures of my bridesmaids or photographing simple stuff like my invitation, jewelry, etc. I can go on and on here but it makes me so sad thinking about all the pictures I Idid NOT get because I hired Ari photography who failed to document my beautiful wedding properly.. We were looking for a photographer that wasn't going to make us buy albums or any additional services and Ari Rosenthal Photography was one we really liked. Their portfolios online are so beautiful but it was clear who we wanted for ours, Erin. We met with her and we immediately felt comfortable with her as our photographer. She showed us her awesome portfolio and she had a lot of experience. Not only that, she was very warm and had our sense of humor. They were running a special when we booked and got a lower price than their normal rates which was an awesome deal considering the experience of our photographer. On the day of, Erin was great, made jokes and got phenomenal photos even though it was rainy outside. She got everything we wanted and some great artistic photos that she thought of during the day that really gave us a large variety and photos we'll cherish for a lifetime. We had our wedding on a Saturday and Ari put low res. photos on a hosted site for us to view by Wednesday afternoon. It was absolutely great how quickly the turnaround was for them to put them up. We haven't gotten our DVD with all of the images on it yet, but I expect they will be very prompt with that as well (and probably earlier than I would expect). read more

My husband and I choose Ari Rosenthal Photography because we liked the fact that we would get all the photos on DVD and we could do whatever we wanted with it, without having to pay extra for albums that we may or may not have wanted at a reasonable price. We met with Dan Zaitz and we immediately fell in love with his photographs (or rather I did because I really love photography) and my husband liked him because Dan had worked on the show "Seinfield". He was very easy to work with and had good ideas on where to take photographs and worked with the ideas I had as well. Ari was very responsive from the beginning and set up all our meetings with photographers to fit in one day due to our time constraints. Our photographer Mark was awesome! He captured a lot of our wedding, especially our receiving line, w/o us even knowing and came up with several unique shots. My fiancé and I were planning on signing a contract with this company, but ultimately decided against it. Ari was clearly more concerned about the wants and needs of his photographers over the wants and needs of the bride and groom. He felt our photography time-frame specifications were outside of the norm as evidenced in a tasteless email: "Frankly, I don't think Eric or Bill would want to cover that much", in reference to the amount of coverage for the bridal party prep-time. We were met with utter rudeness and insults as he called our wedding photography decisions uneducated and "short-sighted". Having an opinion is one thing, but he clearly has a hard time articulating such things with class. Coming from someone who lived with a wedding photographer for years, there is no such thing as a "normal" wedding shoot. If you are looking for something creative or unique on your wedding day, I'd say steer clear of this place. read more
