The entire time, the team was nearly impossible to contact and get updates on the case. If you use SLP, just understand that you'll need to be the one reaching out for updates and you may even need to prod them into reaching out to opposing counsel to check on progress. There were multiple times where opposing counsel went WAY past their contractual deadline to arrange for my vehicle surrender, etc. and there was zero urgency on SLP's side. After dozens of emails they said they'd reach out to opposition - why did I pay them 50% of damages if I'm the one begging for them to hold GM accountable? This, among many other frustrations, is why they lose 3 stars. I won, I got compensation (it was a pretty obvious case) but my God were they frustrating to work with from a customer service standpoint. I'd say they answer one out of every ten emails you send them. I legit just started emailing every single day for an update and would keep copying more and more employees on the email until I got an update.

But the good news was that the case was in default. Mr. Miskabi said he was interested and we scheduled a time to discuss. I made him a priority due to that fact, only for him to turn around and tell me that he didn't want to take on a case with previous representation.
