Everything from oil paining, to ceramics/pottery, to works in wood, metal and stone. A very nice collection and worth a visit. You'll probably see something that will catch your eye. The owners are very nice and and very knowledgeable of the artists they represent and the history of the region. Website indicates gallery is open from June 1 to October 31.

A former fisherman, Gordon Kennedy makes some highly unusual pieces of art of all sizes, big and small. Do stop to take a look. In addition, Gordon is a wonderful human being. After many attempts I ask for the portrait or a refund in Dec. That's the last correspondence. ignoring calls, emails, messenger, etc. So I have no portrait and no refund. As you'll see a common thread that people who are from 'away' ordering prints leave empty handed and stay that way minus their money.

Unfortunately, the first time my daughters wore them, 1 out of the three charms fell off (different designs but same problem). Another charm fell off and we found it. In addition, one of the anklets had an extension on the chain to allow you to size it for your ankle--that fell off. If it had happened to one of the anklets, I would have assumed human error--but it was both. I emailed the store through their web site twice but have not heard a response. We were struck by the pottery, particularly the glazed whale bowls and serving platters, got one of the latter. There was more than we had time to explore, a nice 2 level space that is quiet and well-organized, very nice service and a pleasant stop during a beautiful drive, much less chintzy than the other shops along the way and with a log-cabin feel. Once you visit here, you will discover his inventions and research were much more extensive! He had groundbreaking work in optical telecommunications, hydrofoils, and aeronautics. He was the 2nd president of the National Geographic Society. He had a deep interest in the new science of heredity and helped shape its direction. He was also significant in providing education and research for the hearing impaired and speech impaired. This site and museum has many artifacts showing some of his works. I would have liked to have spent more time, maybe 6 hours in all. But a tip, don't forget to look at the beauty outside of this museum as the views are gorgeous and inspiring!

And a cute gift shop. I really enjoyed learning about Alexander Graham Bell's wife, Mabel Gardener Hubbard. She sounds like quite a wonderful, smart, talented person. I am so glad they didn't shirk her story in the museum but showed her right along side her husband. I had no idea he was into flight. And that was so cool to learn! All in all, I really enjoyed this. also - there is plenty of parking. And i was able to secure a shady spot for my dogs. And - you can take the museum at your own pace. I went faster than I would have liked, because my dogs were in the car and I always worry about them. But it was a cool day. They were in the shade and just fine.
