Fresh One started out so strong, and I was the first to review with a 5-star glowing endorsement of Erika and her new business. However, the last few months have not been great. Their cleaners are hard working, yes; I would never fault the staff for trying their best under less than ideal circumstances. However, the turnover is unreal with this company now, and their longest-lasting employees only stay a year. That tells you something about how valued they feel! Furthermore, without any continuity in monthly deep cleans, I'm finding that I have to retrain a new team every month to get to know my place, and efficiency is compromised. After my last clean (with yet another brand new team), I was told they would need 4 hours to deep clean my townhouse moving forward, even though previous teams (from this company and others) all did it in 3, 3.5 max in almost 4 years since I've lived here. This was after the teams who knew our home had all quit. So now they were telling me I had to pay up more, so that their less-efficient newbie teams could learn how to clean my place. I would have even sucked it up, honestly, but with less than 24 hours before my scheduled clean tomorrow, I got a call today telling me (not asking me, TELLING ME) that they were coming at a different time and would be sending a different team than the one that we had agreed upon when I called. This was the last straw. I'd sooner pay more, elsewhere, and have a team that doesn't turn over every month or two. I'm completely disappointed and regret every single time that I recommended this company to anyone. Absolutely not. Find a place where the employees love their job enough to stick around. read more

Hired FreshOne for apartment move out cleaning and was quoted 3 hours plus an additional fee for fridge/oven cleaning. I was out of town for the clean so instructed them to call the landlord for entry. I received a call at 9 am from the cleaners to gain entry to the unit, so I asked them again to call the landlord for entry, and a phone call at 12:30 pm informing me they had finished. All fine. THEN I received my payment receipt on which had an additional 1.5 hour charge on it (which I never authorized!). I called the company, they said that the cleaners had requested to stay for extra time + a 3rd cleaner to clean faster and that the landlord had authorized this. I told him that the landlord was not the client, I was the credit card holder, and it should have been authorized by me but I never even got a phone call. My landlord denies authorizing the additional time/cleaner. I requested the company refund the full 1.5 hour charge refunded as I never authorized it, but was only offered a partial $30 refund + $15 gift card. I never received the refund or gift card and the company stopped responding to me. I would strongly recommend not using this company or, at the very least, not providing them with your credit card information before the cleaning as you will find unauthorized charges on your card! read more

Showed up an hour and 20 mins late. I received a text ath the time they were supposed to arrive saying they were 15 mins behind, over an hour later they show up after I had texted with no response asking where they were. Girl walked into my apartment with her dirty wet shoes on since it was pissing rain outside - I had to tell her to take them off - who the heck does that - so disrespectful. Although the man gave me some good tips on keeping my sofa clean - he left without going over everything he had done. Once they were gone I was putting things back together & I noticed 1 patch that still had stains that they missed. I called them and they did come back right away, except he tried to contest me and say that it was done even though it was bone dry & there were clearly stains. He was tying to avoid bringing all the equipment back in. They cleaned the patch and left without reviewing things again and without cleaning up - there was water everywhere in m,y hallway and loving room. And when I went to put the sofa back together I found 3 more areas that were bone dry that had not been cleaned. I was supposed to receive a receipt via email - did not get it I have texted twice with no response. They were fairly decent price - get what you pay for. read more

TLDR: DO NOT USE THIS CLEANER! I hired Fresh one Services to do a spring cleaning - I just needed a cleaner to wash my floors and to clean up the nooks and crannies that I might miss. Their website seems to be relatively professional, it was easy to book, and the reviews seemed to be good - I WAS WRONG! The cleaners came and did their 2 hours of cleaning while I was working remotely at a coffee shop. They texted me and said everything was done and I came back to collect my keys and they left. When I first came into my apartment, I was like OK seems to be relatively clean - until I came to the bathroom. They broke my faucet and failed to tell me. I subsequently called both the cleaner and the head office to figure out how are they going to repair the damage. They did not reply me for 2 days. The owner called me and said "sorry about that, we will have a technician come to your place and repair it in two days" . Meanwhile, I had a plumber inspect the damage just in case I needed to go through my home insurance - the quote $1050 + taxes and could be more because they might have to break through the wall to gain access for the repair since this is an older building. Two days pass, and the technician that was supposedly supposed to come - DID NOT COME. I called Fresh One Services and Emailed them several times - they GHOSTED me. Now, I am going through my insurance in order to do the repairs and they will be dealing with these guys to recuperate the costs. DO NOT USE THESE CLEANERS. read more

After comparing a couple carpet cleaning services on Yelp, Fresh One was one of the fastest to reply and offered competitive pricing. When I booked the service, they gave me a Friday 9am time slot, and told me someone will come over and clean my carpet. When 9am hits on Friday, no one showed up so I assumed the guy was stuck in traffic. At 9:15, I called the store and they said the guy was coming. Another 20 minutes went by and still no one. I called again and asked if somethings wrong because it doesn't take more than 30 minutes from downtown to Brentwood, the store assured me that the guy will come soon. At 9:42am, the store called me and told me something went wrong and another person will come on his behalf. Around 9:50, someone finally came. When the guy arrived, he took a look at my carpet and said he needed to take it to the store for cleaning because if he cleans it at my house, it will damage the floor. This was not what was discussed in the phone so I asked him to clean the carpet in my garage instead, because I did not have the time to wait for the carpet to be taken and brought back. The gentleman was very courteous/understanding and did as I requested. He cleaned the carpet very quickly and after he was done, the carpet was back to its original colour. Overall I would recommend this service to others because the job was done well, and the cleaner was very polite. Booked a cleaning service for an empty 2 bedroom apartment at 9am with emphasis on cleaning the carpets which were the 2 bedrooms. When 9:15am came I phoned to check what was up no one was here. The person on the line, assuming the boss, told me that the cleaners were finishing up another service and would be heading over in 10-20mins. After 3 or so more calls finally the cleaners show up at 10:20am... Cleaning crew enters, they apologize and say their employer told them their appointment would be at 10:30am... I show them the apartment, they say it would be about 3 hours. At this point I had to leave them and come back in 3 hours. I come in and the floors are not clean at all, hardwood or carpet. With some miscommunication the cleaners told me to speak to their boss on their phone. He says that the carpet cleaners will come in 10mins. It seems so chaotic the cleaning crew had no idea or never mentioned till the 3 hours was up that they were not equipped to clean the floors. So had to wait again and watch at the buildings parking lot, the 2 crews handing off different cleaning equipment. The initial estimate was confusing and unclear. So make sure you understand that you are paying for the cleaning hours and then additional for the deep cleaning which seems to be a separate *job* Cleaning was decent but it was a very unprofessional organization and customer service, would not use again. read more

Very unprofessional. i had an appointment for 11:30am to carpet clean my 2 bed room condo that is empty. So i came a bit early to let them in but they didnt come. i called their office around 11:50 to see where they are at. they said there a lil behind they should be there soon but would give me a time frame. So i went ahead and asked roughly how long 30 to an hour? they said about 30min. ok, so i sat in my empty house waited playing on my phone. i looked at the time it was 12:41PM. i called them again. they dont pick up so i kept calling and calling they wre ignoring my calls it feels like. I called like 13 times finally they picked up. i said hey your guys are over an hour late . he said they should be there or should be there really soon still not really giving me a ETA. im like ok so should i sit here and wait he said yea. I sat here waited ANOTHER 40 min. By now its 1:30PM so i gave up i called different carpet cleaners. Would not advise to use them if you have a tight schedule. Unless you have time to spare and and willing to wait for unkown hours... there goes 2 hours of my life i will never get back. read more

Got them to do a move out clean - they did a great job. However, the appointment was for 10am and they only arrived at 11:30am. So they were 1hr 30mins late. They did not contact me to tell me they were running late, I needed to call them twice. The last phone call was at 10:37am and they said the team would arrive in 20-30min but they arrived at 11:30. The manager was apologetic and offered the grant us a discount, but it didn't make up for the disorganisation and unprofessionalism. Thankfully we weren't due to move out until the next day but it would have been a disaster if we had to move out at a set time that day. Nothing wrong with the cleaning, cleaning was great and the cleaners were friendly and thorough. Poor customer service. The cleaners had not yet arrived at 9:30 so I called and was told they were on their way and will be there in a few minutes. Another 20 minutes goes by and I tried calling again, it went to voicemail. Haven't heard anything back. I tried a few other companies and was lucky enough to get someone on short notice. Pretty unprofessional as it wasn't clear what services was provided. Had to ask numerous times for an invoice that isn't even itemized. Paid for a thorough move out cleaning and was disappointed to find that it didn't include steam cleaning carpets, didn't clean the balcony, windows, etc. The stuff they cleaned were done well but I am now scrambling to find other companies to finish the job. Moreover, I was given a price over the phone and paid cash but somehow the invoice they finally sent me doesn't even match the price I was given or paid. We hired Fresh One Services twice, and we just tried to hire them again but we decided against it based on our past experience and our recent interactions with them. When we hired them in the past, we lived in a 2 bedroom (1 of which was used as an office), 2 bathroom (1 of which was not being used regularly), approx 740 sf condo. 1) First time we hired them was in December 2017. We had a great experience. The cleaners arrived late but they were efficient and did a great job. We hired them for 2 hours of cleaning, and even though we didn't ask them to clean our office or the 2nd bathroom, they did the master bedroom, ensuite, kitchen, and living areas really well. 2) Second time we hired them was December 2018 and it was just downright awful. Based on our previous experience hiring them, we felt like 2 hours should be sufficient to do a good basic cleaning. Well we decided to hire them for 3 hours (with 2 cleaners) because we wanted to do a deep clean, but everything went wrong. - The cleaners arrived 30 minutes late and tried to leave 30 minute early. My fiance stopped them from leaving and said they arrived late so they should stay until the time was up. - I provided a list of things I wanted done. I specified the kitchen, master bedroom, master ensuite, living areas, and I also wanted the windows and baseboards and doors wiped down. In the 3 hours, with 2 cleaners, they managed to only do the master ensuite and the master bedroom, and half of the kitchen. They missed an entire half of my kitchen and left it uncleaned. They also didn't do the windows, baseboards, or doors. I don't understand how they managed to do LESS in 3 hours than the people we hired for 2 hours were able to do the year before. - I commented about this to the owner and they said that they can give us a free 1 hour add-on to a future cleaning, and I accepted. 3) We moved earlier this year and I wanted to invite them back to clean our current place (not a move-in or move-out clean, but a regular cleaning), and I contacted them along with a few other companies. We're also looking to hire someone to do regular monthly cleaning because our new place is a little over double the size of our old place, but there's still only one kitchen so most companies quoted and said 3 hours would be enough to do the cleaning. I contacted Fresh One again and they told me 3 hours is definitely not enough (I would be paying for 2 hours and then getting 1 hour for free) and that I have to get 4 hours (I pay for 3 hrs and get 1 hr for free). I said I contacted four other companies and they all said they recommended 3 hours to clean our house, so how come Fresh One is recommending 4 hours. It seems like they don't even trust the ability of their cleaners. They said that they will try to do their best but can't guarantee that it'll be done on time. When I inquired about pricing I was told it was $30 per person and had a two hours minium. It sounded fine to me so I said, "My place is not that big, it usually only takes one person for 2 hours, that's all I need." And the guy on the phone said okay, and we set a time. On the day of the cleaning, they showed up a full hour late, and two of them showed up, neither spoke much English so I couldn't even express that I only wanted one person. And then the two of them mucked about for a whole 3 hours, chatting, talking on the phone while they cleaned. To put it in context, when I used Nurse Next Doors, every single time the job was handled by one person and done within 2 hours. When I hired Maids For hire, they sent four people and got the job done in under 1 hour. There's no way in hell it takes 2 people 3 hours to clean this place- and they didn't even dust the window blinds! What should've been a $90 maximum job ended out costing me almost $200 because there was two of them. Afterward I called the guy in charge and complained, but he just gave me this nonsense about it takes two of them because of safety concerns, and they do a better job than anyone else that's why it takes longer and costs more. I had an appointment with Fresh One Cleaning Services last week. I found them incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. They showed up late (with no indication) and were incredibly confused when trying to coordinate payment. They charged me for 3 hours when they did 2.5 hours of work and when I requested information about why, they never responded. This so called cleaning company is terrible. They promise to clean every inch of your place but as I quickly discovered they send people who have not been trained or who have no clue how to clean a counter, floor or window. They do not remove items from the countertops etc so they can clean underneath. There is lots of dust and grime left over long after they have left. They say if you complain within 24 hours you will get guaranteed satisfaction. After that you are out of luck - you must pay or else they threaten and harass you via telephone, text and email. Cesar and his company are very poor business people who don't put the customer first but instead put themselves first as they believe they are always right and the customer has no right to complain because the cleaners showed up and "cleaned" for a couple of hours. Initially I had called this company because there was a pigeon nest on my small balcony which left a huge pile of feces. All I wanted really was this to be done and since there was a 2hr minimum to have whatever inside tidied. I would not recommend this company because: The cleaners were late coming to my place, they asked if they could wear shoes inside - I said no - one of them still did, they used my broom and dustpan to clean the balcony/feces when they are suppose to have their own supplies, they said they'd clean and sanitize my broom and dustpan and they did not, when one of the ladies was cleaning my kitchen they'd move things and not put it back in their place, they tracked in mud onto the floors and was about to leave without mopping it. And of course they used my mop again not cleaning it afterwards. They did however got the pigeon feces out and did a great job cleaning the balcony however I felt like this could've been done more efficiently. But since they cleaned the main problem I'll give them 3 stars but I would not recommend this place. read more
