Frog Park is hiding in plain sight under Highway 24. there's not much happening here. it's for the kids and the dogs(park adjacent to Frog Park). others may find this place pathetic. it's an innovative use of land that's not commercially viable. amendities: play area (swings, slides) for young kids. slide are for older kids, olde trees, benches, grass area. just street parking. many strollers noticed, obviously from the surrounding neighborhood.

Note to the psychotic freak with the grass-stained trousers who lets his big, unruly dogs run free, terrorizing children in the pond. As I loudly demonstrated to you and everyone else yesterday, this mama grizzly will NOT put up with it!

    Yes, someone is inside.

Something to know is there are two locations, Hardy and Redondo. Their website says Redondo is for little kids, so that's where I ended up. I've heard a lot about Frog Park and I was really surprised that it was empty. Then I saw the homeless tent just to the side. One of play structures was stuffed with stuff. I thought maybe the homeless person was using it for storage until a cell phone rang from inside and someone answered. This park isn't big enough for my kid to not run into the occupants. This park looks abandoned by the neighborhood. Now I know why.

I love this park! I will definitely be returning with my three year old and my English Bulldog. So nice having a dog park and playground so close together. Looks like people donate their toys to the playground which is a nice treat too.

Play structures enclosed so you can not see your child play. Very secluded and did not feel safe here. Would not recommend.

There are well maintained, stocked restrooms directly off the big kid play area. Littles and parents will have to time their potty time as it is about 30-45 seconds from the tot play space. After parking, if you can find a spot, the first play area includes a trampoline, climbing structure, a wide metal slide and an oversized musical chime. To the right, a spacious mesh swing spins with kids constantly filling and spinning it. Directly in front is an ample sand area with a brick barrier surrounding it. To the left are three picnic tables. In front of the sand area is the smaller kids play area which is directly next to the restrooms and water fountain. To the left of the little play area is the zip line. When you go further in to the park, there is a covered area with lots of picnic tables and seating grouped together, more benches and lots of grass to play and explore further. There are paths to ride bikes, scooters, roller blades and skateboards. During warmer weather this park is packed. When we visited, following a prior event, there were already lots of kids on a gray, windy, overcast day. This park is spacious on the interior but parking on the exterior is limited. The parking lot is minimal for the amount of space to explore, which is awesome but makes it difficult to navigate up close parking. Street parking is not really existent unless you enter on the opposite end of the park.

Today we hiked the West Ridge-Graham-Dunn Loop Trail. It's a relatively easy trail with a little elevation, but nothing serious. The views are beautiful, and you are surrounded by redwoods, sequoias, and a few other species. We saw the city in the distance covered in fog - it was stunning. Because of all the trees, most of the trail is shady. However, there are a couple of little annoyances... the path is a bit rocky. There's hardly any markers, even at forks. Good thing I had my All Trails app guiding me where to go. And finally, dogs do not need to be leashed (which may be a positive for some folks). Every dog we saw (and there were many) were unleashed. Most were well behaved, but for those afraid of dogs, this is a bit annoying. Overall, a nice serene spot to get some exercise and enjoy nature.

I've been a supporter of Fairyland with their annual fundraiser - online auction for the past few years as well. We parked in the parking inside the parking gate on Bellevue and it is pretty reasonable for parking by the hour or the day. Our grandson was very excited and the first thing we did was attend the puppet show and saw "The Magic Tea Kettle". After that we let him wander around and explore the park and he loved the Dragon Slide and went on multiple times, rode the Merry Go Round a couple of times, the Jolly Trolley before it got busy, The Alice in Wonderland tunnel, Clocktower Slide, Willie the Whale, Ching Lung the Happy Dragon, The Three Little Pigs (but one was missing), The Jolly Roger Pirate Ship and the Ansi's Magic Web, saw the donkeys, ducks, tortoise, chickens, goats. We also ate lunch at cafe and shared chicken nuggets, chicken panini sandwich and chicken quesadilla which were healthy and delicious! At the end of our visit, we went to the gift shop and let him bring home a small trinket. The only suggestion I have is to get safety belts for the Merry Go Round for peace of mind.
