We came here upon recommendation from our sommelier at Anuva Wines, and found a completely empty restaurant with the door closed at around 8 pm on a Tuesday night. They were open, though, and we were placed at a table by the window. Within the next hour, a couple more tables filled up, but still pretty empty.
The menu was interesting.. and we weren't that hungry after our wine tasting so we ordered and split 3 things:
Octopus - This was just okay. The texture was a bit hard and chewy. Probably wouldn't recommend.
Tempura Shrimp - The shell was WAY too thick, it was like biting into a ball of dough with a tiny shrimp in there somewhere. Also wouldn't recommend.
Lamb (I believe they are famous for) - This was pretty good and what they get the 3 stars for. I don't normally eat lamb, but I ate some of this and enjoyed it. My bf, who does eat lamb, said that it was really good.
We left behind two bottles of wine that we had purchased at Anuva, and no one chased us down to bring it to us (we were walking a few blocks to our hotel and could not have gotten far when they found it) but when we went back to get it, they did give it to us (it was already behind the counter though.. hm....) but I still get a shady feeling like they were trying to keep it for themselves. Oh well, our bad for leaving it behind. read more
