Loose Cannon and Adrian were amazing to work with! I had a dream of having a late night food truck…read moreat my wedding reception and Adrian made that a reality in such an easy and flawless way. He made us a specialized menu that was so delectable that when the DJ announced it I watched a guest RUN out of the room to get food and then GO BACK again later in the night. In fact, multiple people thought the food was so good that they ordered twice (the truffle fry poutine was especially popular). Adrian was super flexible and accommodating and stayed late so all my guests and the wedding party could be fed even though he had an early morning food truck festival the very next day. It was honestly incredible and so easy. If you're thinking about a food truck, go with Loose Cannon!

Food truck Tuesday's at Larkin Square are a magical time for everyone. Yesterday was a bad time for…read moreme because I thought it would be a good idea to eat at 3 separate food trucks (it's the day after and I still feel too full to move). Maybe the biggest problem with what I did was stop last at the Loose Cannon Food Truck. This food truck is next level to say the least, why you ask? Because you get chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy inside of a friggin' waffle cone.....sorry, i started drooling. I'm baffled as to how nobody was in line for this truck because I was able to order and start eating this beautiful cone in under 4 minutes. I fell in love with this thing after the first bite. The large juicy chicken chunks on the top are delicious and it only gets better from there. The cone starts to get soft and when you mix that was those yummy mashed potatoes, well, you find heaven in food form. I highly recommend anyone coming to food truck Tuesday's or anyone who visits there site and finds out where this truck is (I might start doing this regularly) comes and checks this innovative truck out, you won't regret it!

I know that Mercyhurst has the Culinary Cab, but as far as I know, Ernies is the only truly…read moreconsistent food truck in the Erie, PA scene. Of course, that's a shame, but lets hope that the presence of Ernies leads to more people taking the time to get the permits, figure out the logistics, and take this risk. Located on weekdays during work hours at Perry Square, Ernies is a small, locally-owned food truck that offers up Erie's own Smith hot dogs, Italian sausages, hamburgers, turkey burgers, cheesesteaks, steak wraps, BLTs, pulled pork sandwiches, and more. It's a safe menu, sure, but Ernies makes every meal fresh and made-to-order. This means that it takes a little longer (my Italian sausage with onions and peppers took probably 6-7 minutes), but being so fresh and at an extremely reasonable price of $4, it was well worth the wait - especially considering the guys behind the counter were personable and more than willing to chat with me while they were cooking, as it wasn't too busy. From out of town and need to get a fresh Smith's hot dog (aka the best hot dog on the planet)? Here's your chance. As much as I love Sara's for what it is, I've never liked that their dogs sit on the burners for way too long. Here, you don't have to worry about that. Support these guys. They're local... and if they do well, who knows? We could very well see some more of these pop up downtown (how about an El Canelo taco truck, a place with Lake Erie perch fish tacos, Erie pierogies and pepperoni balls, etc.?).
