There were arched windows, beautiful lighting, and everything was just so bright due to the two. Inside there was a variety of places to eat. There were restaurants, a bar, and a coffee shop from what I had seen. I came early in the morning, so only the coffee shop was open. At the Union Station, you can catch a ride on the Amtrak or catch Denver's bus or rail. I thought the system was very nice and orderly.

We'd never ridden the train before, and I thought it would be a nice alternative to flying out of Denver for our trip home at the end of a nice vacation. Unfortunately the Vail to Denver portion of the trip has effectively ruined my experience, and who's to blame? Greyhound. Through a bit of luck that unfortunately involved a knee injury, we arrived at the metro transit station in Vail 3.5 hours before our bus was set to depart to Denver. Imagine my surprise when we were told that there wouldn't be any available seats for us on the bus, even though we had reserved tickets in hand. The bus apparently already had 48 people as it arrived in Grand Junction, CO and would will up to it's max of 55 before reaching Vail. Apparently this happens all the time. So instead of being able to use our reserved bus tickets that cost $54.90... We first had to book ourselves last minute on a CME shuttle from Vail to Denver for $136.00. But since CME only goes to the Denver Airport, we then had to then book Big Sky Shuttle to the Amtrak Station for another $40. Luckily we were able to catch the train, but with a total expense of $230.90. Thanks for nothing Greyhound. No wonder nobody takes the bus.

There is a serious problem with most all of their employees and drivers. 9 out of 10 of the hundreds of employees total I had interaction with, had serious attitude problems, control issues, and threatening almost everyone they come in contact with. Many times the employees caused the very problems they were supposed to attempt to avoid. Since they have a Monopoly on this business, they treat their customers who support their business like animals. One person fell asleep and his mask slid down half over his nose and still completely covering his mouth was woke up and thrown off the bus in 30 degree weather because he did not speak English and could not know what the driver was ordering him to do. This type of aggression against customers is so sad. Something must be done

I've had a great run with the RTD system since I moved here over 5 years ago…read more With the new locked bike room at the station they make it even easier than ever to leave take a quick ride over, lock your bike up in a more secure area than before (out in the open) and hop on for a ride. Don't want to leave your beloved bike behind? Affix it to the outside/front of the bus. The contraption looks quite complicated but with a little help or experimentation you're sure to get the hang of it pretty quickly. Some of the most convenient rides I've been most thankful for are to Nederland for Frozen Dead Guy Days (FDGD). Nothing beats relaxing on the bus ride up & back, particularly when the roads are a mess from the snow (that happened my first year to FDGD). Who wants to mess with the parking and risking harm to others if you opt to imbibe at this annual event? The seats are comfy and adjustable. Most rides to Denver (FF1) that I've taken have allowed me my own set of seats with room to stretch out and read or just relax. The drivers are often friendly and happy to strike up a chat (it's been a habit of mine since grade school to befriend the bus drivers). There's a help/police desk inside the station aside from the purchase window (where you can buy passes etc.) These gents were so kind helping me navigate the multipack vending machine inside the station. To note there is also an electronic vending machine just outside the doors to the station (behind the benches) for day passes etc. both this machine as well as the indoor vending machine take credit cards. If you have a few days before your travels you can also purchase many passes online and they will mail them out to you. Discount passes are also available. Check out the RTD website for more info. The bathroom is typically clean and great for a quick stop before the bus ride (as I haven't been on any buses with toilets). Overall convenient, eco friendly, relaxing, and affordable way to travel from Boulder to DIA/Denver I've experienced. The main improvement I'd like to see is outlets in the bus to charge phone/iPad etc.

It was installed in 2006. I couldn't find much information about this online. There's a riddle you're supposed to solve ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rtd-southmoor-station-denver?select=hVUIr1N8WBWyO1l8-tTvig ) and walk by the speakers in an order. Since I was only going to be here one time, I wanted to be sure I activated the speakers correctly to create the sounds in order so I could hear the melodic tune. Don't think I was successful... People are constantly on their way to or from the station and have to walk through this tunnel. The cacophony of noises emanating from the speakers was music to my ears for the short time I heard it. I can see how it might be bothersome to some people. It was sporadically busy during the entire time I was there. I was getting stared at because I was trying to activate the speakers and record the sounds. I was probably in the way of travelers. Some of the pillars play bells ringing and others play sounds from nature like birds squawking & chirping. TIP: You need to pass by fairly close to the speakers to activate them. Just as I was about to give up, a nice sequence of dings, chirps, squawks, & bells began to play! I think the "Art" had mercy on me or it was programmed to play at certain intervals. It's located on S. Monaco Pkwy. Light Rail trains & buses are the mode of transportation here. This is a Park n Ride. If you are catching a bus, you just catch it from near the parking lot. If you are catching a train, you need to go down the stairs or ramp, through the tunnel, and go up the stairs or take the elevator to get to the platform. The tunnel crosses underneath the I-25. I would have taken the train or bus to any other station, but time didn't permit. It would have been cool to see all 30 art installations in the Denver area! You can ride free during July & August because of the "Zero Fare for Better Air" Campaign.

I don't much like walking in the tunnel but in broad daylight I felt ok. I had to wait for another train as the one I wanted to take was pulling away as I came up the stairs. There are some weird acting people who wait at this station. Made me feel uncomfortable and I watched them. One of them came too close and I made sure to not have my back to him. I feel like the atmosphere in the trains has changed with the free rides in August and I don't plan to ride anymore. Luckily the location I work at is different for a while and I can drive.

You can trust them...you won't be stranded. There is a scarcity of affordable shuttles in the area and Uber/Lyft do not work too well. I got quotes from other people and this was the most affordable option we could find (shocking, yes). FYI their website says they charge $4 per mile if you are doing a ride from Summit County to outside of it. Keep in mind that this trip is calculate not from the origin point...but from THEIR origin point in Breckenridge, CO. This is very different from how taxis typically work... A trip from our starting point to Loveland Ski Area (a 13 mile one way ride). This route was separately quoted from two different members of his team. One person quoted $120 each way ($240 RT), the other person quoted $80 each way ($160 RT). Thankfully they were able to honor the cheaper route they quoted. That being said, we had a great time using this shuttle and it is very reliable. This is a great option if you are afraid of driving (some routes are pretty dangerous especially in snowy/windy conditions).

We were picked up in a van that had been in a T-bone accident the day before & the door wouldn't shut so we were stuck on the side of the road for a minute. The door and other parts of the van are being held together by Batman duct tape. It's over booked. She told us so.
