ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE!!! They replaced our daughters spot with another child because we got Covid. If I could give negative stars I would!!! All the owner Cassandra cares about is money NOT your kids and she's very rude. We notified them the first week of December that our family tested positive for Covid. They asked us to Quarantine which I completely understand. Than said we will not be able to bring our daughter back until we provided a negative Covid test for everyone in our household which in some instances can take weeks or even months to receive a negative test depending on the way your body reacts to the virus. " CDC guidelines were 10 day Quarantine at the time but no problem, we too want to ensure the safety of the other children and their families." They then told us after we provide a negative Covid test that we need to Quarantine our daughter for an additional 10 days, "Like What!?! We have jobs that we have to get back to which is why we have our daughter enrolled in daycare. Still no problem we will work around the daycares guidelines and find additional child care for the those days." After all of that we contacted the daycare when we were finally able to bring our daughter back and they proceeded to tell us that they replaced our daughters spot at the daycare with another child and that we will no longer be able to bring our daughter because they do not have any more room. At the same time telling us that we owe them $785 for the time that she was not there and they did absolutely nothing except replace our daughters spot to try and collect more money. They told us that they sent us a couple emails while we had Covid and said we needed to pay them or they were replacing our child. I'm sorry but Covid hit us pretty hard and the last thing we were thinking about was checking our email everyday to see if we still had childcare. I never received a phone call until the day before she was to go back to daycare at 4:00 pm and they told me that we can not bring our daughter in the next day!! Keep in mind every daycare in our area is currently full for infants with a minimum of 2-3 months wait time. The funny thing is I asked to speak with Cassandra (The Owner) because she had one of her employees call to break this news to me and we were told that she is on vacation and currently inaccessible to her email!!! Go figure, complete hypocrite!! We had our daughter there for 4-5 months, Ms, Shirley was great with our daughter but completely over worked. Many times they were short staffed and although they say their policy is 5 infants-to-1 teacher which is already a lot she was at many times watching a lot more. We were constantly fighting a diaper rash at home because it is physically impossible to change her as often as she needed to be with that workload. They would have trouble updating the app with feeding and changing times because they were so busy. And when we initially enrolled her we were told that we would receive photos posted through the app daily of our baby girl. NOT ONCE did they ever post a photo of her. This place is no where near worth the $1000 a month price tag!!! read more

We have three children here and our experience has been very good. Staff are attentive and professional, and although every daycare can have it's chaotic moments, they seem to handle them quite well. They use LifeCubby for communicating activities and status, including pictures during the day. This seems to work quite well for keeping us informed. With six children ranging in age from 3 to 26, we have dealt with dozens of daycare situations over the years, and none of them are ever perfect. For us, it comes down to caring staff that are overseen by engaged management, and FLC fits this bill. read more

I've had my kids at this school for 2 years now and I couldn't be happier. My youngest went through the 3 year old and PreK program and now is in Afterschool. Ms. Tonya was fantastic and definitely helped us with his transition into childcare. They are very responsive to emails and I can always get a teacher on the phone if I need to. My boys now are in the After school program and hate it when I come to pick them up...Ms. Annette is a lot of fun though. read more

If you value your kids wellbeing, don't send your kids here. My kids attended for about 3 years. The initial 2 no complaints or nothing major. Over the last year my son comes home with random scratches, and we have no incident reports, but kids will be kids right. Move forward to September 21- December 21. Over these 4 months my daughter has fell and bust her head open requiring stitches 3 times. The first two incidents involved bookcases sitting in the MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR in a 3 year old's class. You would think after the first time they would move them right? No. 1st incident the center failed to report to the state to which they were cited and fined. 3rd incident at the time of writing this was last week, no camera in the room it happened so I have no clue but according to my daughter she slipped on a block and hit her head on a table. Upon my daughter's return to school after the third incident, Haley I believe her name is, denied my daughter access to the school with a doctor's note, which wasnt demanded the first time nor second time which affected work for a 3rd straight day. So I think anybody at that point would become irate. Not out of control, irate. The owner DONNIE then decides that he was going to kick our kids out of the school that day due to the incident of becoming irate via EMAIL. Note he admitted via EMAIL that is not policy that my daughter have a doctor's note to return. He's a fake nice douche. He doesnt follow up timely and moves very shady imo. I would not send my kids here. The place is visibly a bit of mess and antiquated but overall the My daughter has 3 permanent scars across her forehead and the centers response was to kick my kids out because their parents got upset, not tear anything up, not threaten anyone, not touch a kid, because a parent dropped a F bomb for being toyed with after their kid had been physically hurt for a 3rd time. The Friendship Learning Center is a great place! The staff really cares for these kids. My oldest went to Preschool here and continues to participate in the Spring Break and Summer Camp programs, he's 8 now! My youngest started as a drop in at 7 months. Mrs. Pam, in the infant room, has a lot of experience and will go out of her way to work with each child and their individual schedule. She really gets these babies involved with the activities! She sings and does art with the infants. It's really wonderful! The only thing I would change is the ability to bring lunch for the older kids. My son is such a picky eater. Even though we can't bring food for him they try to accommodate him when they can! LOVE THIS PLACE! read more

Our child attended the daycare at this facility for almost a year and was transitioned into the GA prek program. The daycare and after school teachers were amazing and did a great job. They were engaging and loving. We would have liked to see more structure regarding these programs but overall they were awesome with our daughter (ms Angie / ms. Anita / ms. Tonya) Our concern started when we noticed the owner "kassandra" was never in the classrooms and popped in/out of the facility. In addition we were not being informed of activities or performance/growth of our daughter. We hardly ever received anything that was sent home regarding work that was done in the classroom. The school has "life cubby" which they post a photo of your child and the "lesson plan" but it doesn't communicate what was done specific to your child or what specific activities they did that day. We never heard of any major issues or concerns so we kept our daughter in the center and enrolled in GA Prek. During the orientation we were under the impression that out child would learn handwriting, reading, numbers, sight words, etc; which was not the case. After a few months I noticed our child falling behind compared to other children we knew and was quizzed by other prek teachers I knew as friends in the area. This was due to the curriculum of the Ga prek program and having prek teachers that were inexperienced. After our child started in this class we were being informed in passing of a behavior issue (hitting, throwing toys, etc) in the classroom. This was extremely odd as she never exhibited this behavior outside of the center (family / friends / church). Our daughter also never wanted to talk about school and vocalized hating school. As good parents we were consistent thinking it was just the change of school routine that she hated. During this time, the Prek teacher hardly ever told us what was occurring until we started getting phone calls in the middle of the afternoon asking us to talk to our daughter due to behavior. My husband and I had to suggest some form of easy communication which then started a behavior chart for our daughter; however we quickly lost faith in the implementation as our daughter would get "red" for not staying on mat during nap ( which did not warrant the severe punishment at home). During this time we noticed The following regarding the center/prek teachers: prek teacher suggested that our daughter may be autistic (which is illegal to even hint), the center wanted to put a weighted vest on her during nap time so she would lay down (ridiculous) and would not individualize the teaching/ lessons / schedule for the child (i.e.: our daughter did not require a nap, but she was expected AND penalized for not laying on her mat for over an hour; which resulted in my daughter becoming destructive during "nap" time). All the while when we would see the owner or prek teacher, they would never express concern regarding progress or behavior. In addition, we started seeing behavior change in our daughter as she started to "hate" school, did not want to read along during bedtime stories, and did not have excitement towards learning. We became very concerned. We received a call a few days before Christmas break wanting to have a parent / teacher meeting. We were unable to accommodate due to the short notice. After school resumed (which our daughter was still attending the center during winter break) received an email from the owner stating that we needed to meet, and hinted to the possibility of suspending our daughter. That was the final straw. I looked at another school "Goddard" and found an opening in a private prek at their school. She changed schools within a day. The owner and prek teachers at Goddard have been amazing and are engaged with every child and parent. In just a few days our daughter was excited about school and was excited to tell us about her day at school. She has been doing very well and excelling!! What a difference it can make when you create a loving and engaging environment in your center/prek!! Side note: I told her new prek teacher that we were informed that our daughter may be "autistic" per her old prek teacher; within a few days they told me that was ridiculous for even suggesting. Also Goddard teachers have 20+ years experience vs less than 5 years at Friendship. My husband and I are both strongly believe that the issues we had at Friendship are due to weak/poor leadership from the owner, the owner and teachers scared of confrontation, the lack of proactive communication and experience, and the misguided communication about the Ga Prek program. Take the advice. There are a lot of great programs / daycare in hall county; do not choose Friendship as long as it is being run/ led by Kassandra. read more

We had our child at this center and pulled him out after we saw some questionable things happening and no resolution from the owner, Cassandra. The final straw was one night when we picked our child up and got a letter from the person in charge of the baby room, Pam. It said that our childs clothes had gotten bleach stains (a large one at that once we looked)after his clothes fell into the sink that contained bleach near where he was being changed. On several occasions we also saw containers of a bleach mixture out in the open and not locked up including a sink filled with a bleach mixture during open hours. Pam, the lady in charge of the baby room acts like she knows better how to raise or care for your child than you do. Very rude and set in her ways. We brought these concerns to the owner, Cassandra, before we left and no resolution was brought to us to our satisfaction. Pam "runs" this place and the other girls are very unhappy with this and with working there. Turnover is high. The girls have verified their unhappiness with working there several times and confirmed that Pam is very bossy with them as well. Cassandra is afraid of confrontation and doesn't handle most difficult situations herself. They claim to have a cirriculum for the children but this is not followed because the teachers are handling a much higher teacher to child ratio than was claimed to us when we originally interviewed them. We were told 1 to 6 children and it was more of 1 to 9 children on several personally observed occasions as well and confirmation from the employees. The teachers just do not have the time. This center is very poorly managed. Be very careful and be sure you are observant before you take your child here. read more

Disappointed in my experience with FLC, beyond blessed that I have a job and boss that was very understanding of the countless times that I was made to miss work to come pick up my children, rumor has it the director carries around a thermometer in her pocket and I believe it, my child has ear and allergy issues and runs a temp at the drop of a hat, anything above 100.5 they send them home, but of course no matter how many days they are sent home you still pay full price...this was all understandable, though frustrating, what was not understandable, nor acceptable, was when they called me to tell me my 4 year old son had to be picked up because he was "out of control" and scratched the teacher (the invisible marks were shown to me when I picked him up.) That day, my Son and I went to visit a new daycare and thank God, were pleased with it, so I gave the required two week notice. I received a call the next day from the Director saying she had received my note, that they were again having problems with my son and wanting to know how he acts at home, were there any changes, wanting to start a behavior chart/reward system (you know, all the things a PROFESSIONAL trained in early childhood education & care should've been doing all along.) The very next Monday, just a week later, I received basically the same exact call, the people whom I was paying to care for my children so I can make a living, could not "handle" a 4 year old. So I was asked again to pick him up and it was suggested we go ahead and begin at the new center immediately. Again, I will say THANK GOD for little blessings in disguise because we couldn't be happier with our new care. My Son has been in such a good mood everyday when I drop him off and when I pick him up, his twin Sister who used to cry and cling to me every morning at drop off, is excited to go to her new school. I just feel that parents should be warned, this facility will care for your always well, always happy, always cooperative child, if those exist...also can't help but wonder WHAT was going on there to set off my boy so much so often, what was it that made my sweet girl not want to go to this place each day? I pray nothing, that it just wasn't the right place for us... *Side note my last week of payments I paid over by a few dollars (a few to you is a gallon of milk to me), have not received that money back, nor the deposit I was told I would get back for the key FOB I returned. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE! My daughter was mistreated on two different occasions by her teacher Ms. Christine. I witnessed them both on the camera that parents have access to via their smart phone and/or computers. The first occasion happened on 2/14/18 where she snatched my child up out of a chair by her hand and pulled her walking fast, so fast where my daughter couldn't even keep up with her because she was tripping over herself trying to keep up with Ms. Christine. Then the teacher threw her into the corner where her cot was at to sleep on. The second occasion happened yesterday, 3/13/18 where I witnessed Ms. Christine once again, snatching a toy out of Journi's hand and slamming it on the table. If you don't have the patience for kids then why in the hell is Ms. Christine working at this daycare? This type of behavior is very inappropriate and you do not treat the kids this way. I addressed the situation with the owner Donnie who did absolutely nothing about the situation. He basically took Ms. Christine's side and said it did not look like she was snatching anything out of my child's hand when I showed him the video on my phone. Anyone in their right mindset can tell that she is clearly snatching a toy out of my child's hand. Then Donnie said that Ms. Christine took the toy from my daughter because she hit a child with a block and nowhere in the video did she hit anyone with a block. Matter of fact, the little boy slapped the toy out of my daughters hand and Ms. Christine turned her head quickly (probably from my daughter making some sort of noise since the boy slapped the toy out of her hand) and so Ms. Christine rushes over to them and snatches the toy out of my daughters hand. I have showed this video to so many people and everyone has said that it is clear and in plain view that the teacher snatched the toy out of my daughters hand. Moving on, nothing was done. Donnie took the teachers side. I told him I was a concerned parent as any parent would be and then I also told him he would be concerned too if this happened to his kids but then again maybe he wouldn't be considering his kids attend the other daycare in which his wife runs so he has nothing to worry about. Because of this, he got offended which I didnt intend to offend him I was just being real and speaking facts. In reality, it's true. I also inquired about different angle views in the classroom but they said they didn't have any and then I went on and told them that I could see other classrooms which I didn't think it was a problem or secret I should have kept to myself because I don't even look at the other classrooms because my child isn't in them. Donnie then seemed upset because I had access to the other classrooms. Again, I don't see why it mattered or why this was a problem. What are you all trying to hide? Moving on, the next morning, I went on my phone to look at my daughter in class as I do everyday and ironically it said connection failed. So I immediately called the daycare to see what happened or if they changed the login credentials or something and Donnie goes to say that he disabled camera use permanently for all parents because of the conversation he and I had the day before. He said it left a bad taste in his mouth when he said I "offended" him about not having to worry about his kids at his daycare and he also didn't like that fact that I had access to the other classrooms. All in all, after all of this, Donnie told me today was my child's last day and that she could not attend this daycare anymore because he didn't think they were a good fit for me and my child. He immediately packed her belongings and sat them at the front of the daycare and wanted me to come get her ASAP. How unprofessional is that. No notice or anything. Something isn't right about this daycare. Please reconsider other options. Why would you turn the camera off the last day for my child? Now I have no idea what happened with her today. For all I know they could've mistreated her. Did she eat? Did she nap? Was she in a corner all day? My daughter is 2. Smh. read more

I have had my 2 children at this center since 2012. One started in the Toddler room and the other in Preschool. They both went through PreK and were well taught. They entered Kindergarten way ahead of the curve. They are now in Ms. Annette's afterschool program and they love it. I couldn't say enough good that would do them justice....thanks for everything FLC! read more

We have recently brought our two children (2 and 5) back to Friendship. Our oldest attended pre-k here and we absolutely loved the teachers and the staff and she learned so much! (The elementary school was impressed at how much she knew on the entrance test!) We were silly and thought a local (way overpriced) school would be better for our toddler to learn. We were so wrong! After 5-6months at the other school, my oldest was miserable and the toddler came home with nothing new. After two weeks at Friendship my 2 yr old is sitting on the potty, talking much clearer, and asks if she can go to school!!! The rooms are big and they keep them moving! My oldest asks me not to pick her up to fast after school so she can play with her friends! BEST PART THOUGH! I am treated like a Mom trying to do the best for my kids, never like a client!!! We will not leave Friendship again and highly recommend it! read more
