Most of us enjoyed the seasonal mushroom specialty (Pfifferlinge) which came in a cream sauce with or without meat over some kind of potatoes. I chose the traditional potato dumplings (Kloese) which were light and delicious. Others in the group enjoyed the Roulade (meat roll up) and Forelle (Trout). The service was quick and friendly. To get an excellent beef dinner this is the place in Weimar. The food is delicious, the portions are large and the service is efficient and friendly. Also, the price is right. If an "American" style dinner, after all you are in eastern Germany, is what you want, this is the place. I eat here a lot and recommend it highly.
