I got stranded twice using this bus line, the bus left Lamar Colorado going to Denver, Colorado at 330am. It was scheduled to leave at 4:25am! I had to wait 24 hours without shelter. This happened another time in Colorado Springs. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Greyhound. I purchased upgraded round-trip tickets for my daughter and son-in-law to travel from Denver to Oklahoma City (with a transfer in Amarillo). I paid extra so they could sit together--but on the way down, the driver forced them to move to accommodate two plus-size passengers who each required two seats. They were separated for the entire ride despite paying specifically to sit together. Then, the return trip was a complete disaster: the driver was arrested for driving under the influence. Let that sink in--Greyhound entrusted their passengers to someone not fit to drive. Greyhound acknowledged this in a text message and promised a refund for at least this portion of the trip. Upon further inquiry, a few weeks later, their customer service sent a generic, tone-deaf response saying, "The ticket you purchased is non-refundable, and due to ticket restrictions." Services were not provided. They failed to deliver a basic level of professionalism, safety, and accountability. Not honoring a written promise of reimbursement after a DUI incident is not just bad customer service--it's unethical. They included, "We hope this incident won't deter you from using our services again." This statement is delusional. Avoid Greyhound at all costs. Spend a little more and go with a company that respects its passengers and actually follows through on what it says. read more

We bought bus tickets for a family whose car allegedly was stolen in Colorado Springs. Less than an hour later we tried to get a refund, because they said the Police found their car. Not only will Greyhound NOT refund our money, they will only give us a credit, for around 1/3 of the purchase price. Greyhound never provided us a service, was not out any time or money, and we requested a refund within an hour. We wasted over an hour on the phone with representatives, with zero resolution. All of this because we tried to help a stranger in need. Terrible experience. Terrible customer service. Zero accountability. Fly instead. Hitch hike. Ride a moped. If I could give this company negative stars I WOULD! The literally almost killed me and everyone on our bus. My entire trip home has been a NIGHTMARE Our driver from Last Vegas to Green River, UT? nearly fell asleep and caused us to go off the road driving on the warning rivets of the side of the road. The driver before him caused us to be an HOUR late and got is lost 5x. Drove us into a DEAD END where I HAD TO GET OFF BUS AND LITERALLY HELP GUIDE HIM BACKWARDS SO HE COULD TURN AROUND. Then he took another wrong turn and we ended up going through private mobile home property nearly hitting 2 vehicles. The he went from the far right lane and cut across the left lane AND intersection awhile on a RED LIGHT! YES, HE BLEW A RED LIGHT!! Then we nearly almost flipped the bus on several occasions cause the driver we had from Green River to Denver was speeding doing 10+ over the speed limit DOWN HILL THROUGH THE ROCKIES!! I've never been so thankful to be alive still. And it really doesn't help when we try to assist them...AND THEY TALK CRAP TO US OR ARE RUDE AND EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL ALL AROUND! IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.....YES, I DO WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED BECAUSE MY BUS FROM DENVER TO VEGAS WAS OVER 2 HRS LATE!! THEN Coming home again from Vegas, the driver refuses to let us stop and eat or stretch. He was more concerned about "getting to Green River" than our well being and safety. Greyhound is corrupt and we will never use them again. On August 2, 2024, we purchased a greyhound ticket for our grandson traveling from Bakersfield, CA to LA. When he arrived in LA, we bought him a ticket for Pensacola. When the driver arrived, he refused his ticked because it was crinkled from being in his pocket all day. The bus driver refused to allow him to board and didn't allow him to get another ticket from the computer. We had to purchase another ticket and pay another fee in order for him to get to FL. We called and after much difficulty got in touch with a rude agent that was of NO help. The 1st ticket should have been honored and having to purchase a 2nd ticket was robbery. So sad that a once great company like Greyhound have become dishonest and unprofessional. We will never allow them to steal from us again! read more

Not only did she inform us of what to do but also made sure to get us in motels and actually double and triple checked to not leave any passengers behind. Can I give this negative stars? My mom insists on taking Greyhound and now the station is at the public bus station at Union Station. There is no customer service counter, just a kiosk... a kiosk. There is one maybe two people available to assist. You ask for a bag tag, you get a tiny tag to write on. There is no assistance to make sure you know which gate to go to, everyone crowds around the door and there is not structure. Fend for yourself basically, figure it out and pray you're in the right place. Greyhound is bad as it is but this specific station is God awful. Oh did I mention there aren't any bathrooms in the actual terminal? You have to go up a set of stair and into a train station. Terrible!!! read more

Got on a bus with my daughter (3years old) a few hours later our driver ran the bus off the road into a ditch. Making me miss my connections and extending my trip 2 days with a 3 year old no one has spoke to any of the passengers about what happened it ad if they are pushing it under the rug not offering a refund on our tickets for the inconvenience or even an apology for the inconvenience. greyhound has zero customer service. i was traveling from Nevada to N Carolina a 3 day trip. on first day we were delayed in Colorado due to a fire. driver was pressured to catch up and managed to leave 4 passengers behind in Vail CO. we were forced to hire other transportation to get to Denver, paid for taxi and hotel. and greyhound has the nerve to force me to buy another full price ticket. no credit for first ticket and they did nothing to find my suitcase. read more

I will be traveling from Denver to Vail this week and did not realize that there were two separate stations in Denver, the Amtrak station and the Greyhound station. My ticket has me getting on at the Denver Greyhound station at 6:45am and then stopping at the Denver Amtrak station at 7:00am. I called Greyhound three times to see if I could simply get on one stop later at the Denver Amtrak station. This really should have been a very easy fix. The first person I spoke to said it was not possible, which is ridiculous. The second person at the Customer Support Center said that I could call the specific Denver Greyhound station and notify them that I would be getting on one stop later at the Denver Amtrak station so that they could let the driver know. I then called the number that they gave me for the Denver Greyhound station and was directed back to the original call center who told me that getting on later would not be possible. I explained that someone from Greyhound already told me it was possible and asked for them to please put me in touch with someone at the Denver station. For a while, they refused to give me a direct line. Once I insisted, they gave me a number, which turned out to be a fax number. I will do whatever is in my power to never use Greyhound again. They have horrendous customer service!!! read more

On the date of 7/17/2019 I handed the driver my ticket as I was about to get on. The driver kept my ticket and he pulled me up in a phone. I handed my checked bag to the gentleman named Vincent. The driver then refused to let me carry on my carry on that I had on the previous bus that I transferred from. When I told him I just had it as a carry on his attitude changed and told me that I have to check my bag. So I turned around for a second and handed Vincent my carry on. I turned back around and he was processing someone else. He then processed two more people then he asked me for my ticket. I told him I handed it to him and he then stated that since I don't have it he won't let me on. I asked him what he did with my ticket and he quickly flipped through paperwork and a couple of tickets without really looking at them. Even though he just had my ticket and my name pulled up on his phone he refused to let me on without me handing him the ticket that I already handed to him. I said this is bull shit and he lost his mind and called security. I talked with security and informed them what was going on and I had two baggage carriers as witnesses. I'm only rating this place based on there storage ability. We flew into Denver on our way to Breckinridge. We arrived earlier than the rest of our party so we had about 5hrs to kill so we went to the downtown Denver area. Not wanting to drag our luggage all over town, we needed a place to store our luggage for several hours. The only place we found that would do this for us was the Greyhound. They have two options: small lockers that you can rent (and they are small), or leaving your luggage at the ticket counter. We opted for the latter because our luggage wouldn't fit into the small lockers. I think they charged $5 or $10 (I can't remember) to do so. Now we were free to explore downtown Denver! The problem we ran into was that they didn't tell us they closed from 1:45 to 4:30!!! We got there at 2:30 only to realize that we couldn't get our luggage for another 2hours!!! So, we had to rearrange our plans, we was not cool. read more

When I booked tickets via Amtrak to travel from Vail to Omaha, I thought I was getting a great deal. We'd never ridden the train before, and I thought it would be a nice alternative to flying out of Denver for our trip home at the end of a nice vacation. Unfortunately the Vail to Denver portion of the trip has effectively ruined my experience, and who's to blame? Greyhound. Through a bit of luck that unfortunately involved a knee injury, we arrived at the metro transit station in Vail 3.5 hours before our bus was set to depart to Denver. Imagine my surprise when we were told that there wouldn't be any available seats for us on the bus, even though we had reserved tickets in hand. The bus apparently already had 48 people as it arrived in Grand Junction, CO and would will up to it's max of 55 before reaching Vail. Apparently this happens all the time. So instead of being able to use our reserved bus tickets that cost $54.90... We first had to book ourselves last minute on a CME shuttle from Vail to Denver for $136.00. But since CME only goes to the Denver Airport, we then had to then book Big Sky Shuttle to the Amtrak Station for another $40. Luckily we were able to catch the train, but with a total expense of $230.90. Thanks for nothing Greyhound. No wonder nobody takes the bus. read more

A lot of the reviews below sound like they come from people who haven't spent much time in Greyhound stations before. They're always kind of grimy and yes, there's often people who are down on their luck or struggling with substance abuse, but that's par for the course. I was actually surprised at how well-lit, well stocked, and relatively clean the bus station was, especially since I was there well into the night. As for the bus service itself, I took a midnight bus to Salt Lake from Denver and the bus was about 30 minutes late, but that's the bus life. When I was living on the East Coast I got used to waiting up to 45 min for a bus so it could have been much worse. read more

I would rate them less if i could. Just arrived to denver by the greyhound bus line and they lost my few checked bags and charged me way more than was realistic to ship items. Overall a terrable expearience. Their baggage handler told me to put my carry on underneith the bus where my laptop was then broken. Now waiting on claims but they wont even reimburse me full price. Never bring a bike on this bus line. They also are great at damaging and loosing those. read more

The homeless population tend to migrate in front of the building where the smoking area is. There were posted signs on the restrooms that you needed to take your ticket to the counter to get the unlock code. That was a joke, everyone has access to that number...including the homeless population that congregates outside. That being said, there were feces everywhere, blood and used needles on the ground and some stalls didn't have toilet paper. The "charging station" has over 2 dozen outlets...that don't hold your charger in. Use the wall outlets below or the ones on the side near the tv in the hallway. read more

Metal chairs in a waiting room, really? Also, the 20 plugs in at the so called "charging station" don't work at all. None of them. I even checked every other visible outlet (near pay phones, near the ATM that is ripped apart) none of them work. There are pigeons inside the building and have to ask security for access to the restroom. The intercom system is abysmal at best. Either that or the employee doesn't know how to operate it. After they stranded our bus at a gas station in the middle of the night, one bus driver saying your next driver will be here in 15 minutes the he left. 5 hours later we finally had a new driver and when I reached Denver they informed me that my next bus would be the following day at 12 noon stranding most of my bus an entire day. And they could care less. State to state these employees DO NOT care about your predicament that they have caused. Really one of the worst companies I have ever been unfortunate to use. Short version: Smelly in summer, and not reliable. Long version: Took the first leg of our 16hr trip. When hopping on the second leg (same ticket though, just a transfer), they would not honor tickets we bought 6 month in advance - their lines/bus numbers change every 3 months. Apparently the first driver shouldn't have even let us on. Stranded, we had to spend $70 just to return home on a shuttle. In addition, they would not refund us the bus ticket or compensate us for a ride home. BUT, they will reissue it for another date, without the reissue fee, which is so incredibly generous of Greyhound. Feeling punished for being organized. Almost slashed all 6 tires. read more

Been coming to this greyhound for years. It's a major stop in the line from east to west coast. The winter months in colorado can be brutal regardless of which direction your going. They close the station at midnight and reopen at around 5 or 6 am. No ticket your on the street for the night. I have seen this station deteriorate over the years and it seems to get worse every year. But this time it looks like some construction is being done on it. read more

Denver actually deserves a four star rating. I've been through the Greyhound station in Denver 6-7 times in the last couple of years. Denver is a very easy terminal to get through, despite the amount of people at some times catching multiple busses outbound. Denver isn't the cleanest around just because of the customers dropping trash, and the amount of foot traffic. There is a little snack shop inside as you enter on the right, left as you exit. The Denver bus terminal also has some of the kindest and chilled out employees working, and they all do their jobs right. If you need to smoke a cigarette or gotta get that hit from your green before boarding, head out the main entrance and turn right, go to the corner turn right and you can sit on the west wall and smoke for a bit read more

So I have to let off some steam my fiance had to ride the grey hound bus back to Oregon to take care of some business in the process he was 24 hours in delay going up there and then on the way back he is again delayed he was supposed to be back in Arkansas Thursday but now they are telling him it can be another 2 days to get home first they tell him one thing and its a bold faced lie right to his face so curently he is stuck in Denver colorodo and they expect him to just sit there and do nothing cant call corporate cause it's a weekend. I took a Grey hound trip recently. I has to change buses in Denver Colorado. I paid $9 cash to have my bags checked . My bag was behind a counter in witch only grey hound employees had access. My bag has been missing for 4 days no one seems to know were it is. It is my believe that a Grey hound employee stole my bag. So now I have had to wear the same cloths for 4 days while in school. I have lost work cloths , boots sleeping bag , hygiene products , prescription glasses , and other important items to my education. No one at greyhound wants to help resolve the issue. I have flown many times and never had this level of problems nor treated so poorly. The cost of this it a good deal of money , embarrassment and making thing difficult at school. read more

I'm going to make this review short & sweet. If you possess even an ounce of self respect or appreciation, you'll steer clear of Greyhound altogether. I had to pay them extra to lose/ misplace one of my bags. Lost luggage, sure, it happens all the time. What doesn't happen is not being able to contact anyone (&I mean anyone) about how to retrieve it. I'm being nice when I say that this outfit sucks! Passed through here, stayed awhile before switching buses to Salt Lake City. Kinda glad I wasn't going to Las Vegas and points West since that bus was way overbooked and they had to get another. Horrible service! I would give NO star if I could! My brother had a midnight departure and we arrived there at 11:35pm and was told ticketing was closed. Why have a departure at 12am when ticket booth is closed at 11:30pm!! So, he couldn't get on the bus. Then I was later told by their customer service rep on the phone that "will call" tickets are only printed once at the station, and if you lose it, you're basically screwed. So, hold onto it with your dear life. What's the point of having an ID and confirmation number!?! Then she went onto say Greyhound is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets, but if you lose it, its up to the station or driver's decision to let you on the bus or not. What kind of shitty policy is that?? Sounds like discrimination to me... The station/ driver can pick and chose? Only my brother whose afraid to fly would chose Greyhound. I only ride Greyhound when I'm connecting to Amtrak and have found that what works for me is to expect the worst (like they cancelled the ride to Raton for no good reason) and be pleased when a decent driver and bus show up (like the cheerful guy who stopped at Loves's to let us get some supper before the ride home.)
