Believe the reviews. I made the mistake of thinking that all the negative reviews were just a few…read morepeople with bad experiences. Everyplace has bad reviews here and there but this place absolutely deserves all the negative reviews. My mother was there for for a week after getting out of the hospital for a brain aneurysm and a mild stroke. The first night there she fell out of bed, then the second time she fell was two days later even after we asked them to keep the bed as close to the floor as possible they still kept the bed about 3 feet off the ground and she fell again resulting in a hospital visit overnight. The third time she fell because the moved her to a chair and just rolled her into the center hallway and left her without a seat belt to keep her in the chair. She fell right onto her head resulting in a week in the hospital. All three falls in a week!!!! They do not care about anyone. Do not send your loved one here or you will see how negligent they are everyday.

Not pleased at all with how my grandmother was taken care of. We arrived one day to find out she…read morehadn't been breathing too well which had been going on for a day. They ordered a chest xray at 4am. We arrived at 4pm to find out the cray still hadn't been done. We got a nurse in there who came in extremely aggressive and checked grandmas vitals while handling her pretty aggressively. She kept on stating that her vitals were fine. The nurse kept cutting off my father in law when he was trying to explain to her that she wasn't breathing well. We decided to get grandma sent back to the hospital to find out she actually had fluid in her lungs. I was also told by grandma that her heels hurt so bad and she had asked for a pillow to prop them up. No one ever brought her a pillow. I asked the nurse who was being aggressive about it only to be told they don't have a lot of pillows at the facility. She gave me extreme attitude when asking her why they didn't call me or make do with what they did have. The nurse decided in that moment to make do with a blanket, and I'm wondering why they didn't do that before. They let my grandma sit there for a whole day without propping her feels. I called out this very nurse for her attitude and unprofessionalism only to be telling a room full of nurses that there was a lot of tension in the room and that we all needed to breathe. The nurse ended up apologizing to me profusely as she was aware she was being completely unprofessional and maybe didn't think we were going to call her out. Wonder how often this happens. My grandma will not be returning. Can't believe we found out she had fluid in her lungs and the nurse at Stoney Springs didn't seem concerned prior to this or ready to hear what we had to say while explaining that she didn't feel good.

If I could rate a Zero I would. My mother was there for PT…read morerehab for a broken leg/hip. One aide, Amy, was fantastic. The care beyond her was atrocious. In less than 48 hours my mother was taken, by ambulance, to the ER for shortness of breath. I stopped by one week later to give them an update to find her room cleaned out & her belongings boxed up! We never rec'd written notice or a phone call re: "bed hold", which I am only now familiar with. Now the staff & administration are lying trying to cover their tracks because they did not adhere to the state standards and requirements. The food, when delivered to her room, was ice cold, inedible. The evening aide turned the a/c, in her room, to 62 both nights. That was the care she got overnight. I do not recommend Cypress to care for your loved ones.

There was a young guy who came in every night before leaving who washed if I needed anything before he left for home. I can not say that there wasn't a person who wasn't caring and nice. I can only speak of my experience there and I was so thankful that they got me strong enough to go home. Also the family must stay involved with your care. At any nursing facility it's a must. Thanks to all who was involved of my care. The food was okay. If they had something that I didn't care for they offered me something else. I suggest that if something is going g wrong get in touch with the owner.

Mother-in-law was there a little over a month but that was enough.Several issues, but most…read moreimportant...she slipped off of the bed to the floor and called for help. Help came in the form of an aide who helped her to bed, alone. She said a nurse would be in to check her.....no nurse ever came, I talked to one the next day after I found out about the incident. No one ever came and no one ever admitted to the incident. It was intimated to me by an RN that it might have been a "dream". No way. She was alert, oriented to time place and events. She could talk circles around anyone about political issues, world issues etc. At 95 years old she even balanced her checkbook...to the penny. She had very sore ribs from the lift being done by one person. The aide should have left her on the floor and awaited a nurse to evaluate her condition to make sure she was safe for a lift which should be done by two people. All of this and no one admits that it even happened. The head of nursing said that there was no documentation and no one "knows anything about it". So now what? The State?. She had a swallowing problem and would not go to the dining room due to embarrassment and she did not want to upset other residents. They brought trays to her room at first, for about 3 weeks. Then they missed breakfast two days, then lunch a couple of days, etc., etc.,Then, nothing at all. She was already losing too much weight from her inability to eat certain foods....but no food at all???? Ohhhh, so this is what "assisted"is. I had to ask to have the refrigerator cleaned before she moved it. They called because they "forgot to collect the rent" before she moved in and I said I wanted to inspect the room. My husband dropped the check off before I could inspect the room. I was told that it was clean, the person I spoke with said she had checked it herself. Still, I had to clean her room before she could move in, and they said that it had been cleaned. I mopped, washed the sink, molding and shower. A kind aide ran the sweeper. The bathroom never got cleaned again my mother-in-law said. It was hard to tell because the floor never looked clean though I spoke with the head of housekeeping about it who gave me some lame excuse about "water deposits". Never again!
