Our family's experience with Mark Barnes, an associate at Michelle Turpin PC was negative. He…read morerefused to give his Utah State Bar number when asked, scheduled a meeting he was 40 minutes late for, then changed the location at the last minute which is very unprofessional and rude. He made unsubstantiated allegations to try to deceptively create evidence in the court case. When his message was presented to police, they explained Mr. Barnes was trying to corroborate his false accusations by using misleading language. While in court he accused his own witness, lawyer Miles Brody of Moody Brown Law, of being a liar. He shamelessly discredited Mr. Brody's testimony in front of the judge, just so he could win his case. Mr. Barnes was unprepared for court, turning his evidence in only hours before the trial when it was asked to be submitted 5 days prior by the court as to gain an unfair advantage. I do not recommend Mark Barnes and would seek representation elsewhere because of his disgraceful behavior in and out of court, not confirming if his facts were accurate, and unable to provide evidence to verify his statements. I am unfamiliar with Michelle Turpin because I only dealt with her associate, Mark Barnes.

Tax Accounting Corporation of America - Filing taxes made easy!

I'm normally that person at tax time who buys the particular piece of H&R Block software that I…read moreneed and does my own taxes. It's never been that difficult for me (probably partially because I did work a season at H&R Block in another life), though admittedly it does tend to take a chunk of time and that small nagging feeling in the back of my mind hoping against hope that I didn't mess up and I don't get audited. This year, however, I had a few special concerns dealing with real estate and I knew that finding a CPA to answer some questions would be a good move. We found Rob Haertel (head of Tax Accounting Corporation of America) on the UACPA (Utah Association of CPAs) website and after narrowing the search down to a handful of prospective CPAs, checking online reviews, and making contact with everyone on our list, we decided to go with Rob. We liked that he has been in the business for approximately 40 years and that he could answer questions dealing with small businesses and real estate (he is also the president of Capital Assets Financial, a mortgage lending company). Rob was very professional and pleasant to work with. I was very satisfied with the way he went through the tax preparation with us and made sure that we knew what he was doing and why, giving us useful information along the way. He spent as much time as we needed to answer all of our questions; and, despite the fact that we were there longer than anticipated, we never felt rushed or pushed out the door. I definitely got the feeling that Rob genuinely enjoys the work he does. Tax Accounting Corporation of America specializes in: Tax return filing and tax planning for individuals and small businesses LLC formation and tax return filing Corporate formation tax return filing Nonprofit formation and tax return filing Financing for individuals and small businesses Estate planning Asset protection planning I would definitely recommend Rob to anyone who is in need of any of the above services. As I mentioned before, I found him to be pleasant and professional, but also honest, conscientious, and knowledgeable. I will absolutely continue to use Rob's services in the the future.

Best CPA around! Very affordable and flexible. Speaks Spanish fluently too! Highly recommend!!read more

Hmmm so many bad reviews. I'll be completely honest. I did not utilize this firms services. I live…read morein California but I wanted to help my family with a probate issue. I had a lot of basic questions about how to get the ball rolling and I felt that the person I spoke to was very responsive, respectful and helpful. In my experience the best way to see if you will have a good experience here is to go through the reviews and see if people who needed the same legal help as you got great service or not and go from there (for example, divorce help terrible, probate help great - just like you wouldn't go to a breast augmentation expert for your rhinoplasty)

DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM. I was an active-duty military member who found this firm because of their…read moreclaim of understanding UCMJ, military, and federal law while going through a divorce. I had no property to divide, no children, no retirement, etc. to split hairs over. David Hunt was my representative, and I retained him for $5,000 up front. My final bill was almost $10,000 and you would think for even a price that large he would file everything accurately? No. My divorce decree, that he prepared, was so vague that my ex was able to take me back to court and capitalize on his inability to serve the person he was representing. I had to hire ANOTHER attorney, to fight the language that HE used in the decree because the other side took advantage of it. This law firm only cares about them getting paid. They do not care about representing their clients. Their claims of understanding UCMJ law were false, I had to educate Mr. Hunt the entire time on the military process. When people are going through serious life events, such as a divorce, where emotions and tensions are high, the expectation is that the attorney you hire maintains the status quo, is an advisor, and can help you navigate the difficult time. Instead, Mr. Hunt was ill-prepared, showed a lack of attention to detail in terms of how his client was being represented, and he not only failed me as a client, but he also created additional unnecessary legal battles and stress for me, that could've been mitigated if he did his job correctly. If you are an active-duty military member or looking at this law firm for assistance with anything military related, I would look elsewhere. Pay attention to the bad reviews and save yourself money.
